PoliticsRe: President Buhari Didn't Wear Face-Mask. EU Delegates Wore FaceMasks As They Meet by Niorte: 10:58am On Apr 15, 2020
Wilstino:
Before you speculate, Experts says wearing nose mask, only helps prevent an infected person from passing the virus, it does not prevent an uninfected person from contracting it. Hence social distancing and good hygiene is being advocated. This is also the reason people are now advised to wear nose mask.

Hence, you may also look at it from the angle that Mr President is clean and doesn't want anyone meeting with him, to infect him with the virus.
So all the people around him are not knowledge to know what expert says.

That man we called Buhari is already wearing a face mask, how are they expecting him to wear another mask??

PoliticsWhat Indians Said About Their Government, Can Nigerians Say The Same? by Niorte(op):
Apostle Suleiman has been giving out palliatives to individuals by asking them to drop their account details. He has done it to the North, West and East. This, he had done in conjunction with Reno Omokri and Dele Momodu.

Few days ago, the controversial Imam of Peace twitted that Indians should follow Apostle Suleiman and drop their PayPal account for funding by the Apostle.

Read the responses from Indians below. Can we Nigerians ever trust our government like the Indianshuh

Niggmatic:
Do you recover from malaria without antimalarial drug intervention?
Most you think malaria is ordinary because we already have antimalarial drugs.
Stop making comment like an illiterate.

Even in Italy and Spain, over 80 percent of still recover from covid19
Try and be wise plus learn to read between lines.

They recovered without intervention simply means without the necessary coronavirus medication. It does not mean they never used any drug?

And for your information, not everyone takes drugs to recover from malaria.

According to Paracelsus, "let thy food be thy medicine, and medicine thy food

There is a significant difference between FOOD and DRUG

HealthFood Relief Package May Be Inoculated With The Virus by Niorte(op): 7:50am On Apr 08, 2020
This is no time to trust anyone. Specially for the fact that our leaders are not doing anything different from what other countries of the world are doing.

The vested interest want the vaccine to be tested in Africa because they felt our lives are worthless compared to theirs. I am certain our Africans leaders especially leaders in Nigeria do not have the gut to say NO to a White Man's idea. We always embrace it in totality.

Just like how they spread HIV/AIDS in Africa through innoculated vaccines.

Please let us take caution as this food relief package may also be innoculated with the nCov-19.

Even President Trump does not believe in the WHO anymore. Like he said, they are now China centric.

China will not give you something without taking something from you. Nigeria leaders beware!

Don't let your love for freebies make you a victim of the powers that be.

Watch and pray. Trust nobody, trust no government

Whether the pastor is rich or not is not even my problem.

My problem is that someone who saw it fit to build a multi billion naira engineering faculty in a school in Nigeria is out here saying 5g causes corona virus.
Swift to hear and slow to speak.

He didn't say 5G cause Coronavirus. He only said Coronavirus was created to cause FEAR so that people will EMBRACE the 5G as a solution to Vaccine Digital ID.

Next time, comprehend before you comment
Christianity EtcRe: Churches In Nigeria Will Be Taxed By The Succeeding Administration by Niorte: 2:30pm On Apr 05, 2020
Akunwafor:
It is quite incredible that Pastor Chris of Christ Embassy has taken his time to say mouth watering rubbish as regards his theory on the 5g network and Covid-19.

As such, feeble minded Nigerians have swallowed everything hook, line and sinker and you can imagine a whole former senator of a Federal republic saying the government should stunt technological advancement because 5g is of the "antichrist".

***and someone created a topic on nairaland saying the government is laying '5g cables' in lagos. O lord!

As long as pastors keep using their medium to spread unintelligent and unfounded rumors, in the process drifting away from what the church was established for; said church(es) should be taxed.

I'm bored abeg.
Leave spirituality aside. Pastor Chris is a doctor, what's your qualification??

PoliticsRe: N4,000 Credited to 250,000 Bank Customers is better than N1billion to FG by Niorte(op): 5:25pm On Apr 01, 2020
ivolt:
Most of the money will end up with people who don't need it.
A private person cannot determine the poor who deserves donation but the government
can organize such.

Many people who deserve the donation most don't even have bank accounts.
We are talking about their customers. At least they know all their customers account balance.

I agree with you. Please rephrase the subject to

N4,000 Credited to 250,000 Bank Customers is better than N1b to FG.
Done. Thanks
PoliticsN4,000 Credited to 250,000 Bank Customers is better than N1billion to FG by Niorte(op):
Just my opinion. Seeing the lack of transparency and accountability displayed by our governments in the time past on Money Matters, I think it would have been better for Banks to credit N4000 each to 250,000 customers than donation of N1Billion to the Federal Government. We all know the donation will be explained away very soon.

If Banks such as UBA and GTBank had credited customers account with a token of N4000 each during this lock down, the following would have happened
1, Their donations would have been more impactful to the citizens and states where there is lockdown

2, There would be better publicity for the bank, this is a good marketing strategy

3, Banks would have earn loyalty from some customers

4, Some people may quickly want to open account with the bank through their online platforms so they can qualify for the credits.

Banks can choose whose account to be credited by creating criteria such as
- Location/residence of Customers
- Transaction Activities of Customers
- Account Balance of Customers

This will go a long way to cushion the effects of the lockdown on the citizens.

Imagine UBA and GTBank reaching out to 500000 customers with N4000 each.

All over the world, governments are giving out at this point, but here in our dear country, government are collecting and not willing to give back.
PoliticsRe: COVID-19: 11 Million Poor Nigerians To Get Palliatives — FG by Niorte: 7:11am On Apr 01, 2020
Hmmm

When will the tax payers ever going to benefit from the govt?

Another way to fund the poor in the North. This ought to be shared based on effects on each state.

Lagos people for example should have the largest share as they are the most hit and most affected by the Lockdown.

All those who sell loaves of bread on the road, cold soft drinks and gala are not included on that list. These are struggling Nigerians, not the beggars in the North waiting for free food.

At such a time as this. Every body should be catered for except those who think they don't need federal govt help.

In the US for example, those who earn 75k or below are entitled to $1200 while those who earn above $75k are entitled to $2400 every month.

Here in Nigeria, we always give out money to an imaginary poor people who do not contribute anything to the economy and give no benefits of any kind to those who actually pay their taxes and struggle to work.

80% of the poor are in the north....that's where the money is going but there are only few affected states in the north.

Federal Govt is your government ONLY FOR THE POOR??

Where is your brainhuh How can you ask people to stay at home when you did not do anything to make life better for them. Why Copy America's stay at homehuh

Your type is the reason why Nigeria is a fourth-world country and her leader ridiculed around the world.

What specific palliatives has the FG made for those who stay at home? You can't be a good father if you ONLY want to exercise a father's authority and neglect your responsibilities. Your children will disrespect you.

At least, provide according to your ability, let the people know you have tried. Stop giving excuses for a failed govt like a nuisance
PoliticsRe: Feeding School Children Under Covid-19 Lock-down: Am I Missing Something? by Niorte: 7:49am On Mar 30, 2020
I read it too. So funny Nigerians do not demand the right thing from their leaders.

In all his speech, he did not address the people that will be most affected by the lockdown but was talking about Tradermoni and co. Can they do business with tradermoni at this period.

Rather than make provision for all those affected by the locked down, he was talking about people who are solely dependent on govt and do not contribute anything to the economy.

Businesses will be affected yet no palliative measures

All we heard is tradermoni and school feeding.

Which home has the govt provided that want people to stay?
Is there light in that home?
Is there food at home?
Is there potable water at home?
Other countries that asked their citizens to stay home, what packages do they give to their citizens?

Any job security for staying home?
Any financial allowances for staying home?
Any tax-free policy?

We will stay home if Govt will be responsible for our upkeeps

Precious4real50:
A state like Lagos state should be on lockdown by now to check mate the speared of coronavirus but the useless governor is doing it the buhari way who allowed flights from China and other infected countries. If States with one or two cases can lockdown their state then what is stopping Lagos state with more than 40 cases from doing the same thing to save lives? Lockdown Lagos now but they won't listen until it get out hand.

I still remain Ada ogwashi cool
What do you mean by lockdown? If it is nobody comes in or goes out, fine. But if it is the STAY AT HOME theory then a BIG NO.

You cannot ask people to stay at home without food, water and light.
