Lipscomb:When it comes to Lagos state, I am not just a lagosian but a stakeholder. Don't think whoever has an opposing view is a PDP member or from the East. I am not partisan and I will always speak and write for the truth in my little way. Sunday should not have been considered if the party respect the Christians. The message is not to cause any e-religious war but the fact. If APC leaders are thoughtful enough, they could have considered it. For those who want to mention me, you will be a fool to think I am a PDP supporter, you will also be stupid to think I am from the East. |
Shukuakukobambi:You are too petty. |
Christians need to be weary of this religious biased party called APC. I know some Christians may not share in this view but Lagos APC is religiously biased. The National Leader, Senator Tinubu who is a muslim was Governor of Lagos state for 8 years. Babatunde Raji Fashola, another Muslim governed Lagos for 8 Years. Now it is the turn of a Christian, they do not want Governor Akinwumi Ambode to complete his 8 years. Christians have been inactive and naive in politics. To make matter worse, APC fixed Primaries on a Sunday when the Christians would be out for their religious services. I am very certain, the Muslim and MURIC would have cried out if such event was fixed for Friday. This date was simply to prevent some Christians in the party to exercise their franchise and support governor Akinwumi Ambode. The date show lack of respect and sensitivity to the Christians day of worship. Il Must we always have the Muslims rule Lagos? Even though Governor Akinwumi Ambode has not in anyway favour the Christians in his appointments. In fact, he made a blunder concerning the priest he sent out of government house. We, as Christians, must look beyond that. If APC is not biased to the Christians, why should they fixed the primaries on a Sunday? See the rescheduled dates for other offices, observe that FRIDAY WAS LEFT OUT! The National Working Committee (NWC) has rescheduled the Governorship Primary Election to 30th September, 2018. Subsequent elections are unchanged and as follows: 2nd October, 2018 – Senate Primary Elections 3rd October, 2018 – House of Representatives Primary Elections 4th October, 2018 – State House of Assembly Primary Elections WHAT HAPPENS TO 5TH OCTOBER, 2018 - NO ELECTION BECAUSE IT IS FRIDAY! 6th October, 2018 – National Convention (Presidential) SIGNED: Mr. Yekini Nabena Ag. National Publicity Secretary Modified: Now that the primary has been shifted. I am satisfied. Let the best Aspirant win. For those who have been supporting the previous scheduled date of Sunday, I say shame on you. Now I know there are some reasonable and influential personalities on Nairaland. |
Dailymemoirs:That's where you are missing it. Italian league has more defenders than strikers. Ronaldo is an ambitious striker. Average goals in a match in Premiership is over 2 goals. Average goals in a match in Laliga is over 2.5 goals But average goals in a match in Serie A is under 2.5 This means his scoring chances have been reduced significantly. Ronaldo is a great player no doubt but the league he is, does not support his style of play. |
Dailymemoirs:I wish you were courteous! Nevertheless, I understand that some people are very emotional about Ronaldo and Messi. Ronaldo moving from Manchester United to Real Madrid can be liked to moving from one sales department to another while his move to Juventus was like moving from sales department to production department. Manchester United is an ambitious club (very rich club) Real Madrid is an ambitious club (very rich club) C Ronaldo is an ambitious player Is Juventus that ambitious and rich like the other two clubs? Leave sentiment aside, Ronaldo is already feeling the pain of his move. He didn't cry because of the red card, he cried because his opportunity to meet up expectations was cut short. He cried because Juventus are winning without him. He cried because strange things are happening in his present career phase. |
Ronaldo greatest undoing was his move to Juventus. In life, one needs to understand that certain environment or location can contribute to one's success. He was fantastic at Real Madrid, but decided to leave for a lesser Club - Juventus. Considering also that Serie A clubs are very defensive and can make a lifetime injury on a player's career. Ronaldo's decision was his undoing. A player who always scores now needs patience and prayers from his fans before he can score. That is retrogression.... Very soon, people will come to terms that his move to Juventus was a great mistake. In a short while, the management of Juventus might me hostile on him if he did not justify the money spent on him. My take away from the Messi-Ronaldo career is that one should stay with a company where one is celebrated and where the environment enhances one's productivity and efficiency. Messi celebrated his 18 years in Barcelona with a hat trick during their opening match against PSV. To someone reading this, before you take a move for greener pastures, ensure you are able to do your SWOT analysis - Know your strength, weakness, opportunity and threat. For Ronaldo, he has gone to a league where we can find high quality defenders. A striker that plays against strong defenders on a weekly basis will soon get tired or fatigued. While Messi is celebrating a hat trick in a new Champions league season, his fellow competitor is in a mess of three matches ban. Finally, stay where you are as long as you are celebrated and achieving great feats. You don't need to impress the world by travelling world over and changing company. This has cost Zlatan Ibrahimovic many accolades that could have made him the best of all time!

RevenGeMission:And to think the one who delivered the money, Obanikoro is enjoying life in APC now is amazing. What kind of corruption are we fighting? Spit |
Just in case you are wondering if it is true. I am here to disappoint you. The President will never give such order. His fight against corruption has been selective! If Buhari can order a probe into Alpha Beta, I may consider voting for him. Do you think the President has enough courage to do that? |
APC may reject Ambode but we the true Lagosians will vote for him. This Ambode is not accused of corruption or nepotism or incompetence but on frivolous things that no one of them is bold enough to state, probably Ambode is not feeding their corrupt siphoning again. Ambode has Character and Competence...what else do we need? Though he might have his weakness but is he not to be preferred than someone who has not been tested in the same office? How sure are we that Sanwo-Olu will do better or worse than Ambode. The public are not complaining about Ambode, it is the politicians that are complaining.....A good reasons all Lagosians must rally round him. |
[quote author=Splashme post=71268876]Ali Baba is ignorant of the NYSC law: 1) NYSC does not issue EXEMPTION to everyone above 30yrs. Excemption is only for those who are ABOVE 30yrs AT THE TIME OF GRADUATION. Kemi was 22 at the time of graduation. 2) If you graduate at an age below 30 and fail to serve (like Kemi Adeosun), the NYSC law says you must serve even if you attain the age of 80. No EXCEPTION for such people. You are very correct. |
Juicy24:Thank you so much. God bless you. I am a male but will still give it a trial. |

saibuhari:Don't be proud! Intelligence is not by tribe. All the Igbos I have met all my life were average students. Number of admitted students does not equate brilliance or superiority. I still maintain that the Eastern have low admission rate. East: 100 applied, 23 admitted South west: 50 applied, 20 admitted North: 40 applied, 12 admitted From the above it is crystal clear that even though the east have the highest number of applicant and admitted students, they still have the lowest percentage in terms of application to admittance ratio Won't comment on this issue again |
TundeBricklayer:If the statistics was real for the set period. Then the Eastern people have more enrolment. A contributing factor to that may be because the Igbo are well spread across Nigeria than the other two major tribes. Once again, thanks for sharing! Facts don't lie. Have a blessed day |
Akanti50:Great work you did! Thanks for sharing the stats. However, I observed from the JAMB stats that IMO state has the lowest admission rate though they have highest number of applicants. What the stats suggest is that while 10 people from the East apply for admission, only about 2 get admitted. Meanwhile, in a state like Benue, when 10 people apply for admission, about 6 get admitted. In other words, the ratio of applicants to admission is lowest for the eastern states....that still validate my point |
Chinachriss:Lol....do you know my tribe? One of the attributes I saw during my service year: pride. But igbo ladies....fantastic! Ifeyinwa and Ifeoma come to mind...lovely Igbo girls |
Wonder shall never ceases |
Adelaide2:Both of us are not in planet Earth then. I'm replying you from planet Mars.... |
Akanti50:I'm not here to support or oppose any tribe. Could you please give me a link to a statistics on that? That will change my view. During my service year, I was with all Igbo corps members, the impression created did not suggest the waec statistics above. These were people who went to Nnamdi Azikiwe Uni, UNN, and other universities in the East. |
I mean no disrespect... The East always top in WAEC but cannot boast of same in terms of higher (university) education. I suggest the eastern people be encouraged to always obtain a university degree.. Such feat should not end with WAEC |
Ronaldo was undermined by his club ..Messi wasn't....don't compare the two
