I actually need some clarifications on this. I went to the National Horticultural Research Institute, (NIHORT) Ibadan, yesterday to get something done. To my surprise, the Oyo state government had locked up the research institute on account of tax issues. While inquiring further, I was told the tax issue was dated back between 2003 and 2008. My question is, does the state government has power to lock up a federal government establishment? |
Time for serious politicking |
Adelabu yio di Gomina, gbogbo wa la o gbe de be o. A lady has been singing the song above even before I know who Adelabu is. |
iamdynamite:Do you also remember Buhari said so after losing three times? |
I remembered during the debate of Fashola and JK..... It was a flawless victory for JK. I liked his articulation and presentation. If voting was by who won a debate, JK would had been the Governor of Lagos State. I am looking forward to the debate between JK and Sanwo-Olu. Buhari failed three times before he became the President therefore, there is much hope for JK |
deomelo:It is a pity. You wrote about Road Maps. You let politicians keep deceiving you or you are a politician yourself. My question to you. Have you seen the road map yourself? Have you seen the master plan? Is the master plan supposed to be hidden from the public if truly there is one? The hard truth is that Ambode's issue is not about performance but politicking. Calling Ambode a failure is very uncharitable! No government in this world is good in every sector. He might have gone low in the environment issue. But I dare say, both Tinubu and Fashola cannot compete with Ambode when it comes to empowerment and human development. Fashola worked on things. Ambode develops people. Lagos State Employment Trust Fund is there to show. CodeLagos project is there and many other training programs for Lagosians. The problem with us is that when someone goes wrong in one area, we tend to make look bad in other areas. That a student failed Chemistry in WAEC as a Science student did not mean He was a poor students, have you considered his Physics, Mathematics, Biology etc. No wonder our Judiciary is corrupt. We are very sentimental. |
TrueNigerian300:Let's accept APC has failed Lagosians. APC gave us Ambode the failure, thereby retarding the development of Lagos. Now they are bringing up Sanwo-Olu, the question is can we still trust them? They are all hailing Fashola today but when Fashola presented Shasore and Hamzat, this same Tinubu insisted on Ambode.... Can we still trust him. NO is the answer. If Ambode that was an accountant general could perform as a failure as you have said, what do we expect from Sanwo-Olu who at best is managing LSDPC |
ModsareChevres:Fallacy of hasty generalisation. How can someone who did not know you snub you? Did you wave to him and expect a wave back? Did you know what mood he was? You can only snub someone who you know but don't want to relate with or someone who tries to get your attention. Someone was inside his car and you said he snub you. Please go get a life. |
TrueNigerian300:In case you don't know, the money that FG owed Lagos state during Tinubu/Obasanjo tenure was paid during Fashola's administration. So there was lots of money to us. I won't take away the fact that Fashola did well during his First term. His second term was average performance |
TrueNigerian300:Thank you for the long story. As old as you are, you believed the woman simply because she said what you wanted to hear. In all honesty, compare Oshodi during Fashola and Ambode's tenure Compare that smelling Ojota during Fashola and Ambode's tenure Please compare Berger during Fashola and Ambode's tenure Compare Ajah traffic during Fashola and Ambode's tenure. That you hate or are told to hate someone should not stop you from saying the truth. Fashola did well in his term. Ambode is also doing well. Don't try to paint Fashola as Mr Perfect, he had his errors too. Do you think dirtiness of the environment is not politically motivated. You may not believe this. The LAWMA people were only trying to make a statement hence they create more problem from the new competitor. Here is a country where someone will tar a road, and enemies of progress will go at odd hours to create potholes on the road just for political noise. Tinubu has won the battle but he has already lost the war. Many people pleaded with him but he turned deaf ears claiming his supporters would not accept. But we all know that when he sneezes, his supporters catch cold. President, governors, leaders and other high ranking politicians begged him and he insisted NO. A day will come, he also will beg and no one will hear him. Except the law of diminishing return ceases to hold |
slimfit1:Yoruba people don't endorse failure But will they endorse Buhari? |
Ambode is the first politician that will be love by the masses but hated by greedy politicians. We have seen Ambode's performance, how can a reasonable person support a candidate who he cannot vouch for his performance. Ambode is an accountant, it is true many accountant and frugal with money. It is part of their profession to ensure accountability. This is the pain of APC and Tinubu. Ambode has blocked many financial leakages. If the masses fail to stand by Ambode, we can be sure Sanwo-Olu will be loyal to the politicians and not the public when he emerges a Governor. The fight is not about Ambode Vs Sanwo-Olu It is about The Public Interest Vs Politicians Interest It is about For those who are outside Lagos and fed with propaganda. Ambode is not hated by all these people social media write about. Many of the politicians posters in Lagos include the picture of Ambode until Tinubu went against him. People who are against Ambode are people who don't have political influence and receive order from above. Why should APC do OPEN DIRECT PRIMARY? It is because they are afraid that all those singing praises of Sanwo-Olu would go ahead and support Ambode. No matter the outcome of the election, APC is already a loser. If Ambode won, Tinubu and his gang would work against him. If Sanwo-Olu won, the other party would capitalise on the allegation levelled against him. How would APC campaigned, that all Ambode had done was not part of the master plan....so they have cost us 4 years.... How sure are we the next person they are bringing on board won't do likewise. Be wise, support the person the politicians are against. Nigerian politicians do not have our interest at heart |
sarrki:I just confirm now, the list was for those who endorses Sanwo-Olu. The second part is shown below
|
sarrki:We all only speak based on what we know. Lagos has a well-informed minds. Any action against Ambode now will be seen as persecution. They can not impeach Ambode without a cause. Not even at this moment when all politicians are trying to garner votes for themselves. Ambode is an accountant and knows a lot about who and who is collecting Lagos money, the same way he knows where to block. It will be difficult to impeach him on something of substance. Lagos politics is quite different from Naija politics. |
SadiqBabaSani:Can you tell us your leadership experience and in what capacity. Talk is cheap. So he should continue to waste the commonwealth of the majority or the minority. When most of them are not even bonafide sons of Lagos. |
sarrki:Are you sure those signature are for the purpose of impeachment. There are many reasons for writing names and signing. My brother's name is on that list yet he is in support of the Governor. |
buhariguy:Lower population means lower manpower and human resources yet things were doing great. How have we maximized the population we have. There is strength in population if well harnessed. Buhari is one of the past corrupt leaders na. Head of state, petroleum minister and now president. Buhari is one of the past corrupt leaders |
buhariguy:I didn't believe you could ask such question. I perceive you should be more intelligent than that. But I observe that many who support the present administration by all means ended up losing their minds. Spain is a country that keep his population under check. Now they are ready for population growth hence they have declare a day called SEX DAY. Awareness on use of contraceptives, Educating the populace through formal and informal means. Liaising with religious leaders etc. There's nothing bad supporting your paymaster but try and be objective always |
I agree with your analysis. Why should one pay for the job he has not gotten. If millions could apply for FRSC, you could imagine how many would apply for this BRISIN that includes BSc, MSc, PhD, OND and SSCE Big scam |
Before you say Happy Independence, answer these questions. 1. How was the quality of education before independence? 2. How easy or difficult was it to get employment before independence? 3. Why do many still rush to the country of the colonial masters? Are we really Independent? |
They declare public holiday but they are doing their own political work. |
Nigeria celebrates its independence every year on October 1st, both in the capital Abuja and 36 states. The President broadcasts a live speech on television and radio to mark the commencement of Independence Day celebrations. There will be flag raising ceremony to honor the nation. The armed forces parades with cultural dances are followed after the Presidential speech. The dance troops, singers, students from all states take part in the Independence Day celebration. On this day homage is paid to the freedom fighters and other national leaders who fought for the independence of Nigeria from the colonial rule. The celebration is an ideal platform for national integration in Nigeria. I don't know the deadline given to all parties to conduct their primaries. But I find it insensitive of the APC-led Federal Government to shift gubernatorial primaries to Nigerian Independence Day. I maintained that Sunday was not a good choice because it is a religious day for the Christian, I also believe Monday would have been a better day save for the Independence Day. APC should have thought deeply especially as politicians |
What is the essence of the gubernatorial primary when the party has already endorsed Sanwo-Olu |
I am a Nigerian who desires progress and development of this Nation. I believe a party based on propaganda cannot take us to the promise land. Let me tell you what you may not know about APC presidential primaries and the fake results being circulated. First: Did election actually hold? From a reliable source, I was told there was no election in a particular local government and I assume same for others but only names where submitted. Of course more names could be written just to increase the numbers. Election did not hold, names were only collated. Whether present or not. Secondly, APC are mischievously rolling out imaginative figures so that during election by next year February, they will use these figures to rig elections. Take for example, in 2015 presidential election in Kano, APC had 1,903,999 votes while PDP had 215,779 votes according to INEC. The almost 2 million votes of APC included those who were not party members and at a time when everyone was optimistic about the party. Fast forward to 2018... They are rolling out over 2 million votes as registered party members in Kano alone, how possible? While in Imo state, APC had 133,253 votes in presidential election of 2015, fast forward to 2018.... they are rolling out over 600 thousands votes as party members ONLY. Fellow nonpartisan Nigerians, subtracting 133000 from 600000, we will have over 450000. Where did the 450000 new votes came from between 2015 and 2018 when many people who supported APC then are now alone and full of regrets. Finally, it took INEC almost a day to count results of about 4 local government with voters less than 5000 votes in Osun state but APC Kano was able to roll out over 2 million votes within a day. How possible? It is surprising to see that APC figures are more than the total voters of 2015 presidential election as recorded by INEC

dyydxx:What do you then say about the NWC now that it has been shifted? Anyway, I have make my point known and the real and important people have read and done the needful. Let the sycophants keep applauding and defending every of their action. Now that it has been shifted from Sunday, let the best best Aspirant win! |
Good for the party for postponing it. Some sycophants of APC here are very unreasonable. I will not be surprised if the postponement has to do with the point I raised. A pen is sharper than a sword! It is all about constructive criticism. |
abes:You are certainly naive to think politics can survive without religion. If I may ask, why the Muslim-Christian ticket? Why not Muslim-Muslim ticket or Christian-Christian ticket. Nigerians are very sensitive to religion. This may not happen in other countries but here in Nigeria, it is evident. Why do politicians want to identify with Muslims celebrations and Christians gathering? It is to boost their political ambition. Let APC field Muslim-Muslim ticket in Lagos and let's watch how it goes. |
abes:You admitted not seeing the September 30th date yet you went further to defend their choice. What happens to September 29th? Why can't they fixed the Presidential Primaries for Sunday. Fact is Nigeria is a very religious country and a party that mean good must put this into cognisance. I hate it when people keep comparing APC to PDP.....PDP was voted out because their shortcomings.... Yet APC are plying same route and do not want to be condemned! You have to be different to make a difference! |
Shukuakukobambi:
|
abes:Observe and read carefully, September 30 is Gubernatorial primaries. September 30 is on Sunday. |
Beremx:Just being analytical. I'm referring to the leadership of APC and not the person of Tinubu or Fashola. Ambode is a Christian Sanwo-Olu is a Muslim Hamzat is a Muslim Why should primary hold on a religious day. That is not fair to Ambode. If the people reject Ambode, no problem but putting him at a disadvantage by the system is unfair. There is always the law of diminishing return. |
