I think well meaning Nigerians are not stupid. Nobody is against his higher qualification. What we are saying is that he obtained those higher qualification under false pretence. The Question is: If the US Army can reply on his studies, why can't the Nigerian Military respond to the certificate issue after three years. No doubt Buhari attended courses as a military man but HE DID NOT POSSESS THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION TO HAVE BEEN ENROLLED IN THE ARMY. For someone who manipulated his way to get admission into a University without possess the minimum WAEC result, such higher degree obtained is therefore NULL AND VOID |
A man who started with excuses would certainly continue with excuses when voted in. |
dyydxx:Tinubu can NEVER be the President of Nigeria. He has successfully created enemies for himself while claiming to be a godfather... The best Tinubu can be is to remain a godfather. Tinubu is a greedy and corrupt man. He has disgraced Ambode.....someone is preparing to disgrace him too. Power is transient. The Nigerian voters are now well informed. Tinubu association with Buhari has nailed his political ambition. Tinubu will never govern Nigeria! Save this comment |
resurgent4oodua:So of what benefit will it be if the country will be divided after enduring the present clueless administration. You are free to stand with whoever you think best. Just to ask you... What is Buhari standing for? A) Equity, justice and fairness B) Peace, Unity and Progress C) Division, Nepotism and Propaganda In all honesty, whoever is #standingwithBuhari is definitely not a progressive |
The same way you are disappointed in the mass media, the masses are disappointed in you. This govt keep making noise about going back to Agriculture. What type of agriculture are we talking about? Is it the same Subsistence farming or commercial farming? What has the government done to improve crop yield, improve farming technology and reduced labour? Even if everybody in Nigeria goes into Agriculture, we cannot excel EXCEPT we practice modern system of Agriculture which is based on technologies and improved crop seeds and varieties. Thanks to IITA but they are limited to specific crops |
This statement from Fashola is very unintelligent. Now I believe the saying that when sheep move with dogs, they will also eat feaces. Is he saying Power cannot return to Southwest without supporting Buhari? How has power been in the Southwest a benefit to the common man? We want competence and good character, not these power returning to southwest statement. What if the northerners go against the plan in 2023? Let the best aspirant win. We the real and civilised southwesterners are not power-monger. We cannot destroy our today by reelecting Buhari for a 2023 future which is largely uncertain. Enough of Incompetence! |
Only people in the south will embrace this. Regrettably, it will be to the disadvantage of the Southerners. Already, the south have been controlling numbers of children. THIS LAW SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN PART STARTING FROM THE NORTH. IF SUCCESSFUL, IT CAN BE EXTENDED TO THE SOUTH. I may want to ask whoever gave the statistics on our population growth to show us the rate at which the North and South are growing |
Stop! Think! Then comment. He was not saying there was no movies or film before 1999. Nollywood is an organisation/association of artistes. Nollywood brought some level of cooperation, regulation, monetisation etc to Nigeria Movie Industry. Try to understand others before clamouring to be understood In 2012, it was announced that Nollywood would be celebrating its 20-year anniversary. This year marked the 20th year after the release of direct-to-video movie Living in Bondage (1992), which arguably marked the boom in the video film era. The anniversary was eventually celebrated in June 2013.[9][20][21] The event was later revealed to be a decision of a segment of the industry and not a unanimously agreed event; the event was organized by Association of Movie Producers (AMP), an association consisting of producers of video films.[9][20][21] Since announcement of the "Nollywood @ 20" event in 2012 till its celebration in 2013, the event had sparked controversies from many stakeholders; most of whom believed the industry was much older than 20 years. Since Nollywood has been a term for the entire Nigerian film industry, it was argued that Living in Bondage cannot be used to celebrate the Nigerian film industry, stating that the film wasn't, in fact, the first Nigerian video film, neither was it the first "successful" video film,[22] much less the first Nigerian film.[23] This controversial celebration also gave rise to reports that another segment of the industry, the "Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP)" are planning to rename the industry into another term which would encompass the entire history of Nigerian film industry, since the term Nollywood has allegedly become ethnically dichotomized.[21][24] While it was argued by supporters of the event that it was the "Nollywood brand" that was being celebrated and not the industry, counter-arguments were made that the term "Nollywood" came into existence only in the 2000s, so explanations were needed on how the "Nollywood Brand" could be extended to the year 1992 which isn't specifically significant in any way, and why not just to the very first Nigerian film that was made.[25][26] Alex Eyengho had noted in a 2012 article that the term "Nollywood" was absent during the formative years of both the video film era and the Golden Age.[7] Seun Apara, in his article on 360Nobs.com stated: "It's either the promoters of the event didn't do their research well or intentionally do not want to reckon with history".[9] Adegboyega Oyeniya comments: "I don't know what they are talking about by celebrating 'Nollywood @ 20'; are they celebrating Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah or Genevieve Nnaji? Probably, they are celebrating fortune. These people should stop deceiving Nigerians".[27] Some media outlets also reported that the event was a result of greed and selfish interests, as the organizers visited political figures to solicit funds in the name of the Industry, but allegedly shared the funds raised amongst themselves.[9] Another issue raised to fault the event is that the real "achievers" in Nollywood were not honoured, but rather the practitioners at almost the same level with the organizers of the supposed flawed event were honoured.[23] Several filmmakers and stakeholders expressed their displeasure with the supposed false celebration; Kunle Afolayan commented: "The whole idea of Nollywood at 20 does not make sense to me because the Nollywood that I know is more than 20 years. I remember my father shot a film about 37 years ago and I also grew up in the industry. As far as am concerned, it's absolute crap".[9] In another interview, he stated: "If Nollywood is the name that people decide to call the movie industry in Nigeria, then I am part of it. If Nollywood is what they say is 20 years, then I am not part of that Nollywood because I have been doing film business for more than 30 years now".[28] Jide Kosoko also commented: "The Nigerian movie industry as far as I'm concerned is not 20 years. If we all truly belong to the same industry, then the industry I belong to is not 20 years. There is a need to tell the world the sincere story of our industry and don't rubbish the pioneers. As far as I am concerned, what they are celebrating is Living in Bondage and not Nollywood".[9] Tunde Kelani stated: "how will Nollywood be celebrating 20 years and I am over 40 years in the industry?".[27] President of Actors Guild of Nigeria at the time, Ibinabo Fiberesima, admitted that Nollywood is more than 20, but given what was considered an unconvincing statement on the reason behind the event, stating: "It's about celebrating our own even though Nollywood is more than 20 years. It's been long that people have been celebrating us but right now, we are celebrating ourselves and giving lots back to society. It's a good step we have taken especially now that the qualities of our movies have improved".[9] Source: Wikipedia |
@ OP, where is the source of your article? Because Oyedepo was with Atiku and Obasanjo peacemaking, he has become an enemy to be libel against. Nigerians are wiser than this. If you don't want thunder to strike you avoid writing fiction against a man of God |
The President has just ban 50 high profile Nigerians from travelling. Source: Premium times. Detail later |
Medicine after death. That's why we are voting him out. Buhari is not decisive. He takes decision when it is already late. It is over a month, he is still waiting for him to resign. |
Obasanjo 81 years old Tinubu 66 years old Can Tinubu be as relevant as Obasanjo is today in 15 years time from now? |
WarriAproko:Don't say what you don't know. Was he the only former president? You say Tinubu has been in politics for over 30 years, where was he when Obasanjo was the head of state of Nigeria. Fact is, Obasanjo is like a father to Tinubu....they are not on same pedestal. Can't compare Pele to Ronaldino |
WarriAproko:That means you didn't comprehend the question. Who is more powerful and influential? Tinubu's greatest desire is to be a president. OBJ was a head of state and a two-term president, he also served as chairman of ALL PAST WORLD PRESIDENTS.... He has influence in African Union and ECOWAS. During Boko Haram early beginning, he alone visited the relative of the leader of BH. OBJ is has influence across vertically and horizontally. Outside politics, Tinubu has no influence. Nationally and Internationally, OBJ supercede Tinubu. Let Tinubu dare criticise Buhari they way OBJ does, and see what will happen to him. I am not a fan or follower of the two men sha |
Tinubu is a boy where Obasanjo is. Even Tinubu will not be proud to compare himself with Obasanjo. Baba knows how to lead and control the whites. In fact, he was but I can't say if he is still the Chairman of all past president in the whole world. Tinubu is best a senator and former Governor. Tinubu is a player but Obasanjo is an influencer. Obasanjo is down to earth, a choleric leader and command respects of other leaders. Obasanjo influence leaders Tinubu influence followers |
Funny government. I could not finish reading the rubbish list. If Akinwumi Adesina was to list his achievement like this during the time of Jonathan, i t would be much better than this. See what they call achievement. We now sell gari We sell sugar, we import kulikuli...what rubbish. |
Silva79:You must be a liar from the pit of hell. I could have believed you if I was not there. Layode could be faulted for trying to contest after 3 terms but the fact remained that he won the election. |
oladipuposadeeq:thank you |
Mizwisdom:thanks for your contribution |
oladipuposadeeq:Thanks |
APC is a very corrupt party. Layode won Badagry but they replaced him with Yahaya What moral values can the youths really learn from this administration. Corruption personified |
Atiku should pick his vice from SE. Seriously Igbos have been marginalised for long, just that they lack diplomacy. Superiority complex seems to be the reason why they are being marginalised. However, We need inclusive govt. Be sure that southwest votes is always divided any time, any day. Southwestern people are free thinkers except those in politics. The campaign DG should be from SW |
polimaf:Yes I do. Do you mean like a Business Centre or what? Thanks |
Really |
Please, kindly advise me on what business I can venture into with N300,000. I've searched for various jobs but age limit has been a huge barrier most times. Now is time to take the bull by its horn. Please your suggestion is welcome but I have zeroed out online business. I live in Lekki - Lagos, I don't mind setting up my business in a different environment. Please Moderators help me! |
See finishing! Mortal combat.....fatality. The part that got me laughing was where they say he choose a man that lied against a man of God. Keyamo come and defend your pay o |
Seriously, I would prefer Atiku/Iweala. Though I am not an Eastern. That is the best ticket for PDP. Ngozi is more of a technocrat and can compete with Osinbajo. Others on the list are more of politicians. If Ngozi is given the VP slot and she accepted, many things would change as she now have more power than a coordinating minister or finance minister she once held. It will be ugly to have two politicians as President and VP. The only concern is, will the woman emotion not take better part of her when issues arise? |
