Sometimes I wonder why some people choose to buy adult dogs!!! Don't u think there's a reason the owner wants to sell him? Of course they'll play you the usual tale that the owner wants to relocate blah blah blah, but these buyers don't take out time to go visit the owner and ask him personal questions about the dog, it's temperament, prey drive, behavioral attributes, etc.

If as a buyer if u need immediate security of ur facility, you know you're buying security dogs and so those dogs should be treated as such. You can't bend a dog that has been trained for security else d dogs will see u as an enemy.

For newbies, never indulge urselves in buying adult dogs. If you think you can handle them, what about ur kids, neighbours, friends, etc.

Long story short, it is not advisable to buy adult dogs, buy puppies instead and train them to ur taste. In a little while, they'll grow into adulthood.

That way, we'll avoid stories that touch!!!

BTW OP, my regards to ur uncle, I sincerely hope his "instrument" wasn't badly damaged. If not, Glory be to God.

My uncle and his family have been victims of several robbery attacks in recent times at their home in Irete, Imo State. At night, their house has become the favourite target of robbers for more than five times this year. Thieves won't allow my uncle 'drink water and keep cup' despite the fact that he is not the only rich man living around in that neighbourhood. Most of the neighboring compounds that were often ignored by thieves have very giant and fierce looking dogs.

Thinking that thieves were taking advantage of the fact that he doesn't have dogs, he bought two big bullmastiffs from his friend in Abuja who was relocating to the United States of America. The dogs associated well with my uncle and everyone living in his house.

However, trouble started one monday morning when his house boy was washing his cars. One of the dogs went to the bucket of water that the boy was using and started urinating in it. The boy was afraid of chasing the dog away but alerted my uncle who came out with cane and started flogging the dog.

The dog first shifted a little distance away but came back and jumped on my uncle who wore only shorts. The bullmastiff gave him the biting of his life. It bit him almost everywhere - his hands, legs, stomach and even his privates. He managed to run back into the house as the dog aggressively chased him.

My uncle who spent almost a week in the hospital now hates dogs with passion. He later sold the dogs to dog rearers. He wouldn't have been bitten by the dog if he was the one that trained the dog from the time it was a puppy.

If you need dogs, buy puppies and train them yourselves till they become big. They would tend to be more loyal to you than the ones another person brought up.

We all have heard about the terrorist act that happened in Florida USA at the crowded Pulse Orlando, a gay night club, at about 2 a.m., Sunday 11/06/2016 which killed more that 45 people and injured many. The attack was reportedly carried out by Omar Mateen, a child to Afghan immigrants. Informations about the terrorist were leaked by his former classmates, friends, ex-wife and the police. Here are some facts about him that may surprise you but are actually unsurprising.

1. He was a Muslim
Almost all acts of terrorism are carried out by those who share the same faith with Muslims. Though many Muslims claim that Islam is the religion of peace and is not in support of terror acts, virtually any act of terror you hear anywhere in the world is done by a Muslim. This was why Donald Trump swore to ban all Muslims from entering USA until the problem of Muslim association with terrorism is fixed.

2. He was a security guard
Yes he was a security guard and had a florida firearms licence that allowed him to carry concealed weapons. This reminds me of a case of car theft in one village in Imo State, Nigeria. The mastermind of the crime who was later apprehended was a security guard in a Catholic diocese. The youths stormed his house and recovered different types of weapons and wanted to burn him alive. But he was later rescued by the village and church authorities and later went back to his security work.

What about the fulani herdsmen who carry sophisticated guns about shooting innocent farm owners just for their useless cows to feed on the crops? We ask how do they get the arms? The answer is simple. They got them from security operatives. Even when the farm owners attacked the Fulani herdsmen, the DSS arrested the farmers and did nothing to the armed herdsmen.

3. He was armed with an assault-type rifle and a handgun
Just like the attacks by fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram, most terrorists prefer guns that can shoot continuously so that they can wipe out as many people as possible. Most mass shootings by terrorists in America are carried out with this same type of gun.


4. He was gay
A former classmate of Omar Mateen said that Mateen was gay and that Mateen once asked him out romantically. Three additional witnesses confirmed that they had seen Mateen at the gay nightclub more than once before.

Do you find this surprising? There is nothing to be surprised about it because it is an old story that most anti-gays are latent gays. A theory that homophobia is a result of latent homosexuality was put forth in the late 20th century. According to several studies, majority of homophobic males exhibit latent homosexuality.

In other words, most of those that attack gays are secret homosexuals themselves. A possible explanation is found in various psychoanalytic theories, which have generally explained homophobia as a threat to an individual's own homosexual impulses causing repression, denial, or reaction formation.


5. He has a bipolar disorder
Mateen's ex-wife, Sitora Yusufi, told CNN that he has bipolar disorder which is a type of mental problem. She said "in the beginning he was a normal being that cared about family, loved to have fun, but then a few months after we were married I saw his instability. I saw that he was bipolar and would get mad out of nowhere. That's when I started worrying about my safety." She told reporters that Mateen had beat her and emotionally abused her while they were married from 2009 to 2011.

There are so many mad people out there moving freely among the normal populace. It is high time all governments conduct psychological tests on their citizens to ascertain their mental health. Mentally sick people should not be allowed to move about freely. Many of them are hiding under religion. They should all be locked up and treated by professional psychologists/psychiatrists. The government shouldn't wait until they cause mayhem before arresting them.

In the early hours of Wednesday June 8, 2016, the whole world was shocked by the news of former Super Eagles captain and coach - Stephen Okechukwu Keshi.

Stephen Keshi was one of only two men to win the African Cup of Nations as a player and a coach.

According to family sources, the 54-year old Nigeria football legend, who buried his wife Kate five months ago, had complained of irregular heartbeats and pain in his legs. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in Benin City, capital of Edo State in southern Nigeria, but he died on the way. He died of a suspected heart attack.

After 3 days, we were bombarded with another shocking news of another former Super Eagles Coach, Amodu Shuaibu. The four-time coach of the Super Eagles, who had earlier signed Keshi's condolence register, was reported to have complained of chest pains on the night of June 10 and died in his sleep on June 11, 2016. His body was deposited at the Stella Obasanjo hospital in Benin, where Keshi's corpse was also kept. He was later buried the same day in his home town, Okpella, according to Islamic rites. It was reported that the 58-year old Amodu was hypertensive and had been on medication.

While we continue to mourn the two sports gurus, here are some lessons you should learn from their deaths.

1. Repent now because death can come knocking on your door at any moment

Death does not know if you are young or old. It does not care whether you are rich or poor. It can come without signs or warnings just like the case of Stephen Keshi and Amodu Shuaibu. Amodu after signing Keshi's condolence register never knew he(Amodu) would be the next in line.We should all be ready and prepared for death always. Quit sins and embrace righteousness.

2. Go for regular medical check ups, especially, for blood pressure

Have your blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels checked regularly. High/low blood pressure is a silent killer. You may have it and still feel like you are healthy until it finishes you. It is estimated that 1 out of 5 people with high blood pressure are not aware that they have this major risk factor for stroke and heart attack/cardiac arrest which killed Stephen Keshi and Amodu Shuaibu. High blood pressure can blow your kidney, destroy your heart, damage your eye, brain and every organ in your body. Regular medical check up is necessary to know your health status and control measures to take to maintain good health. You must not wait until you are about to die before you remember hospital.

3. Eat healthily

Increase your intake of lean protein, fiber, fruits and vegetables while reducing or avoiding the consumption of alcohol, processed foods, foods rich in salt, sugar and fats. Coronary arteries that supply the heart with blood can slowly become thicker and harder from a buildup of fat, cholesterol and other substances, called plaque. This slow process is known as atherosclerosis. If the plaque breaks open and a blood clot forms that blocks the blood flow, a heart attack occurs.

4. Make the much achievement you can in life as early as possible

In Stephen Keshi's words, "people don't have to believe in you for you to succeed. You work hard, when you succeed they will believe". Your good works and achievements are what you will be remembered for. The memory of Amodu and Keshi are not that which can be easily erased from the minds of Nigerians. Because of their achievements in sports, their names have become household names in Nigerian football in particular and Africa in general. What would you be remembered for when you die. Don't waste time. Move into action and excel as early as you can because you never can tell when your time would be up.

5. Enjoy life to the fullest everyday you see yourself alive

Life is too short for one to spend it in worry, anger, sadness, jealousy, envy, wickedness, quarrels and many other negative mental attitudes. When awake in the morning, thank God for life and be happy. Enjoy every second of your life. Don't wait for a better day. See every day as a good day no matter the challenges you face. Some people rumoured that Stephen Keshi was worrying too much about his wife's death. Worrying about what you can't change will forever be the biggest waste of your time. Be cheerful always and try to make people around you happy. Party, merry, dance, laugh, play and have good fun. That is your right.

6. Show love to someone now he/she is alive

Many of us become kind and nice to someone only when the person is dead. Condolence visits, messages and gifts are all useless to the dead. When he was alive, suffering and seeking for help, did you help? But when you heard that the person is dead you became kind and nice overnight. Coach Amodu Shuaibu's cousin, Ankari Afegbua, a lawyer said he believed Amodu died out of frustration as he was owed by NFF and the Edo state government. Imagine, some people who criticized Keshi and Amodu or owed them when they were Super Eagle's coach are today calling then football legends and giving gifts to their families. We should change this bad lifestyle and rather help and show love to people when they are alive. Take care of your parents now and not when they die you cry and do big burial ceremony for them. Now is the time to show love to that brother, sister, kid, elder, teacher, poor beggar and so on because they won't need your help again when they die.


We pray that the souls of Stephen Keshi And Amodu Shuaibu rest in peace.

I am not condemning school but it is wrong to think that all knowledge we need can only be obtained from the school. We are all born with great gifts. School can help develop or refine the gifts but will never help you if you don't think for yourself. Most successful people today did not go to University. After getting your PhD, you may end up working for a secondary school certificate holder who applied his innovativeness. Some christians today would have being muslims if their parents were muslims and vice versa. Even if you were a convert, it was by chance because if you did not have the opportunity to repent, you would have remained in your past religion. Moreover, how are you sure that the religion you were converted to is the true religion. Have you seen God before to know the religion that He likes. You can only rely on what some people preached to you or wrote in the Bible, Koran and other religious books. Remember as you are convinced that your religion is the true one, that is also how other people of different faiths are convinced about theirs. Relate this to race, tribe or even sex and sexual orientation, you will see how stupid racism, tribalism, religious intolerance, sex discriminations and so on are. Love and appreciate others and shun all forms of discrimination.

Try to pronounce words correctly.according to the language. Speaking any language with it's correct phonetics makes one look intelligent and smart. If you want to speak English, speak like the English people. If want to speak Yoruba, speak like Yorubas and so on. Avoid mixing languages. You look less intelligent when you speak Igbo as if you are speaking English or make a sentence mixed with both Igbo and English words also known as 'ngirigbo'. When you want to address people in the village or in a traditional setting, it is good you address them in their local language if you can speak it well. Be smart to know the language to use at any point in time and when you speak, pronounce the words correctly with their correct phonetics. Don't just open your mouth and talk bad English, French or any other foreign language. For example, speak like David Cameron, Barack Obama or Queen Elizabeth when you speak English. Speak like Francois Hollande if you must speak French. Talk as Pete Edochie talks in Igbo movies when you speak Igbo and so on and so forth. I repeat, try and speak like the original owners of the language.

4. Laugh Moderately And Responsibly

Just like the way you talk, the way you laugh and what makes you laugh tells much about you. The type of stories that make you laugh also defines you. Let me share an experience. There was an event I attended. That was during my national youth service. We were about 2 youth corp members in attendance with 15 managing directors of different private companies in Lagos. I represented the MD of the company where I did my service because he traveled and permitted me to do so. I believe that the other youth corp was also a representative of a company as well. The MC was very funny. His jokes kept making everyone laugh except my colleague in NYSC. He did not laugh until when the MC made a funny comparison between business and different sizes of women's buttocks. None of the MDs laughed at this point. I just smiled. It was only the youth corp that uncontrollably bursted into laughter. I could see the shame on the guy's face after he finished laughing. Laughing to dirty and indecent jokes in the public can make some people see you as a stupid person. Also, laughing at handicapped persons, people's short comings or sufferings will make you look foolish.

3. Be Outspoken But Moderately And Responsibly

Don't talk too much and don't be dull. It is not everything that you see or hear that you will 'put your mouth'. Gossiping, dirty talks, hate speech, 'over sabi' and so on would make you look stupid before people but they may not tell you. You will think you are being lively or making good points but don't know that you are making fool of yourself. Similarly, being too quiet or dull can make people think that you as unintelligent. Learn to talk moderately and responsibly. Ask questions about things you don't understand. Be truthful always. And when you want to criticize, don't condemn completely if there are positive sides of the object of your criticism. You can first of all start by commending the positive aspects before condemning the bad ones. An example is when you want to talk about the performance of President Buhari. Even if you are his hater, you will sound more intelligent when you say something like "Buhari is trying in the fight against Boko Haram and corruption but I don't like his silence on the Fulani herdsmen attacks. His economic policies are harsh on the masses but I pray that God help him lead this country in the right direction" than when you say "Buhari is a kunu drinking, gworo chewing monkey. The kunu drinking baboon has no intention ruling this country but to unseat Jonathan. The confused goat is good at gallivanting all over the planet while his country is boiling"

2. Dress Smart

The saying that "the way you dress is the way you will be addressed" is nothing but the truth. Get good clothes that fit you well. Avoid oversized clothes. Don't wear suit in a traditional ceremony and vice versa. Let your dressing code match the event you attend. You don't wear clothes meant for clubbing to the church. If you are attending a job interview, the type of job you applied for should determine your attire, Make some research and find the best fashion for every occasion you want to attend. Remember, you can borrow or hire clothes from someone if you don't have.

How you present yourself to the public determines how they rate you. Most of the so called elites and intelligent men in the history of the world were not better than you. Some of them had very low IQs but they were able to make the world see them as intelligent and smart people. It is all about 'packaging'. You can package yourself even better than them. At this juncture, I will present to you 10 ways to make yourself look intelligent and smart before people.

1. Be Clean and Fresh Always

@op here in my area I know of a man that cultivates plantain, tomatoes, ewedu and ugwu on a piece of Landsat is not even up to half a plot so why is it such a big deal
All you need is the know how then yore good to go did I even say that d man I'm talking about also planted pawpaws like ten trees

Thanks for your contributions. I think I would go for tomatoes and plantain in a plot of land and try to acquire more lands in the future if I see good profits.

I want to venture in agribusiness by next year with investment capital of 200k and a plot of land. I am only interested in any of these - tomato, snail or Plantain. Agribusiness experts in the house please advise on which is more lucrative.
