It's not just about selling your lands.
It's more or less about abandoning your culture and ancestral religion.

Some of our tribes carry Christianity for head like gala and abandoned all the spiritual charms for protection, initiation, war e.t.c, you will not believe that it is almost impossible to find a shrine or traditionalist in Berom land.
But you see tribes like Taroks, Eggons, Jukuns? If they are in the church and their masquerades are passing by, the church will become empty all of a sudden. Their own Christianity is on their legs and they easily shake it off any time they want grin
Especially Eggon grin

Fulanis cannot mess with certain Northern Christian tribes .... They only mess with the weaker ones.
The only problem comes because the stronger tribes are not helping the weaker ones cos everyone believes in his/her ethnic group alone.

A unity of all these tribes will put an immediate end to fulani havoc.
They will never try Taroks, Angas, Eggon etc The berom messed up by selling so much of their land

A total lockdown for two weeks is what is needed to break the spread. It's not a matter of sentiment. What we expect the local govts to do is find a way to identify the most vulnerable people and arrange and figure out how to take care of them.

Do they worship pythons? shocked
Communities in the vicinity of the Idemili river, have co-existed with the Eke for centuries. They dont bother us so we dont bother them. In many places they used to feed on rats and other pests that were living off the yams in our barns. They are very peaceful creatures so the tradition of non-interference flourished. Not worship.

PoliticsRe: List Of Igbo Speaking Communities In Igalaland, Kogi State. by nku5: 7:54pm On Mar 12, 2020
Frankdoz8:
A list of Igbo Speaking communities in Igalaland, Kogi State.
The Igala are an ethnic group predominant in the present day Kogi State. They have physical boundaries and cultural afflictions with the Igbo, Idoma, Okun and Edo.
While a whole lot is known about some Igbo-speaking communities such as the Anioma in Delta State, Ndoki, Ikwerre and Etche in Riverstate, the Umuezekaoha people of Benue State etc. outside the five Southeastern states, very little is known as the Igbo-speaking people in Igala land.
As a result of the the heavy settlement of Igbo migrant farmers (19th and 20th centuries) in Igala land, one could find a handful of communities which are Igbo-speaking communities going by their names. Also, If you're acquainted with Igala language, you will find out that there's no 'Z' in their alphabet which is present in Igbo language. This equally justifies that the communities in question belong to the Igbo people.
The following are the Igbo-speaking communities in Igala land.
The EkeAvurugo in Ibaji LGA. They speak Igbo as their first language and Igala as their second language.
2. Ugwuebonyi, Ebokwe, Ozara, Amaeke, Amankpo, Amauwani camp, Amaokwu, Amadiefioha, Amaufulu, etc. all in Igalamela/Odolu lga of Kogi State
3. Nwajala, Umuoye, Ubulie-Umueze in Ibaji lga of Kogi state.
4. The Odolu community in Igalamela/Odolu LGA is said to speak Igala as first language and the Nsukka Igbo dialect as second language.
5. Akpanya in Igalamela/Odolu LGA. They all speak Igbo. Everyone born and bred in the town speak Igbo.
6. Onicha-Igo is a town in Ofu LGA of Kogi state
Olomaboro (south-east kogi) people I have met identified as Igbo.

PoliticsRe: Why Do Ipobs Want $22.7 Billion ''Zoo Money''? by nku5: 8:22am On Mar 09, 2020
Because South East will be part of the repayment. Even a chimpanzee could have figured this out

Rossinnki:
Everyday they come here to spew hatred for Nigeria.

''The zoo''.

Now ''the zoo'' is sharing $22.7 billion and they are demanding their own ''fair share'' of the zoo's money.

The ''zoo money'' does not come from Igboland, or even from the Niger Delta oil, but is an international loan applied for by ''the zoo''.

So why do secessionists want any part of that money, even demanding ''their fair share'' of the ''zoo money''?

What 'fair share' are they talking about?

Are they now ''zoo animals'' like the rest of us?

If I was Buhari I won't spend a single kobo of that $22.7 billion in the South East until they totally renounce Kanu and his secessionist madness.

Until then, let Nnamdi Kanu fund them.

Emergency zoo citizens attracted by money.

This person is one of those Yankee kids that use NL to feel among grin Go and tell Ifeanyi Okowa that he is not Igbo

bkbaybe99:
Ok, another interesting discovery I made recently about the entity called Nigeria; The Niger Delta Region DOES NOT belong to the ibos. I have always  been under the misconception that it belonged to them, thus, their constant complaints of being wronged, marginalized, and cheated. I also, wrongly, assumed that the militants in The Niger-Delta was made up of  the Ibos. This begs the question, if the Region does not belong to the ibos, why are they hell bent on taking it as theirs?!? Articles I've read since show clearly that the Ibos have the Region in their plans when they finally leave Nigeria. Will they be better 'masters' to the Niger-Deltans (if Nigeria splits) than the Northerners presently are to them? I doubt that any group in Nigeria would want to join a new nation where they will be the clear minority.

The argument that happened this past weekend pitted two Niger-Deltans (one was from Port-Harcourt in Bayelse state, i think. I jotted all this down so if I make any mistakes in spelling forgive me) against 3 ibos (family members) and a yoruba friend who came with the ibos who surprisingly (or maybe not) took sides with the Niger-Deltans (I called them 'deltans' and they took umbrage. They explained that they arent Deltans; I dont remember now their explanation.lol). I dont think the ibo guys will be friends with the yoruba  anymore after this weekend's argument.

Anyways, the ibos insisted that the Niger Delta had no choice but to come with them if a Biafran nation was declared tommorrow; the Niger Deltans vehemently opposed this and stated that they would rather die than go form a nation with majority ibos. The ibos retort was , then die they would because come hail or sleet the Niger Delta wasnt going anywhere but with Biafra. Their statements shocked me!!! How can you force a people, that has fears of discrimination, to come with you??!?! To go do what, go back into the slavery they are running from? The Niger Deltans said they would never go with the ibos but would instead set up their own nation, OR, they would join a nation of other minorities of some states in present day Nigeria. According to them, discussions are already underway for these minority states to form their own nation (advantage being that there wont be a clear majority) independent of all the major tribes in Nigeria in the even of the inevitable split that is bound to soon engulf the nation.

The Yoruba guy insisted that the Niger-Delta had the choice to go 'on its own' if they didnt want to be part of Biafra; of course our Ibo buddies didnt find his statement funny in anyway. Furthermore, he informed us that one of the reasons Ojukwu was quick to go to war was because he had every intention of controlling the oil of the indigenous Niger Deltans. I was shocked (although I think I've heard something to this effect before) because if his claims were true, that means Ojukwe clearly had selfish motives for planning a war against its more powerful Nigerian neighbors.

So, Im asking a simple question, if the Niger Delta does not belong to the Ibos why do they have their eyes on it? Why do they invoke it, always , in their cries for a seperate state? Someone please explain!!!!

I’m always amazed at you guys and your claim of braveness. In the history of Nigeria, you are the only group of people that have been massacred in their thousands without retaliation. Tribe of cowards!

In 1945, hundreds of you were murdered in cold blood in Jos and you cowards dare not retaliate in the sad eastern region.

In 1953, thousands of you are murdered in Kano in a more brutally savage way while your ancestors wail in agony in the Eastern region without retaliation.

In 1966, more than 30,000 of your kinsmen paid for the stupidity of Nzeogwu and are murdered in cold blood without retaliation from the Eastern region.

Ojukwu foolishly declared war on Nigeria only for more than a million of his people to be slaughtered for fun while he ran away like a coward disguised like a woman.

In the history of Nigeria, the Igbos are the soft target that the North have always used for target practice. You are chicken livered beings with noisy brain who usually take actions without thinking.

Your father from the 1800 up to now are people of coward that only hide under noise and vituperation to proof strength.

If not for quick pleading of your present Corp of leaders, thousands of you would have been massacred in the North during the quit notice when Kanu foolishly ran his mouth like a coward.

PoliticsRe: When Ogundipe Was Meant To Be President, Only Ojukwu Supported Him by nku5: 3:45pm On Mar 01, 2020
gidgiddy:
On July 29th 1966, there was a military coup, led by Northerners, in which the Military head of state, Major General Aguiyi-Ironsi was killed.

For the next 2 days after the death of Ironsi, Nigeria had no President. The Military Governor of the Eastern Region, Lt Col Ojukwu, called Ironsi's deputy and Chief Of General Staff, Brigadier Babafemi Ogundipe

Ojukwu told Ogundipe that in the absence of Ironsi, he(Ogundipe) should declare him President as the highest ranking officer of the Nigerian Army.

Ojukwu also told Ogundipe that should he(Ogundipe) make a nationwide broadcast declaring himself president, he(Ojukwu) would make a broadcast on the Eastern Nigerian Radio 2 hours later declaring total support and allegiance to the administration of Ogundipe.

Ogundipe told Ojukwu over the phone that he had no troops under his command, to which Ojukwu told him to remember he was in Lagos, which was in the South, and not in the North.

Sadly, Ogundipe did not have the backbone to declare himself President. Two days later, the Northerners chased Ogundipe out of Lagos to London and a much junior Lt Col Gowon declared himself president.
Ogundipe's cowardice was what gave the northern officers the initiative to finally pocket Nigeria. He left Obasanjo and co with nowhere to go but to surrender authority to them. Only Ojukwu had the balls to stand like a man

The man jumped his own fence wearing shorts and a t shirt and sneaked onto the ship to the U.K to escape Gowon and Murtala. We are still dealing with the results of his cowardice
