Family / Re: How Do You Recover Money From A Dead Relative Bank Account? by nlanded: 5:22pm On Jul 03, 2019 |
First go to a probate registry in any high court, request for a letter of inquiry to mandate the bank to give the deceased account balance. This can be given to one or more family members of the deceased on presentation of relevant documents. After getting the account balance, the probate registry would issue you a letter of administration. You bring that letter to the bank and proceed to open an estate account linked to the deceased, you or any other family member would be signatories of the account. All you need to open such an account is 5k for a probate registry search. The funds from the deceased account would be transferred to the estate account and you/family can do whatever you want with the funds. The bank where I work you can get all the funds within 2 weeks at most. PS: Funny how people are talking about next of kin and all, it doesnt matter here when it comes to this, the bank doesnt give a damn who you wrote on your account details as your next of kin, all they respect is the letter of administration brought from a probate registry by any family member. Next of kin on paper is just for formalities. 324 Likes 50 Shares |

Celebrities / Re: "You Need Money, Sense" - Davido Slams Follower Who Said He Needs Throat Surgery by nlanded: 9:25pm On Sep 06, 2018 |
The guy was still kind of praising Davido as regards him making so much money to the point that money has filled his throat, I see no need why some Nigerian celebs are always insulting people with the "you don't have money" line. Typical African mentality! Cant our celebs come up with more creative clapbacks rather than always bringing the point that the fan is broke/poor? And for those who would be saying why can't the fan mind his business, as a celebrity, its only normal for fans to be fixated on the celebs, else such a celeb would not be a celebrity in the first place. 189 Likes 18 Shares |
Religion / Re: What Personal Experience Made You Believe God's Miracles Do Happen? by nlanded: 3:34pm On Aug 26, 2018 |
There are lots of instances but the one that stood out the most was plenty years ago, I think I was around 18 years back then, there was a mango tree over our house fence, I would use a long iron rod to pluck mangoes, one day I had plucked a mango and caught it in the air before it fell, I was eating the mango while still holding the rod in my other hand. The next moment I was hearing loud sparks, I looked up and the iron rod was sparking off fire as it had rested on a live high tension NEPA wire which passed outside our fence between the mango tree, I froze and dropped the iron rod. Till today if you go to my house you'd see the iron rod and part which got burnt as it was on the high tension wire. That was only a miracle from my father in heaven, that perfect father who saved me from being roosted and electrocuted to death, without fulfilling purpose and all. May God be forever praised! 12 Likes 1 Share |

This is not right, it was clearly spelt in the terms that this is a 2 years thing isn't? You only sound fraudulent making noise about permanency when you signed up for a two year thing. Ask yourselves these questions: 1- Did the government budget and plan for you guys after the 2 years? No! So what are you guys making noise for? So where would you guys be paid from when there was no budget funding for you guys? Do you guys even know what a budget is for? 2- Having enjoyed this for 2 years, do you feel the next batch of 300,000 youths don't deserve it as well? 3- Can the federal ministries you mentioned above absorb 200,000 people added to their pay roll? What has even been the number of new intakes into all the federal ministries in the last 10 years that you want the government to wake up one morning and absorb 200,000 more people. 4- If the federal government absorbs 200,000 of you folks, dont you think the next batch of 300,000 have a right as well to be absorbed? Now that would be half a MILLION new intakes to be catered for by the government, is that feasible? Why do you people think this way please? This is not only being ignorant but freaking greedy! 9 Likes |

Alabaintprice: Look here little child, no one ever said they wanted to stop Alexistaiwo the thief from posting here, where/when did anyone say that? Someone was reprimanding him and you started protecting him and sprewing gibberish. That said, people will continue reprimanding the thief of a guy on this thread whether you like it or not! And there is nothing you can do about that! I'm done with you silly thing! 5 Likes |

Alabaintprice: Dude keep up with protecting a thief as you have been doing, your damage control act of sounding contrary is only fictitious! Just read your statements again! You "wish you had stole to be where you are today..." And such words came out from someone who is claiming to be a "legit" business man. spine: The same way you are 'verbally' replying me here is a waste of time and has no sensible value, focus on what you are here to do as well and ignore replying me since 'verbal' reply to what someone does has no value. And mind you, I never have EVER said Alexistaiwo defrauded me here, God has blessed me far enough to be looking for 1k here. So I'm far from being disgruntled, I'm only speaking against thievery! 3 Likes |

Alabaintprice: Then let him reprimand Alexistaiwo as well! Is it that hard for you to do? Do you own Nairaland as well? If you claim they should allow Alexistaiwo brag or do what he wants, allow those reprimanding him to do what they want as well. Jeez! What kind of pathetic double standards is this?! 3 Likes |

Alabaintprice: You talk like a child who is hungry and hence can't think clearly or objectively, do you follow me all about to know if I reprimand corrupt politicians or not? I reprimand any act of thievery whenever I see it, be it a politician or not, while people like you celebrate them. You are the utter coward whom doesn't regard integrity or morals, keep on protecting thieves, after all I'm sure all you have you stole as well, so I'm not surprised. 3 Likes |

Alabaintprice: Who my grammar has helped? A lot! In countries outside Nigeria as well. Take it or leave it, changing the world starts with each person. You said I should be a better person, of course I'm. But you are guarding a thief, was the thief being an better person by stealing what didn't belong to him? Speak for yourself about every human having some form of corruption, if your father taught you no morals, integrity and standards then maybe I need to teach you some. I will never steal money meant for someone else like the person you are protecting did, of course you are a bloody thief as well for the inclination towards his trade. Lastly, I will not 'die' any matter as you put it, a thief deserves all the reprimand he deserves, that's why you see in sane countries they lock up thieves for decades and don't celebrate them. Don't ever think you can come here with all bravado and bully people not to talk about your thief of a friend, he would be reprimanded over and over again, the best you can do is shut up or get some standards into your eroded morals. 7 Likes |

Alabaintprice: If I'm wasting my time typing and reprimanding a thief then you are wasting YOUR LIFE 'okaying' the activities of such a thief. So you feel you are doing something by what you typed right? You said lets be realistic, so being realistic for you is letting a thief not be reprimanded 'too much' right?! What a pity! Alabaintprice: Look here dude, I don't live based on the regulations I 'hope' other people or those in 'authority' are regulating, I frown at a wrong when I see one, so its none of my business if the admins did a thing or not. So you feel Nairaland is safe of thieves and scammers just because there are admins? There are still countless number of thieves here, at least for this Alexistaiwo issue alone I have seen numerous people who have stated how he defrauded them. That said, you and the other dude sprewing gibberish have no right to try to shut up the dude reprimanding Alexistaiwo, if he wants to reprimand a thief a millions times over, he has a right to do it as much as he likes. At least that can be a warning to future thieves. 7 Likes |

A thief doesn't deserve to be rolling with the guys like nothing happened, its called integrity and standards, its clear you have none of those. No one is talking about if 1k is small money or not, or if the 1k he stole from various people would have made them richer, we are attacking the rational behind such actions. If you are saying there are gold digging men, in everyone 100 gold digging men you see, they are a billion gold digging women to outnumber them. 45 Likes 3 Shares |
