A Pastor in Delta State made the news on Tuesday for reportedly selling his church and its congregation to another pastor before relocating abroad.
The details of this unusual transaction remain shrouded in mystery, with many wondering how such a sale could even occur.
Pastor Samuel Ojo, the spiritual leader of the Graceful Abode Church in Delta State, according to local residents, allegedly brokered handed over his entire ministry to Pastor Michael Ade, who had a congregation of his own.
Graceful Abode Church members were purportedly in shock when they learnt of the sudden change in leadership.
The development however raised questions about the ethics and integrity of religious leaders.

INTRODUCTION
Different processes may occur during the storage of animal feed which alter their initial natural proprieties. Lipids, for example, undergo peroxidation. the process during which they deteriorate in a free radical autocatalytic oxidation chain reaction with atmospheric oxygen.
Ethoxyquin (EQ, 6-ethoxy- I, 241ihydro-2. 2. 4-trimethylquinoline) is widely used in animal feed in order to protect it against lipid peroxidation. It cannot be used in any food for human consumption, but it can pass from feed to farmed fish, poultry, and eggs, so human beings can be exposed to this antioxidant.
DIRECTIVE
Lipid autooxidation is a cascade phenomenon ensuring continuous delivery of free radicals, which initiate continuous peroxidation. This results in food rancidity which manifests itself as the change of taste, scent, and color and a decrease A the shelf life of the product.
Antioxidants (Natural or synthetic) He usually used to slow down or stop lipid peroxidation and in consequence to preserve the freshness of the product.
The third compound, EQ. is one of the best-known feed antioxidants for domestic animals and fish. Its unquestionable advantage is its high antioxidant capacity and low production costs. However, some of the authors have suggested that it is responsible for a wide range of health-related problems in dogs as well as in humans e.g. Cancer.
In view of the foregoing, therefore, the use of ethoxyquin as an antioxidant in feed of food-producing animals is banned in animal feed.

Jordanian arrested in Houston made statements supporting killing individuals of particular faiths, judge’s order says
CNN — A Jordanian man arrested last month in Houston on a federal firearm possession charge had spoken of “martyrdom,” a federal judge said in a court order, and was “plotting to attack a Jewish gathering,” a law enforcement source told CNN.
Sohaib Abuayyash, 20, who is in the United States on an expired nonimmigrant visa, made “statements to others that support the killing of individuals of particular religious faiths,” and “referenced an event in Houston for members of a particular religious group,” according to a federal court judge who ordered the man be detained pending trial.
Details, including the specific target, time or place for the gathering, were not immediately clear in the court documents.
The arrest comes at a time when the country is seeing an increase in tense rhetoric and protests around the war between Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian militant group, with the head of the FBI warning that antisemitism in the country is reaching “historic levels.”
The FBI began investigating Abuayyash in August after agents conducting “open-source research” saw video of him firing multiple firearms, including AR-style rifles, on sociial media, according to a redacted probable cause affidavit filed on October 19 in the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Abuayyash applied for asylum in the US after his nonimmigrant visa expired in 2019, according to the affidavit. He’s authorized to work in the US until August 2025, and is not allowed to “possess or use firearms or ammunition,” it states.
The affidavit also says Abuayyash “has been in direct contact with others who share a radical mindset, has been conducting physical training, and has trained with weapons to possibly commit an attack.”
The affidavit provides little detail on the investigation into Abuayyash.
But in an order of detention pending trial document filed on October 24, US Magistrate Judge Christina A. Bryan wrote that Abuayyash “has viewed specific and detailed content posted by radical organizations on the internet including lessons on how to construct bombs or explosive devices; and that Defendant has made statements to others that support the killing of individuals of particular religious faiths.”
“In his communications with another individual about martyrdom, the Defendant referenced an event in Houston for members of a particular religious group,” the judge said.
Abuayyash was “plotting to attack a Jewish gathering,” a law enforcement source told CNN.

Rwanda announced Thursday that it will allow Africans to travel visa-free to the country, becoming the latest nation on the continent to announce such a measure aimed at boosting free movement of people and trade to rival Europe’s Schengen zone.
President Paul Kagame made the announcement in the Rwandan capital, Kigali, where he pitched the potential of Africa as “a unified tourism destination” for a continent that still relies on 60% of its tourists from outside Africa, according to data from the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
“Any African, can get on a plane to Rwanda whenever they wish and they will not pay a thing to enter our country” said Kagame during the 23rd Global Summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council.
“We should not lose sight of our own continental market,” he said. “Africans are the future of global tourism as our middle class continues to grow at a fast pace in the decades to come.”
Once implemented, Rwanda will become the fourth African country to remove travel restrictions for Africans. Other countries that have waived visas to African nationals are Gambia, Benin and Seychelles.
Kenya’s President William Ruto announced Monday plans to allow all Africans to travel to the East African nation visa-free by December 31.
“Visa restrictions amongst ourselves is working against us. When people cannot travel, business people cannot travel, entrepreneurs cannot travel we all become net losers” said Ruto at an international summit in Congo Brazzaville.
The African Union in 2016 launched an African passport with much fanfare, saying it would rival the European Union model in “unleashing the potential of the continent.” However, only diplomats and AU officials have been issued the travel document so far.

Interswitch, the African payments and infrastructure giant, has lost as much as ₦30 billion after a system glitch allowed some merchants to fraudulently file and receive chargebacks, according to court documents seen by TechCabal and three people with direct knowledge of the situation. The company is now attempting to recover the funds through legal action, and it has reported the fraud to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigeria’s anti-money laundering agency. So far, Interswitch has recovered a little over ₦10 billion, according to one person with knowledge of the matter.
Interswitch declined to comment for this story.
The court documents showed that Interswitch filed a motion at the courts on the suspected bank accounts. The payments giant has also requested that 54 banks place restrictions on hundreds of suspected bank accounts until the investigation and recovery process is complete, said a lawyer at a top Nigerian law firm with knowledge of the ongoing case.
The chargeback fraud dates back several years, two sources with knowledge of the situation told TechCabal, but they declined to share a specific timeline. The current incident, however, is directly linked to a few former and current Interswitch employees who likely exploited vulnerabilities in the company’s system, the sources said. At least one person has been arrested in connection with the incident, a source also said.

Yesterday, the President announced that Ministers will sign a Performance Agreement with him at the end of the ongoing Ministerial Retreat.
Many private sector people hailed it as the introduction of KPIs and targets for Ministers, like is done in the private sector. This is not correct. We have been issuing KPIs and targets to Ministers for at least 11 years now.
Let me give you a bit of the history and explain some of the issues.
KPIs and targets in the public sector actually go back to the Jerome Udoji Report of 1974. The Gowon government ignored it and just implemented the part of it that said public sector should be comparable to private sector pay. They just raised salaries and ignored the performance management part.
President Jonathan issued KPIs and targets to Ministers in 2012 and everyone signed. When we reported the results in 2013, virtually every Minister failed to meet theirs. Some said “Haa! We didn’t know what we were signing then ni o” Others blamed it on lack of funds and not being able to hire and fire.
The President didn’t really push it and in 2014, preparations for elections were already underway. Everyone just moved on.
In 2021, President Buhari set out KPIs and targets for each Minister and everybody signed a Performance Agreement. It was monitored and reported on every year, with the President and the VP attending every session and staying throughout for 2 days.
A Central Coordination and Delivery Unit was set up in the Office of the SGF to independently track and report performance.
The best young minds from the public service was recruited into that unit and they received free technical assistance from one of my projects to train the staff and get it going. However, nobody was ever sanctioned for poor performance. In some cases, some Ministers failed or refused to do some things and this was reported every single year.
For instance, the Attorney General/ Minister for Justice had a target to establish Special Anticorruption Courts. It never happened and was reported every year with the President in attendance. Nothing ever happened.
President Tinubu has set out 8 Priority Areas and 8 Priority Targets. He has warned that Ministers who do not perform will be sacked. He has also fully and very publicly empowered his SA on Policy Coordination and Delivery to track performance, and said that any Minister that has a problem with her should come to him. Will things be different this time?
EFCC Arrests 69 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Ile-Ife
Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested sixty-nine, 69, suspected internet fraudsters in Osun State.
They were arrested on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Oduduwa Estate area of Ile-Ife, Osun State following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in fraudulent internet-related activities.

Israeli army confirms that 11 of its soldiers have been killed in northern Gaza. This is the largest number of losses that they’ve had since their ground offensive in Gaza. This brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed since October 7 to more than 320.
The Israeli army said on Wednesday that nine soldiers were killed on Tuesday in northern Gaza when an anti-tank missile hit the armoured personnel carrier they were in. On Tuesday, two soldiers from the Army's Givati Brigade were killed during ground operations in Gaza.
Joy Afekafe, a 14-year-old girl, has been detained for her participation in the killing of Dr. Fumilola Adefolalu, a lecturer from the Department of Biochemistry at the School of Life Sciences of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, which occurred on October 28th.
Private Ori Megedish, an IDF soldier, was rescued during the IDF's operation in Gaza on Sunday night, the IDF and Shin Bet said in a joint statement on Monday.
She was kidnapped by the Hamas terrorists on October 7 and has now been reunited with her family.
A subsequent medical examination administered to Megidish has determined that she is healthy.
The statement noted that the IDF and Shin bet will continue to make every effort to secure the freedom of the remaining hostages.

President Isaac Herzog was quick to express his happiness for Megedish's rescue in a statement on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday night.
"I was moved to see the soldier Ori Megedish return home to her loving family after a daring operation by the IDF and Shin Bet," Herzog wrote. "Our security forces operate around the clock in Gaza, in the north, in Judea and Samaria, and everywhere, on land, in the air, and at sea."
"Last night, our forces freed Private Ori Megedish from Hamas captivity. O)ri was abducted on the dark morning of October 7th," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. Welcome back home, Ori. I commend the Shin Bet and the IDF for this significant and emotional achievement, an achievement that reflects our commitment to bringing all the captives home. In response to the liberation of the IDF soldier, Hamas stated on its Telegram channel that the news was an intentional distraction from the hostage video released by the terror organization earlier on Monday.
"Regarding the allegations by the Zionist terrorist occupation about the release of a female soldier, we affirm that such an announcement aims to divert attention from the video of the captured women that Al-Qassam Brigades broadcast today, which has caused significant shock within the Zionist society," the statement read.
Celebrations erupted around Megedish's house in the southern Israeli city of Kiryat Gat. A crowd gathered around the residence and neighbors and revelers sang songs and set off fireworks.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has brought under control the raging Fire at 54, Docemo Street, within the popular Lagos Market, Lagos Island.
The Fire which was reported at 20:50 hours, Saturday involved a trio of three storey buildings but the timely intervention of coordinated tactical firefighting limits it to only the topmost floors. While the house 54 where the Fire erupted from was severely affected, houses 56 and 58 it spread to were however sparsely involved.
Meanwhile, the cause of the Fire is yet unknown as investigation will reveal thereafter while it affected variety of goods that include key lock/cylinder, decoration fittings, Christmas items among others which cost cannot be immediately ascertain.
There is no record of injury nor death as operations enter dampening down.

Hamas fires rockets to Tel Aviv, Beersheba in response to ‘massacres’ against Gaza civilians
The Palestinian group Hamas said Tuesday it had fired rocket barrages at Tel Aviv and Beersheba in central and southern Israel in response to “massacres” against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
In separate statements, the group’s armed wing Qassam Brigades said the rocket fire was “in response to the Israeli massacres against Palestinians” in Gaza.
The Israeli army, meanwhile, said rocket sirens sounded across cities in central and southern Israel, without providing further details.
The conflict in Gaza, which has been under Israeli bombardment and a blockade since Oct. 7, began when Hamas initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged surprise attack that included a barrage of rocket launches and infiltrations into Israel by land, sea, and air.
It said the incursion was in retaliation for the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and growing violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians.
The Israeli military then launched Operation Swords of Iron against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
Nearly 7,200 people have been killed in the conflict, including at least 5,791 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis.

Hamas frees two Israeli women, US cautions on Gaza invasion
Hamas on Monday (23 October) said it had freed two Israeli women who were among the more than 200 hostages taken during its 7 October rampage in southern Israel while sources said the US had advised Israel to hold off on a ground assault in the Gaza Strip.
“We decided to release them for humanitarian and poor health grounds,” Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the armed wing of the Palestinian Hamas militant group, said on Telegram.
The Israeli prime minister’s office issued a statement confirming that the women, whom it named as Nurit Cooper, 79, and Yocheved Lifshitz, 85, were handed over to the Israeli military and would be taken to a medical facility.
The two were kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz, near the Gaza border, along with their husbands, who were still held by Hamas, it added. Hamas freed them after releasing an American woman and her daughter on Friday.
All four were seized in the 7 October cross-border assault in which the Islamist Hamas killed 1,400 people.
In public, the United States has stressed Israel’s right to defend itself but two sources familiar with the matter said the White House, Pentagon and State Department have stepped up private appeals for caution in conversations with the Israelis.
A US priority is to gain time for negotiations to free other hostages, especially after Friday’s unexpected release of Americans Judith and Natalie Raanan on Friday, said the sources, who spoke before the hostage releases were announced on Monday.
Asked about the possibility of a ceasefire, US President Joe Biden said: “”We should have those hostages released and then we can talk.”
