Quintopia: That blue edifice actually shows the economic idiocy of south easterners.
+ their individualistic mumurity.
That structure should have been built in the business district of his capital city, not in his damn village. Oga stick to the topic of discussion, I posted this to dispel the notion that there is no high rise building (sky scrapper) in the entire South east. The issues is that some of you don't venture out of your region because you lack entrepreneurship zeal. Most states in the South east spreads developments evenly across its local areas, so we can build commercial structures anywhere in the state. |

babaolofin: It is not the issue of Alaafin coming out untainted but the IBO boy that was used who rejected Yoruba Lawyers. It was never reported that Alaafin son was the carrier as the boy accepted responsibility for the luggage. The first report was that Alaafin owns the lugage. The FG and the government press used it as propaganda against Alaafin. The newspapers reported it all through the weeks it lasted. FM in those days were for music, sport and social events. It is Raypower and OGBC2 that were very popular in those days and they don't deal much on politics.
We have the Intelligence report on it . The boy (drug carrier) created drama on that case for weeks and it was a major News by government media led by Minister of Information whose tribal traditional rulers and high chiefs paid Solidarity visit to Abacha weekly. You are an "Agbaya", you keep on hammering on this imaginary Igbo boy on Alafin's entourage, are you not ashamed of yourself and the useless aim that you wish to achieve with this your yeye narrations. Alafin of Oyo was detained in 1998 at the Gatwick airport alongside his son, and daughter overnight with about 4 hand luggages that contained hidden drugs, and it was an Igbo boy that packed all the hand luggages for them and handed them over, Igbos do serve as trusted royal aides to the Almighty Alafin of Oyo. You can now agree with me that your education is useless. |

Lagos state can do better than this, I wonder why a state that is highly indebted will allow Street urchins to be collecting due revenues on it's behalf. The transport sector in Lagos is very lucrative if only the government will put there acts in order. A case study is Uber and Bolt, you can see how organised and profitable that model is to both the fleet owners and the drivers and I am among the people benefiting as a fleet owner. Lagos is the only mega city in whole world where someone will be clutching white board marker, wearing training sneakers and will be running after commercial buses shouting "Owo mi da" . Those ugly images at various bus stops in Lagos portrays us in a very bad light to the outside world, you can never see such things in Accra or Cotonou.
Lagos can generate billions of naira from the transport sector if properly organised, and the money can be used to put most of it's roads in top shape without need for borrowing. |

The way some of my fellow compatriots reason things is very absurd. Because the lady in question is not your sister or from your tribe, that is the reason some of you are saying trash about her, some even thought that she is Igbo (she is actually from Jos) and so deserved the punishment, yet we want and pray for a prosperous and united Nigeria.
Question is, can UAE officials detain an American, a Briton, or a German with a valid UAE visa for over 12 hours at the airport without explaining to him/her what the issue was? And her crime is posting her ordeal on the Internet, an American will even go haywire and damage a thing or two, and those wicked Arabs will still apologise to him/her, because they know that his/her embassy will get to root of the issue involved.
Once you have a valid visa and you are not a security threat, any issue that arised at the point of entry is a delicate one and has to be treated with utmost care and respect considering the amount of time and resources that went into planning for the trip. |

I witnessed it myself. Wheel barrows and hawkers were being taxed. But as usual you people must single yourselves out. Abeg abeg The problem with your likes is that you don't venture out of your comfort zones, nobody is against taxation, but the crude method that is being applied in Lagos and some other south western states is barbaric. If you have travelled to so many states in the North or Southern Nigeria, You can only see able bodied youths carrying 1 meter length plastic tube or wooden pole at every bad spot on a Federal road in the South West. Lagos is on a very alarming situation of Agbero invasion, every corner and junctions are now filled with youths brandishing plastic tubes extorting road users. Taxation should be refined and modernised so as to avoid multiple and crude method of collection, what is happening in Lagos now is organised criminality. |

Lagos - Ibadan alone can generate 100s of Billions anually if properly tolled, same as second Niger Bridge and Kaduna- Abuja, Lokoja - Abuja roads
Nigerian Railway Corporation should start moving Cargos with the old narrow gauge rail instead of giving the revenue to trailer and truck owners alone
. I surely agree with you on this, but Buhari's government is not creative to look into stuffs like this, they only care about oil and borrowing. |

So English is so difficult for these people to understand. Obi said that the brewery employs 60% of Anambra people, that is to say 60% of it's workforce are indigenous. This is very straightforward English statement.
If what he said is that 60% of the population of Anambra people works for the Brewery, that is where stats will not add up. |

So sure bro, I once owned about 4 Keke Maruwa, 2 do ply Dubar junction to Roundabout in Ago Palace way Okota and the other 2 from Cele to Jakande gate in Isolo, I sold them all to save my self from stress. Those poor Keke riders are been heavily exploited on daily basis, they spent nothing less than 4k daily on touts, most times they go back home with as low as 2k as their daily income. Lagos should emulate Anambra and ban touting in parks and garages and collect the dues electronically, the way you pay for LASDRI card or road worthiness and other vehicles docs. Touts are organised criminals and shouldn't be part of any state revenue generating agencies. |

PlayerMeji: If it were Lagos now, some butchers would have brought out their knives to butcher Asiwaju but truth is Tax is the easiest route for government to generate revenue...
Though, the amount charged by Anambra state on Keke Napep is too ridiculous... Maybe another way to weed them and reduce their numbers but it would have implications on the masses who will be made to pay the taxes indirectly! Bro, in Lagos, this same Keke operators pay up to 3000 naira daily to different touts, ask the keke riders. Nobody is against payment of taxes and dues, but the method should be orderly and transparent. Anambra is trying to organise it's park management so that the state will benefit from the massive revenue from that sector. Most of these protesting Keke riders do pay up to 1000 naira daily when touts do operate in Anambra parks, now that touting is banned in Anambra the government slashed the amount to around 500 naira daily. All they need is some sensitization and they will understand that touting in parks is gone for good in Anambra and that the government plan is more favourable to them and the society. |

Imagine the foolishness in thinking Buhari was supported by the West to spite Ndigbo. How? Does any part of Nigeria owe Ndigbo any political favours? Even the SS from which Jonathan is doesn't think this way about the election, but you Igbos have chosen to be so childish about a contest that was won and lost fairly and squarely.
Y'all keep missing the mark. When you lose in politics, you don't go around hating your opponents and throwing childish tantrums. You go back to the drawling board, review your strategy and make necessary adjustments to do better next time. That's how politics works. It is a phucking contest out of which there are bound to be winners and losers, and there's NO GUARANTEE you'd be the winner!
I imagine if the SS were like you people, Nigeria would have been reduced to ashes in the wake of that election because you can't stand defeat. You keep applauding Jonathan as a "hero of democracy", why then can't you people emulate him? I can't count the number of times he's had tea with the very person who defeated him, but all you people do is wake up and wish the man drops dead, so much so you even celebrated his son's accident. Too many damn blunders on you people's side.

That means that all IPOB , and Ooduaists and even some CAN and Muric, and APC and Buhari supporters must be banned as well too.
Freedom of speech...so that I know and can counter the bigots. Ban them...they go underground. Danger. Bro, there is a thin line between freedom of speech and incitement. Every one of us have the right to express himself/herself, but incitement deserves a ban or even a fine. In Reno's case, his aim is to incite the Northerners against Peter Obi and his supporters, he even went as far as translating what he wrote in English to Hausa just to make sure that the message is widely received. |
Politics › Re: Sowore Condemns Petition Against Reno Omokri by Nnannapat(m): 2:41pm On Jul 08, 2022 |
Subsidywise20: Good comment.
It is funny that many of the Obidient fans who were crying against Liar Moh'd for banning twitter are in essence using Liar Moh'd' s methods to ban someone they do not like because he is saying things they hate....
Obi and Buhari and Tinubu and even Atiku geng are all alike.
Obi supporters are the main reason why some of us won't vote for him. If they can restrict Reno's freedom of speech, then they can do it to anyone.
Anyone signing this petition to ban Reno should remember that if you criticised Buhari for banning twitter...yer a hypocrite. Just go to change.org and read the reason why that call for the ban was initiated. Reno went too far, what he wrote in English and Hausa was an incitement. |

Studies of PCBs in humans have found increased rates of melanomas, liver cancer, gall bladder cancer, biliary tract cancer, gastrointestinal tract cancer, and brain cancer, and may be linked to breast cancer. If you are good in frying stuffs for food, you will notice that used vegetable oil doesn't taste really good when reused, the taste alone will deter you from doing that next time, and besides Transformer oil has this distinctive smell, so there is no way you cannot notice that awful smell and taste in any food prepared with it. |

Lies from the pit of hell, someone will just sit in one archaic office somewhere and be fabricating nonsense.
1, A drum (200L) of used transformer oil is over 300k, that is about 1500 naira per litre, how much is a litre of unbranded vegetable oil? Then someone will now use an oil that is higher in value to spoil his/her oil that is cheaper. Does that make any sense?
2,Virgin Transformer oil tastes very awful, so how can one now fry akara with the used one and the Akara will still taste good, if one even try to fry akara with an over used vegetable oil, the taste will be so bad that you might throw the Akara away not to talk of using transformer oil. |
