You clearly don't understand ECOWAS and what's it's suppose to do. ECOWAS does not mean a Nigerian can pick up his bag, and move to another country and enjoy the same rights as citizens.

Besides this law is only meant to restrict the retail market which is usually reserved for poorer Ghanaians. There are several areas of the Ghanaian economy (banking, IT, law, media, catering, real estate etc) that Nigerians can still operate in Ghana.

What then is the free movement of people, goods and services?

If I find products that are cheaper in Burkina Faso,buy them then take them to Ghana after paying custom duties then I must give them to Ghanaians to sell for me or I have to cough out 1 million USD. How many wholesalers in Ghana can boast of 1 million USD?

Why is it that it is only Ghana that requires this 1 million USD capital to operate? Most Francophone countries in the sub-region only requires that you get your trade permit, resident permit and then pay your taxes as at when due then you are good to go. In Nigeria there is even nothing like trade permit for foreigners, just register your business, pay for an outlet then boom, a foreigner can practically do any business in Nigeria if he/she has the means.
We copied the European Union to form ECOWAS, but an Eastern European from Bulgaria or Romania can comfortably open a tea shop in Paris without much sweating, while I need a million dollars to open one in Ghana. Are we not deceiving ourselves here?

The jealousy is quite simple.
Nigerians works harder than any other African Nationals in any country they found themselves.
Nigeria has the highest number of educated people in Africa.
Nigerians are great achievers in all spheres of human endavours, both home and abroad.
Diasporan Nigerians remit back close to 27 billion USD annually,that is more than half of South African foreign reserves.
Nigeria doesn't need to be in BRICS, our young and energetic people sets the rule in Africa and some other developed economies. We have the worst set of political leaders in the whole world and still do better for ourselves, imagine when we take back our country from those corrupt parasites.
When you talk about drugs and fraud, there are more Indians, Pakistanis, Mexicans, South East Asians that are committing these crimes than Nigerians, they are just more organized and operate like close knitted cartels and they are all over South Africa.Nigerians are just picking drug crumbs in South Africa.

I don't know why many people here are saying that Nigerians in Ghana should leave the country or pay the outrageously insane 1 million USD.

And I ask , what then is the need for ECOWAS treaties? Ghana has been enjoying unfettered access to the Nigerian market due to ECOWAS free trade agreements, companies like Unilever and Nestle produces many products they sell in Nigeria in their Tema factories, you might not notice this until you carefully read the products labels. There are many Ghanaians in Nigeria doing their legitimate business and nobody disturbs them, I know of one who owns a bakery here in Lagos and he is doing very well, I do buy meatpies and bread from there. So imagine if he was to pay 1 million USD before he can operate.

ECOWAS free trade agreements which I believe that Ghana is a signatory to, provides coverage for the free movement of goods, people and services across the sub-region. If Nigeria, Ivory coast, Senegal, Mali, Guninea Conakry should emulate Ghana and impose 1million USD trade license fee on the citizens of other sister nations of ECOWAS then the dreams and aspirations of establishing ECOWAS has been defeated.

Oshiomhole was legally suspended by the authorities of his ward and state executives in Edo, so he is no more an APC member according to their party's constitution.
