dayokanu: You're right. No it won't. But having a large forehead did not preclude Tyra Banks from being called pretty. |

dayokanu: My opinion? I think that people would give her a pass if she was 5-6 shades lighter. She is far from ugly to me. 2 Likes |

@OP I think you are pretty (I mean that objectively). Don't let any asshole attempt to put you down and don't read negativity into their snide remarks. If people say you look yoruba/hausa think of it as a good thing. Looking like an African should NOT be an insult but a compliment. Unfortunately Nairaland is a haven for psychotic elements who have personal agendas in every post made. Not the best place to make an introduction. Are you in college? African student's orgs are a good place to start if you want to interact with people (those tend to have Nigerian members). If you could, take your picture down to preserve privacy as you cannot tell who/what could use it for selfish reasons/scams. As entertaining as this site is it is a cesspit. Take care. 2 Likes |

It's interesting how the darker/fuller facial featured girls are called out for being ugly. On the flip side, the brown/light/thinner featured looking girls are judged the prettiest. Just observing and keeping it moving. |

So stupid - all of this! Are you happy that you spend your life online, arguing about stupid trivial shit such as who has "better" culture, who is more "handsome" or "ugly", who's daddy has the bigger gun? Primary 6 much? After the round is won by whoever, then what next? Will it pay your bills? Give you more friends? Increase your chop money? Well. Off to bed. No one sent me to open and respond to this thread anyway. 2 Likes |

Haba...come on calm down people. It is not that serious. Why care about who looks better? Sometimes stuff like this is played out and borderline grade school-ish. |

What topics like this do is maybe reveal latent (mutual) attraction between some Igbo men and Yoruba women. Life is too short to duel in stupid back and forth shots (as evidenced by all the unfortunate fatal incidents lately). All men and women should go for what they want and not repress their true feelings on the basis of tribe. (Hehe). |

Thank you - another thing, just to clear the air. Would u mind tracing my IP address as well as Ekwy_Nwa, and, just to clear the air, confirm that we are not the same people? Also state that fact here for all to see (of course, don't post my IP address or any person's). I know that this shouldn't even matter in the scheme of things, but this is something that I know to be false, and I cannot deal with that following me around. |

Moderators, I just noticed that another thread was opened to further attack my person (please see the politics page). In the span of minutes I've been further insulted and called all sorts of names. I will not even bother to personally address whoever had the time to think up sick and twisted things about me, but the ball is in your court to ban the perpetrators and delete those posts. Maybe you will or maybe you won't. |

Hi, On the racism/tribalism section, in the thread titled "Yoruba Group Threatens Revenge Against Boko Haram," I was falsely accused of having multiple IDs and called names (B!tch, etc). I have never been the subject of such a low brow discussion and been attacked in this manner. While this is only a forum we all expect a level of decency among members and mutual respect, with banning of members acting on the contrary. I have been here long enough to know now that the quality of posts in Nairaland has fast diminished, but I had never thought that my name will been dragged down. Maybe something will be done about that thread, or maybe not. But I wanted to get this off my chest. I am typing from my phone and cannot provide links. 1 Like |
