Keep living in denial - I can see through you. A subtle tribalist like you is more dangerous, than an open one. I know who you are now.

See through me however you want, brother. At least I called you out.
Politics / Re: World Bank Presidency: Who Takes The Day Okonjo Or Kim? by Nnenna1(f): 9:11pm On Apr 16, 2012
@Namfav and Shymmex,

As I said, based on both of you's posting history there is BIG lack of objectivity as far as anything Igbo is concerned and I stand by it. That I am not too concerned about the world bank presidency and who wins it does not mean that I don't know when people use covert means to thrash Igbos using individuals as bait. Don't use Black power or pan-africanism here when you are from being examples yourselves.

I see that kobojunkie still has a thing for quoting me :/

shymmex: Why must everything be about tribe with you guys?

**pukes on the thread and walks away**

I am actually indifferent to Iweala winning this position - however your posting history as well as Namfav's shows that your conclusions are not as objective as you all proclaim.

80-90% of Namfav's posts for instance, are dedicated to attacking Igbos at every turn. Will it be unreasonable to conclude that he is applying tribal bias here? Look -he implicitly admitted it here in this post:

you know as well as i do, if she wins
some people (you know them) will come here and profess their superiority, the same people saying that anyone not supporting her for being who she is is a tribalist
Politics / Re: World Bank Presidency: Who Takes The Day Okonjo Or Kim? by Nnenna1(f): 2:37pm On Apr 16, 2012
LMAO from all indications it seems that many consider Igbos the arch-enemies of Hausa-Fulanis or something?

Nigeria....e go better sha.
Politics / Re: World Bank Presidency: Who Takes The Day Okonjo Or Kim? by Nnenna1(f): 2:33pm On Apr 16, 2012
namfav: i have enough peace and rest of mind, people have to stop supporting someone just because they share ehtnicity, ones she wins she wont prioritise ibos or indeed nigeria, it is the world bank, no doubt noi is qualified but she wont get the job because america chooses can didate

You should follow your own advice too, in reverse. People should stop launching attacks against others because of tribe.

So you know she is more qualified, eh?

it dosen't always have to be about tribe, does it?

Unfortunately in here, It IS always about tribe.
Politics / Re: World Bank Presidency: Who Takes The Day Okonjo Or Kim? by Nnenna1(f): 2:29pm On Apr 16, 2012
namfav: that is the issue, if iweala wins nigeria problems will not be solved, i am not a fan of the world bank anyway, so whatever, i just saying as it is, iweala has no chance

I hope you find peace and rest of mind soon. You need it.
Politics / Re: World Bank Presidency: Who Takes The Day Okonjo Or Kim? by Nnenna1(f): 2:27pm On Apr 16, 2012
^^^For him, the satisfaction of an Igbo not winning.

It's unfortunate how base our fellow Nigerians have sunk.

On a more serious note - I think that the pursuit of infrastructural development in the SE will have to be pursued by private means.

It's obvious that the Federal gov't is not all that interested in improving the SE in this regard. I wonder why we haven't put together resources for this - We boast a high number of high earning individuals so pooling funds wouldn't be that much of a hassle if people are organized.

bakila:

You are living in Nigeria, some folks writing tribal rubbish are not. Like someone said the bigots have reported for duty. Our collective bigotry has left those at the helm of affiars with plenty options to amass wealth and leave us messed up. If all the sectional Army and civilians have directed their concern at those in power we would have been less frustrated.
But alas Onlytruth Eze gburugburu of Niaraland is a Biafran.

I am actually not in Nigeria at the moment.

About your reference to Biafra - let's just agree to disagree on what the event lasting 1967-1970 means. I have a few biases as an Igbo (as most Igbos do), and I see that you clearly have yours as a Hausa-Fulani (as most Hausa-Fulanis do). There are some issues that we will never agree on based on this (it seems).

However at the end it's all politics and yes, we are all Nigerians trying to get by. It is sad that we play dirty by calling each other names and escalating things to an ugly level. If this site runs on enabling this pettiness, then maybe we could be proactive in getting out, breathing, meeting people, and stopping the tendency to stereotype everything we experience.

Everyone, chill out!

^^^I'm slowly coming to find that if you respond to every negative comment about your ethnic group your chances of dying from a heart attack will increase exponentially.

Easier said than done (even for me too) but sometimes you have to learn to take things in stride and ignore the insults. Someone will always have something to talk about. Just be mindful that it is only nigerian politics (which isn't even that much to write home about) and reflects nothing on you as an individual.

Take care.

Politics / Former World Bank President Admitting Western Control Of The World by Nnenna1(f): 2:54am On Apr 08, 2012
This video goes to show that the design of Western power is deliberate.

The bit about Africa and information technology is VERY telling. hmmm...

Education / Re: Survey: Nigerians Most Educated In The U.S! by Nnenna1(f): 6:19pm On Apr 06, 2012
@Ekt Bear, For what it's worth neither of my parents went to university. My Dad had very little formal education actually - But he is one of the most literate, smartest and well traveled Nigerians I know.

Sheer hard work (via entrepreneurship, business etc), and drive to succeed through honest means count. Maybe that's why I'm not as excited about this educational attainment business with the Nigerian immigrant community.

Virtually all of my family are in Nigeria though - I'm currently in grad school here but I have plans to relocate. But Much of the bad news I read here is very discouraging.

ekt_bear:

Well, not everyone's ambition in life is to save Nigeria. Most people, they are interested in the benefit of their own self and family, not abstract entities/concepts like Nigeria.

So it is pretty damn useful (for both them and the US)...just not necessarily useful to Nigeria.

Oh well....
Education / Re: Survey: Nigerians Most Educated In The U.S! by Nnenna1(f): 4:15pm On Apr 06, 2012
Would be nice if they use some of that education to bring Nigeria out of its mess.

Else it's pretty much useless as far as I'm concerned. Getting an "education" is not as hard as people are making it out to be.

Abagworo: One other thing I'm surprised about statistics that no one has ever mentioned is that Igbos consist over 20% of Camerounian population.

Are you sure about this?
