It is so disappointing that it takes so long to put African inferiority complex or cultural domestication by foriegners in the proper place.

The second step is wondering if Africans would put it into action.

Sick Leaders Sell Youths Heritage Just To Die In Luxury


If you want to know the future of a country, look at youth’s life today. Pampered Leaders on scholarships and welfare throughout their life, are paying back with thorns and daggers at the back of our youths while celebrating themselves and their children. They are obsessedwith funerals when they die at some prestigious hospital abroad, boldly displayed on their obituary. They are Pharaoh that had Hummer SUV buried with them or looted cash buried in their graves.

The first million an African makes is not for local or productive endeavors, but for luxury abroad they must loot more tosustain. In the days when Volks was the first car of those just starting to make it, success were made gradually in steps.Looking up to looters, Mercedes Benz is the first choice. Unfortunately, the first African assembly plant was not for tractors and machine needed in factories. Indeed, we still imported luxury cars to kill our local automobile assembly plants.

As much as we must praise Dangote for building the largest oil refinery because it will meet local demands and export to other African countries, there is this eerie feeling that it should have been built fifty years ago. Better late than never, we must say. But will an oil refinery meet future demands when most world automobiles makers have switched to electric engines. We must learn, as Ajaokuta Steel lie fallow while the world is competing on steel glut.

It is really surprising that University of Lagos seems to be embarking on another refinery in addition to that of Dangote in Lagos. It makes no sense to establish another old arcade industry when the future is on solar and electric automobile. This writer has written in the past begging for economic projects from our universities when Nigeria bypassed agricultural scientists from our universities to import Zimbabwe white farmers with all incentive to Kwara.

Africa must look into future projects jointlysince only 15% of our trade is within so 85% abroad;ordered to grow what we do not consume. Yet, some states declare Free Trade; for who? Saudi Arabia and Softbank solar project , is to be established at expected cost of $200 billion through 2030, will have the capacity to produce up to 200 gigawatts. It will support the domestic solar equipment manufacturing industry in their kingdom.The project will create about 200,000 jobs in Saudi Arabia and increase GDP by $12 billion, while it will save Saudi Arabia about $40 billion.

Cobalt scramble in Congo is being monopolized by China, car companies like Tesla are buying it into the future to secure production of electric cars. Apple, Samsung as others, computer makers and warmongers negotiate to get their shares. Just as important is the alarm to control Niger uranium so that it does not fall into wrong hands as weapon of mass destruction. While Congo and Niger the raw producers, look on as just bystanders! Where are our intellectuals?

It showcased our leaders’ role sucking blood out of Africa for crumbs, bargaining youth’s future and heritageaway. It is not only oil deals, the same is true for gold, diamond, uranium and now cobalt in Democratic Republic of Congo. If you waged war in yours or another African country and smuggled raw diamond out like Charles Taylor, you are just as quality. This is the modern day scramble for Africa with our leaders as accomplice selling us for pittance.

We thought once the colonialists left, that would be the end of extractive economy . We were wrong, black faces just replaced their masters and continue to sell irreplaceable resources to foreigners by taking a big cut at the top while national companies pocket theirs and of course leaving the country and its youths with crumbs. Wickedly, they still flare, waste our gas and buy elsewhere for import. One case out of many is a good look at Shell, Eni, OPl245 and Ette .

In Nigeria today, no one can leave allocation, stipend or grant under the watchful eye of the law without individual schemer, group or invited robbers on how to conspire and steal everything! It has come to the point where most of the people in charge are wondering who is going to go first. The justification varies from stealing is not corruption to various animals swallowing our cashistics. If it was not for dying women and children, one would consider it a deadly joke.

Mind you, it is not that the youths are without faults, especially in term of their foreign tastes at the expense of local goods and services. Agricultural products from which we are blessed, are neglected because of the hard work involved. The world has moved beyond hoe and cutlasses into mechanized farming. There is no reason we could not develop those equipment locally; as tryctors and Innoson trucks with mostly local partsas forex earners instead of drainer.

Agricultural work can be professionalized with locally invented machines like those that replaced the old dangerous and back breaking work in their factories. Our youths must be trained and exposed because when they run out of the country, these are the back breaking jobs available to them most of the time. We pay through our nose to bring plumbers, iron workers and other skilled workers to our countries only for them to direct local workers.

If you think that since we had local production, the prices would be within reach or pockets of the poor farmers to buy, you would be wrong. Producers of local goods and services want about the same price as imported products negating the benefit for our local entrepreneurs that pass the cost to retailers. The rational is, if they could buy imported products for the same price as local, they might as well pay for foreign equipment. Yet ground workers earn low wage.

Nevertheless, while advocating for reduced profits on local equipment, agriculture must be professionalized with tryctors, trucks, local fertilizer and refrigerated storage on wheels. It will make the backbreaking labor easier. The role of the governments would be to grant low cost loans specifically toward local affordable tryctors local farmers could handle. Government must also go back to cooperative societies bringing lone farmers together in joint agribusiness.

Actually Yoruba was already in use before Amed Baba put it into writing complaining he should not be captured as a slave because he was a Muslim. Only YORUBA that stuck to their religion and others should be captured for being nonbelievers of Muslim God.

But Yoruba named most of the ethnic groups in Nigeria. Fulani is Yoruba nomenclature, their name varies from Fulbe to others depending on their location.

Tapa is also Yoruba word just as many others looking for greener pastures in Yoruba name.

Ibo is Yoruba word and many Easterners prefer it to Igbo. Indeed, Igbo corrected Yoruba many times that it is IGBO not IBO. Nevertheless Yoruba have other names Igbo did not like. No need to mention them.

Hausa is also a Yoruba word for a group of people Yoruba see as the same even when they refer to themselves as Magawazu, Burno, Gambari etc.

So Yoruba say- Igbonle ni Mula, Hausa ni Hausa nje.

The reason is obvious. Most Nigerians and Africans coming to Nigeria gravitate to the WEST up to the present day.

So Yoruba have names for those coming from Togo, Ghana all the way to Liberia.

Note, Lagosians would name others anything, even their own Yoruba. But they call many others the same name their Yoruba kin call them. So do not take Lagosians seriously. They are rascals that believe the world starts and end in Lagos like New Yorkers.

I agree that Yoruba should stop dragging Bini into their history. But it is the Bini that cannot stop because without Yoruba Arts and History which translate into Oba history, they have no relevance whatsoever.

How often have you heard them relate Ogiso history? Some of them are even denying Ogiso.

For a long time, Yoruba never took their revised history seriously. Since they were ignored, they kept on building on lies dragging Yoruba into it.

Our Colo-mentality Too Much With No African Standard

It is no secret na; African employers prefer foreign graduates to our local university graduates. We have to be fair, some employers have good reasons like: it takes them too long to graduate because of strikes or students lack certain skills employers want. The same way we patronize foreign hospitals despite highly trained staff and equipped wards at our teaching hospitals, loved foreign rice and hate local cassava bread. [/b][/b]

If one had joked that he preferred foreign graduates locally, he might get away but certainly not outside the Continent. Most of us cannot imagine an American, German, Irish or British saying he cannot hire an American and prefer foreign graduates in America without losing his job or an election today when anti-immigrant sentiment is high. While it is appalling that after first year at local university, some lecturers jump to new universities to become professors; it is not an excuse by another foreign loser elevating himself to get recruits to say local education expired.

However, the most disqualifying requirement for most well qualified African graduates in the job market abroad is lack of Canadian, American or British experience. So many foreign talents are wasted abroad. But those African graduates that could slip through the bureaucracy always come out with flying colors proving to be more competent. Most of the blacks in American universities as graduate students are Africans, West Indians or their second generation.

Actually, some of the distinguished African professors in many universities abroad got first or second degree from African universities. If these sons and daughters of Africa can excel in their chosen field of study anywhere, one has to wonder what they could do if our African employers spent some quality time to train them at home instead of looking for less qualified expatriate. No one wants global multinationals to discriminate against either foreign or local graduates.

The same expired education trained new generation in arts and natural sciences recognized as pioneers in vitro surgeries, automobile engineering, social sciences, arts and literature. In order to ameliorate this blatant assertion by this Nigerian, the facilitating professor tried to set him right by saying he meant preference for African foreign graduates not the foreigners. It certainly was not enough because most African local graduates know that foreign graduates are paid more except in the governments where there are salary levels graded by degrees. But in the private sector, the foreigners without university degree not only earn much more than local and foreign African graduates, the so-called expatriates supervise them. It’s all colo-mentality.

Coming back to the training part; for sixty years or after independence from colonial powers, African countries have not insisted that every major contract or project must include training of Africans! It is only lately in some African countries including Lesotho that we see such contracts included in their projects. Some West African countries including Nigeria and Ghana would rather accept bribes and give foreign contractors a pass as in South Africa Zuma/Gupta/gate.

Frivolous excuse that they have no time to train local graduates prevent local production of pins and pencils. Our universities cry for imported equipment instead of designing and making theirs after so many years. Imagine how many engineers, ironworkers, plumbers could have come out of Eko Bridge, Eko Atlantic or diamond and gold mines that were exported from countries with so much, one was named Gold Coast. Colo-mentality pride on English gold and expatriates.

This brings us to the meaning of standard. Whenever you hear an African talk about “standard”, please ask him whose standard he was referring to. Most of the standards Africans talk about have no relevance, input or consideration for and from Africans. They are American, British or western standards, mostly. In some cases, such as World Health Organization bodies, African experts are consulted or actually have inputs before the “standards” are developed.

When China started their barefoot doctors and finally got to the point where their scientists are awarded Nobel Prize, nobody would even think of meeting “world standard”. If the Russians have to wait until they could meet “world standard”, they would still be trying to figure out how nuclear bomb design could be stolen and developed. Nobody outside America doubts that the Cuban produce one of the world best doctors, yet they did not wait to meet “world standard”.

Those of us old enough know the history of the “Gold Standard” that was abandoned when it could not be supported by their natural resources and services. It is still used to control world financial system by printing papers instead as: I Owe You. If you have been following this train of thought, the meaning of “standard” is so jaundiced to favor those that developed it. Yet, the Africans that are not invited for input or contribution, are the ones insisting on rigged standard.

When United States CDC rushed to Nigeria during Ebola, diagnosis had already been made from homemade machine in one of the new universities: Redeem in a village at Ede. The slogan was if Nigeria could kick Ebola, so could USA! Schools of health technologies training Community Health Officers, Nurses and other health grassroots workers were established by giants in the field in Nigeria hopping at least one African country would catch up with our needs and spread it across the Continent. When was the last time you heard Community Health Officer deserted?

Our educational standard has not expired, just to be renewed by foreign equipment. We have not developed ours as China, Germany, Cuba or N. Korea according to our languages/cultures. We are still training doctors, nurses, engineers and social scientists for alien countries. We then wonder why most of our doctors desert our countries for greener pasture.

Seriously, Dangote must set up a fund or more insurance for these accidents. True, accidents happen everyday but our drivers are reckless.

I remember that Dangote wanted his drivers reported for any reckless driving. He must do more to repair bad publicity caused by these drivers.

Which is worse?

Daily humiliation of rescued folks drowning,

Those waiting on death penalty abroad,

Xenophobic attack or

Die trying to get rich by any means necessary?

Well, I agree that you must get out fast from her and the parents. You can be nice to the father as he was to you if you like.

The problem is the children. How close are they to you, do they know anyone else as their dad? Nigerians are very particular about children DNA but even your own children may not be your loved ones especially if you are very rich. They tend to take life for granted and in this case, their mother have already taken you for granted.

Do not deny basic necessities for those kids, no matter what DNA reveals. There are people that adopt kids that are caring and some of our own that turn out otherwise. If you can afford it show care and love to the kids and move on. You may later have kids that are yours. Our morals in this country has gone to the gutter. Her mother probably know she is a slooooti.

Politicians Drive Youths To Suicides, Pastors, Imams, Militia, Desert & Sea

Do you recall when desperate youths thought of land flowing with milk and honey or dear life? Kill youths dignity and self-esteem, salvation are left to miraculous pastors, imams and juju. The desperate acts: sudden rise of youth suicides, selling body parts, seeking easy way out by act of God alone; emulate mismanagement, looting and waste of our resources by politicians. When Africans could not wait to get back home after studies abroad, has now become ancient history.

Instead of politicians creating jobs or enabling businesses, they make our youths vulnerable to unsavory endeavors. Those Asians that were starving and forced one child one family on their people used to come to Africa to work so that they could send money to their families. It has reverted, African youths are desperate to get out in order to survive outside their countries by any means. Death penalties, use of body parts or slavery no longer daunt breaking foreign laws.

Whoever you are, foreigners look at you in disgust. No matter how big your jets, houses and how many cars you drive, you cannot escape the plight of your people on television. Yet, there are Africans on spending spree in Dubai, Europe or America thinking they are better than their brothers and sisters literally trying to float above the water, waiting for gods to save them. We all carry the shame of how we treat one another regardless of our status or station, anywhere.

The lives of Africans have been so devalued, they are lucky if they survive in rubber boats or rescued by emergency ships patrol. They pull out as much babies and women they can rescue and leave the rest to perish after effort to save them fail or not timely. By the time they get to slave post to be sold like cattle or shores of Europe to be kept in refugee shelters, they become cheap commodity treated as less than humans. Who would respect any African or back man?

In order to escape the stereotype of begging or starving Africans, some people claim there are poor people everywhere and African are not the only people dirt poor. Some of us fear we are next. Recently Africa took the first place in world poverty , as usual. Even China and India with their explosive population manage and took care of their poor better that arrogant Africans.

Africans youths prefer to risk their lives than stay on their land. These are children of the same Africans that did not lay down and played dead to the whims and caprices of their tormentors. Youths have never been this hungry nor were they known as cowards. These were the children that were only willing to die when their dignity is reduced to shambles. Since they are unable to materialize successful lives or careers at home, are subjugated and turned into slaves outside.

Some Africans have been domesticated like animals fleeing their oppressors and driven into the hands of Africans that sell them as prostitutes and for body parts in North Africa in collusion with Arabs. African children would rather remain in subhuman refugee camps, prisoners and slaves in foreign lands than as free men in their own countries fighting for power. Africans have been so stripped and dehumanized, they sell themselves as cheap commodities. What a life!

While it is comforting to say not all Africans are guilty, only a few; the blemish is on all Africans. Indeed, it goes beyond the Continent, Diaspora Africans are ashamed of brothers and sisters in African countries as a few display blood money they made from selling their own; looking for more abettors in foreign countries. Not only do politicians sell us cheap, pastors or imams from whom we seek salvation forsake their mission of saving souls to open business centers (church).

The sudden spate of suicides especially among African youths is unprecedented in our history. We are not talking about only those offering themselves to the sea and desert but youths that feel unfulfilled in lives because of the myriad of resources wasted or negotiated away for personal gains by the politicians. Selling national companies and parastatal to one another.

Nevertheless, times has changed. The Africans that showed their kings calabash when they failed, fought against slavery on land and revolt in the high seas have been reduced to shadows of their bravery. Instead of fighting their oppressors, when backed to the wall, they melt into the walls of politicians and seek refuge in the hands of pastors and imams only to be raped and exploited by those that gain followers by predicting calamities and raising the “dead”.

Suicide used to be forced on kings that have failed in war and whose people had lost confidence in them. Shaka Zulu, in spite of his success in the war against the British had to commit suicide. Just as British Churchill Party was voted out after the war. In the Yoruba tradition also, if a king failed his people, he is shown the Calabash. So it is our leaders that have failed African youths that should be committing suicide not our precious adolescences, the future of Africa.

When we heard that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the underwear bomber nearly brought down a plane, many of us denied that he could be an African. Not only is he an African, but a Nigerian from a wealthy home. Why he would take up the cause of Arabs in America while there are so many causes of talikawa he could have taken up at home was beyond us. Families of politicians and billionaires, he could have activated a suicide bomb in one of their extravagant ceremonies.

If he was so disturbed by causes perpetrated by his family and their cohorts in politics, he could have helped us to get rid of some looters; most of whom are invited to ceremonies regardless of their party or ethnic group. Conspicuous display of stolen loot, diverted from infrastructures and the treasury could have justified his irrational behavior at home not in a foreign country. His martyrdom could have been celebrated if it could have reduced youth suicide rate at home.

Always remember the smart clown someone paid in Abuja to blow up the House by driving into it with a truck loaded with bombs. You could trust a Nigerian then that no one would die for big money he could not enjoy! He put a stone on the accelerator and left the truck to move on without him. Fortunately, the truck stalled and did not blow up. This was the African we knew, this sudden increase in the number of youths committing suicide is disturbing.

What is surprising is the inability to fight back and take control from those that rule African countries without any guilt or remorse for intentional indifference to the plight of their folks.

There are cases where the man married to get his papers only to turn around and send for his girlfriend.

Other cases regretted their action after their chi caught up with them. One remains miserable and childless. The only child he had with his previous wife rejected him.

Awo wrote Ironsi letters for his release. He and his Ojukwu backers never acted on it despite the fact that Awo planned UPGA party with them while and before he went to prison while Akintola objected for the simple reason that - whatever benefit Igbo got from alliance with the North, Yoruba want the same!

Akintola was right, look at Igbo now calling Yoruba Hausa slaves. Is that what they were in alliance with the North, even when Awo offered Zik Executive Prime Minister.
