From January 31st, she doesn’t need a TEER 1-3 job for spouse to be eligible to join on PGWP. IRCC has said any job in any category. It’s on thier website.

This is very correct although IRCC can be funny a times so if she has it as a support its good no document is too much for IRCC

Why not reply the same email that told you that in person collection is suspended or you go to vfs website and email them

Your SOP should explain her very important role for the omugwo and attach the Edd pic and any doctors recommendations on the Edd this will boast your chances , I wish you all the best

Most of his huge transactions are done with the business acct , he only trf few cash for housekeep inside his personal acct… biz acct of a sole trader is more or less personal account .

Once it appears on a registered Biz name IRCC will treat it like a company account I wish you the best

Thanks to travel section which increased the desire in me to move out of Nigeria. I started the process just before covid and I eventually left months ago. The reason why I choose to put this out there is because I was always kind of excited to read threads about people's experience abroad. I created a new account different from my usual one because I can decide to give personal information since I want to create savings plan in order to save $20,000 by Dec 2023.

I started my job mid August with $2300 after tax and I eventually got another one which was about $4000 before tax and take home became $3050 per month. Between then and now, I have acquired 2 plots of land around Mowe/Ibafo, each was between 300 and 500 hundred thousand naira because I'm someone who really believe in real estate. I'm not planning of acquiring more next year though. I now have about 2M in my naira account which was half of my POF which I got from a plot of land that I sold which belong to my family and I feel obligated to return it. I also currently have about $4000 in my Canada savings account, I might attach this.

Before coming here my income was between 130 and 180k naira and I almost lost it because I was already been told that business is slow, thankfully, I got my PPR a month after.

Note: I work from home and I'm not in Ontario. I want to note few things too but that could give hints because some of friends are in this section too

The patronage is very slow and low.

This is same situation many farmers complain and its not encouraging at all that's why these days it pays more if you can produce for groups like cooperatives , teachers and many other groups who if they know you can deliver they book ahead before festivals like this

application recieved: oct 11
biometrics passed: oct 14
medicals passed: november 24
bvl and ppr: dec 19

two things now please:
-my passport expires next year july should i send it that way or try renew it first. i live in abuja
- i actually don't want to go to Canada now as my semester is very close to starting and my form A payment hasnt been processed for tuition fees. i sent my school request for defferal to may semester just this monday.

You have only 30 days to get your passport stamped read the PPR letter and your passport still have up to 7 months validity if I were you I will get my passport stamped when u enter Canada you can go for renewal but if you choose otherwise to get the new passport now is not easy but at the end of the its your choice

NOTE: I DID NOT go for biometrics at all. I cancelled the application 3days after i applied and i didnt do biometrics at all.

My question is does that mean i have applied for Canada Visa before knowing fully well they do not have my face or fingerprints on record since i didnt do biometrics.... I have submitted a SOWP application and i answered NO to the question if i have ever applied or been refused a Canada Visa before? Do i need to update and inform them via webform that i applied before but cancelled the application before they processed it?

If the question is Have you applied for a Canada visa your answer should be yes because you submitted your application before you withdrew , but if the question is have you been refused a Visa application before your answer should be no because , you were never refused Visa but you withdrew your application.

If you want to explain this on your webform its not bad to avoid a situation that it will be seen you are withholding an information , you can go future to explain you answered no because you thought that an application without an decision on it was not valid but after a careful review you discovered you were wrong and hence the correction . You can also state the reason for your withdrawal then .

@ Prof! My wife Just got to Canada this week with a 1 yr study permit expiring Aug 2023 and I am planning to apply for SOWP / study permit respectively for me and my 4kid to join her what are our chances considering the 1 yr course constraint?

It doesn't matter if its 1 yr or 2 years all that matters is that in SOP you build a case of how the separation of the family will affect the family , show that you have things that will bring u back after her study , good job or registered good biz , good home ties , good cash then your good to go

Are you a PR holder or a Citizen if you are , then you could get a Doctors Advice showing your EDD and attach to a web form asking for a speedy approval on health grounds then you will also write to IRCC stating on the need for your sisters application to approved on time because of the current development and her presence will highly be of help as she will assist u during this period attach the EDD , get a medical report from your doctor attach all and send but if your not a PR Holder or Citizen well you just be hopeful because their many VV applicants of March without response yet , you can just send web forms asking to help look into your application as it have way passed processing time .

Our application showed medical passed since dec 1st and eligibility and background checks under review. Now I want to ask if I should mail IRCC to ask for update on our applications or I should be patient? The wait is killing.

Do you believe that its just your hotel bills that will make a VO grant you a 7 days tourist visa , a VO will need to be convinced that after the 7 days expenses you have enough you can fall back on and not be tempted to stay back to work but in I wish you Goodluck

Flight alone will all most finish the 2million , consider hotel bills , transportation , and other logistics to be on a safer side if you can have from 10k cad or 6million plus then its very good

What you do because IRCC timeline is not predictable is start the process of getting a new passport now , but as soon as your spouse leaves you can go ahead and apply no problem once your new passport is ready and your PPR drops you send the biodata page through webform to IRCC notifying them of the new passport then you send both the new and old passport for stamping , the new one will be stamped and returned to you without issues by this way you did not waste more time waiting for a new passport before application .

Hi, my brother is about to do capturing this Friday for his passport renewal. Can we talk about this fast tracking please? His BVL has dropped but his OPR hasn't, we figured that it is because of the fact that his passport expires in May 2023.

Some people who get BVL without OPR or refusal, I think (personal opinion) that it is sometimes due to the fact that your LOA is invalid or has expired or your passport expiry is within 6 months, just my thought though.

Passport expiry in May 2023 cannot be an obstacle last week someone got ppr and passport will expire in Jan 2023 and the person is rushing now to stamp and travel hoping that when he enters Canada he will go for passport renewal and extension reason is that passport renewal in Nigeria now is not guaranteed on sharp sharp as before

I just recieved my passport now phew!
The stress of this canada journey is unending.

So I sent my passport through DHL on the 21st of November and it arrived VFS Lagos(where I did my biometrics) on the 22nd.

However, DHL said they do not carry out 2way courier service anymore as that was a new instruction from Vfs so I paid for the 1way return fee directly to Vfs.

I got an acknowledgement email from Vfs that day and i was getting subsequent email update from vfs on the whereabouts of my passport.

I got a message on the 30th of November that my passport had been couriered from Abuja and will be sent to me via their courier partner. My LOI and Counterfoil was yet to drop on my portal so I sent 2 webforms to IRCC and it dropped the next day 1st of December

I couldn't track my passport so I was in the dark until today I contacted vfs and they gave me my AWB number and told me to track on UPS website which I did and found out it had arrived in my city but they said they had issues with my address. So I walked into their office to retrieve it.

In everything you do, put God first cause he made all this possible at his own timing.

Congrats pls how did you pay for the Vfs courier return fee , how much did u pay and to whom did you pay to sorry for too much question I have someone who is sending tomorrow and DHL told him it 18k both return they did not mention what you said but I think you are more current pls

A friend was denied for the following reasons:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/
section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will
leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). This just a single application no accompany.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

This is absurd given that her application was stronger than most applications I have seen that got positive response. She showed 49k CAD including 10k USD in a dorm account, 10k CAD deposit towards tuition, a 2 years study leave from Nigeria, farm land property under her name and three houses under her husband's name. 3 of her kids are in Nigeria and 1 abroad.

Please what else do they want. I have applied for GCMS but these days it takes up to 2 to 3 months to get it back. The plan is to apply in January she has deferred her admission. Application was August 6.

Now the only problem I see with her situation was that she is coming for a two years diploma program meanwhile she has done masters. But we were able to establish that this diploma program in Human Resources management is relevant to a current position in Nigeria, since her background was in science.

Please house what do you advise in such situation as this?

Sometimes so things are better left of if at the initial stage the masters was not presented it could have been easier to justify going for a diploma after BSc but now this is more like a reverse my suggestion is if she is gainfully employed let her try and get a letter head from the establishment starting that they want her to go for a diploma in Hr because they want her to take a significant position in their hr department, then if she is a biz owner let a director in her biz write such quoting the impact it will have in turning around the Hr of such establishment because the money is very OK and the family not going with her is very good to tell the story of her coming back

Did you use old portal to apply for the first refusal and did you use old or new portal to apply for the second one. I am thing of withdrawing my application and reapplying using old portal.my application is almost 5months now. Last week I received bvl without ppr .till date no ppr and no decision .I am tired of these canada people . Same date I got the bvl was the same day my admission expired .i think they did it on purpose to frustrate me.My Sch has vowed not to defer freely again I had to pay 250usd to Defer .

Why not send mails and web forms than withdraw an application that has even sent a bvl , 250$ is better than starting all over of when u are not sure but the choice is your to make , goodluck

Pls a friend of mine got his approval on Tuesday the issue is that as his bvl dropped , medical request dropped for his Kid's he instantly uploaded the e form for the kids but his ppr dropped and his kids are yet to drop now he doesn't know which way forward I was suggesting to send web form but I said let me seek for other advice here.

Hello I don't have a comprehensive advice for you but the little I have is this;
Apply for SOWP ,vv is stagnant these days.
For your children for 5 yrs and above apply for study and below no need but fill in their names with vv application no you did for them and later explain that in LOE.
Then you will write an invitation letter inviting your spouse and family.
Let your Spouse write an SOP explaining the reason why they want to join you.
If your spouse is in biz , submit CAC or biz registration .
Submit home ties of building , cars
Pics of aged parents will be good
And if the spouse is a employed , submit photocopy of Id , pay slips , leave approval stating they expected back just to convince the VO you will be back after the stay.
Statement of account
Your statement of account will also be good as a back up
If you are working u can also put your pay slips
Any investments in Nigeria to show you will come back will be good.
Get all this documents and prayers will push u through , remember other people may have superior advice's

Yes that is my concern too.

Her tuition is around 15k plus annually for 2years.

She deposited 10k and gave statement of 11m.

This is the main reason , that's why the VO said that she needs work to support the payment for studies , the problem now is cash if the total school of 15k can be paid with 11m or money as closing bal this situation will come out as approved.

Yes the school asked for initial deposit of 7500 CAD but she paid 10k

This is not adding up well , how much is the total school fees example what is the total school fees for the course she is going for
