As you treat yourself , so would others treat you. If Aussie Govt use all means to put pressure on the Indonesians, I see no reason, we can't apply same measures.
good point. and who is we?. is it not yaradua?

I don't understand why Lippi broke the cardinal rule by taking back the job. That's really weird! He left that job on a high note - winning the world cup and should have left it that way.

He'd now be under too much pressure to deliver and I doubt that he can pull it off again. The Italian team were the oldest in Euro 2008 and are definitely past their prime. Lippi now has the unenviable task of re-building the team from scratch. He has to build a younger, hungrier squad to carry them to SA 2010.

PoliticsRe: Landis(Nairaland): I Wish We Could Think Like The West by noetic(m): 12:57pm On Jun 27, 2008
Again, Reasoning on the part of knowledge is the prefarable option, regardless of race and applying it to ur particular situation. In other words u r intellectually propagatin progressive ideas to move d nation forward but putting into consideration the traditions and diversity of ur present environment.

for instance can we say because the chinese were able to liberate about 450m people from d trenches of poverty, can we because of that choose to practice communism?

can we say because saudi arabia and dubai are fast developing countries, can we then choose to apply their outdated, antideluvian, inhuman sharia law in nigeria. and the same goes to the west. a succesful application of a policy there does not mean it is best used everywhere. this explains y the british use a parliamentary and a monarchy system and the americans use a presidential approach and the swiss use an inexplicable system of power. the rallying factor is intellectualism, but each is distinct.

attempts at cabon-copying western ideas, practices, policies and programmes have failed in nigeria. not because they arent good enuf intellectually. but because they are not applicable and practicable in a diverse and distinct society like ours.

For Peace to reign lets have mutual respect for one another regardless of faith. If you desecrate another, then when your turn comes do not shout. As what goes around comes around.
u need to specially address that to d musli.m brethrens.
did the xtians ever protest the davinci code, that called to question the conventional basis of the xtian faith: NO

islam as a religion and muslims as worshippers have failed society and morality

Clemency in any case will then be the sole prerogative of the Indonesian government not a right.

And only a responsible nigerian government can diplomatically appeal to the ego of the indonesians.

It's not a moral issue. The issue is not even a guy supplying money because he also has a right not to do so. It was only a suggestion but thee question is whether the fact that a woman decides the fate of her unborn child SOLELY is grossly unfair in todays world since men contribute immensely towards the making of the pregnancy?
It is a moral issue. and considerin her guts to abort.

very callous, inhumane, animalistic, wicked, shameful, murderous, devilish and satanic act.

No one has a right to kill an unborn child

once there was this guy and his crew of friends who wouldnt stop staring at me and my friends. we knew they were lames because they were putting up a front that they were playas but they were nothing but wannabes. so we got tired of their down right rudeness so i suggested we all stare at them. so we did. it was so hilarious. they started blowing kisses at us and they bought us drinks. we took the drinks and left the guys. cheesy cheesy
was dat all dat happened?
