yes it is murder, but forgivable in situations when the girl was raped and she got pregnant. but when such act is intentional then it shouldn't be forgivable, thats why they pay for it in the future when they end up not being able to have babies.
not all of them. abortion should b a capital crime like murder.

Some victims fear telling their parents or others about the event that occurred. Some even go into withdrawal and depression. You would not xpect the person that keeps insisting to herself that the event did not happen or maybe she's trying to protect someone, to go and report to the police that rape occurred, much less going to her doctor to get the medication to avoid the pregnancy from progressing.
so u r saying it is safer to abort a developing foetus than to proceed for medication to prevent the foetus from developing at all.
u also mentioned protecting someone.
y would u protect someone that wickedly raped you and then report someone whom u r married to but has a rapist past to the police? i dont understand.
Well, I think it's forgivable because most abortion does not warrant a person's arrest. You can't say oh, am going to "abort" my baby, hope the police does not find out or find me! It's a legal murder.
u cant justify the reason y it is forgivable. i guess u r only sentimental cos its a feminine crime.
abortion is a criminal offence in certain countries, it is only unfortunate that it is a non-issue in nigeria.

none the less, it is a moral crime against humanity. whatever makes murder and rape unforgivable also makes abortion unforgivable regardless of the reason.

It depends on the situation. . sometimes you might not be able to help it.
Either if the baby is diagnosed to have genetic diseases or maybe the baby is a result of rape.
But still, I think abortion is a kinder, more forgivable word for murder. . .
there are immediate medications for rape victims to avoid pregnancy. if the victim carelessly allows the foetus to grow, then that does not call for abortion.
and why is this form of murder forgivable? u said this in the Love and Crime thread about a spouse that commits murder in the past
Yes, I'll divorce him and tell the cops. It's either him spending time or me getting shut up in my sleep Lips sealed
pls justify y abortion is forgivable and murder is not?
Family › Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by noetic(op): 5:03pm On Jun 29, 2008
Considering the conversant feminist opinion that men who have murdered, raped and had one nasty past or the other do not deserve forgiveness as expressed here https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-146381.0.html and in other similar threads.
they reckon that a man who has commited the above crime no matter how long ago, should still be handed over to the authourities, without a second chance.

thus the question. Is abortion the same as murder? and if u realise that your spouse has a past of abortion, which u later got to find out, will u forgive? and do consider such abortionists as muderers, wicked and callous?

kudos to sista jay

sure, but the poster said you both now have a perfect relationship.
that means he has overcame his problems. . . . . . he needs emotional support not condemnation

Spare a thought for the child that was raped and killed, and the pain the child's parent are going through. Kids can visit their dad in prison. But can the victim parents ever see, hear, love, care, hold their child. And the point is are the kids of the rapist safe around him?. . . . . . . . . . .I wonder. By telling the cops about him I might save another child going through the same fate as the one that was raped and killed.
so he has no right to a second chance

RedHotChic:
Why?
it can help me to picture or imagine ur opinion.
because i dont understand y u would end a "perfect" relationship because of a revealed past.
it sounds jejune. undecided

Do you think that every fraudster or armed robber had a successful career in that field? What if he did it sometime ago, made a living out of it and lost it all once again. This is beyond money, so, can you please lay off the traditional "women wants our money" and think outside the box for once. I'm looking to depend on a man's emotional support more than his finances, if you know what i mean.
y r u goin defensive?

what makes a financial crime different from murder and rape?
by murder u end someones life, by raping u deystroy someone.
when u steal d life savings of someone not only do u end their lives u also deystroy them.

emotional support?
use ur own medcine and offer him emotional support at this tryin time of his life.
y divorce him? u havent given a convincin reason. cry

Seun:
That is extremely stupid. If you die for your kid, who will take care of him/her?

First of all, you can't donate your heart to your kid when you are perfectly healthy.
The only acceptable heart donors are people who recently died or are brain dead.

What if you donate your heart to your son and the operation fails. Then you both die. Once again, as I said, it's extremely stupid.

He did that in the past but there is no guarantee that he will not do it in the future if there is another chance. For God's sake, he may be psychotic and may relapse anytime. So, it's safer to take him/her off the streets.
are u married? if no, do u intend to?

Because those crimes generally has nothing to do with sickness in the head or harming peoples lives. A thief can repent but if he goes back to it, i'd rather leave him than report him. Let the Feds do their job for once.
look at ur words.

a thief can repent provided the proceeds of his theft which runs into millions of hard currency is safe in a fixed deposit to take care of u and ur children.
I m not suprised anyway, it explains the rate in which 9.ja grls rush on guys wit money regardless of d source.

Why not say consider your actions depending on the crime committed and not the source of the information? For sure, I can forgive a husband that committed tax fraud, 419 etc but harboring a pedophile and murderer is more difficult to contend with.

You don't know what you'll gain by reporting her?: You'll gain the virtue that comes with protecting other kids that may fall victim to her antics.
in ur initial post, u created the scenario of a perfect relationship. meaning that the inaction belongs to the past.
now u make it sound as if the spouse is still actively involved in such crimes?

and y would u forgive a tax fraud and 419? and not murder?
because u tend to benefit from his financial fortune. if one crime is worth forgiving, then all crimes are worth forgiving.

If you want to know which army my dear , i will recommend 2 books

1. Why we struck by Ademola Ademoyega
2. My Command by Olusegun Obasanjo

What the millitants are doing now is just propaganda and it is important in warfare. This was done doing the Biafra disaster. The millitants have no chance of survival in a full scale warefare.

Warfare is mostly won in the air, even as far back as 1967-1970 the airforce was very instrumental. Do you think they can survive the onslaught of the airforce, supported y the barricade of the Navy on the Sea. And then the the Army on the Bayelsa, and Abia Axis. If all their supplies are cut off( food, arms, crude bunkering), how long do you think a bunch of undisciplined thugs will last?

God forbid a full scale war, I am sure the millitants are praying silently against this, just as i am praying loudly against it; they will not survive more than 8 weeks of constant shelling.
By the grace of God it would never get to that
seconded.
thats y i find it very easy to ignore the militant propaganda.
wetin den want take fight war? they are politically sponsored and the authourities know their backers.
so a full scale warfare will b disastrous to the untrained militants, their illegal bunkering bussiness partners and their poitical sponsors.
