Hi guys,

I might be moving to Nigeria soon, and i'm thinking of doing something with NOUN as i might not have the time to attend a conventional university. However, there seem to be so many complaints concerning missing results and other such, which is frankly, quite alarming. Can anyone help shed some light as to what might be going on here? Is this a regular occurrence or the affected individual are merely an unlucky few?

Any info will be appreciated.

Is not a usual occurrence, it happens every where, even in conventional universities. As u rightly said, may be to unlucky few. I am one of NOUN pionier students, i studied my 1st and 2nd degrees at NOUN, so dont be discouraged

Pls is it true dat Noun run 3 semesters in 1 year? Since one is expected to av 8 semesters to av a degree, will I spend 3 years in NOUN to become a graduate? Pls someone should give me an explanation abt how NOUN run their semester.

NOUN tried it but seems not visible for now. becos exam takes 4 months in a year. I mean1st sesmester Pop 1 month Cbt 1 month, thesame thing for 2nd semester. So as at now, noun runs 2 semesters in a year but you can still complete ur 8 semester degree course in 7 semester or less if you can cope ooh. Because by the time you a geting to 300 level, ur course load may be lesser and u can combine courses from feature sememster with current in as much their total units not exceed 24unit

I asked for noun teller cos d schl z applicants shld SPECIFICALLY REQUEST for noun teller. I read dat on their website

just tell them what you want to pay for e.g i want to pay for noun admission form

Well Bankole was alleged of not serving the country shortly after he became speaker in 2007.
He had to look for a picture he snapped in camp to save himself., and testimonies by former mates.
If you exclude before you're 30, you may find yourself in Bankole's situation.

lol you got it wrong, u mean all public office holders passed through NYSC? What about those with part-time, OND and NCE holders? They allerged Bankole because he schooled abroad ( standard for foreign students that want to go into politice he/she must serve). If you have you exemption or exclusion you are covered go and find out.

What happened to Bankole? In as much as u have registration no with NYSC you are covered, what about those that graduated in coventional unis but above 30 yrs of age? Discharge, expemption or exclusion certificates is sufficient, i dont think Bankole have any of these

how many organization heve u been ? That was the question, u said u are talking frm experience. This is same way some people were condemning private universities before, they call them all sort of names ( advance secondary sch or glorify sec sch.) but now some employers even preffer their products to FG or state vasities products. If your organisation doesnt employ noun graduate that is personal thing not the problem of certificate, remember some companies some time state their prefrence eg 2.1 frm 1st gen universities ( oau, unlag,ui and few others)... Samething happened to NECO that time but today all is story.

Which reality are you talking about, i was one of pionier student of NOUN, we where given exclusion leter from NYSC. It serve same purpose as discharge certificate

Lol what about all telecom vendors, most of them pay their staffs (not contract) good salaries, some are pay in dollar equivalent... Even their contract staff's salary is better than most civil servant salaries.

1. Name of University
2. Available PHD programs
3.Requirement
4. Other necessary info
should please post them here . Let make make it interactive, where answers should be provided to questions from prospective applicants

Pls i'm about to enter 400lvl(2nd sem), and i have like 3 failed compulsory courses that are really hard, not sure to pass them on a re-sit. I have also passed up to the required 120units 4 b.sc. Now the questions are
1. Will those 3 courses prevent me from graduating?
2. Must i pass all the compulsory courses in my course outline/list b4 i can graduate?

3 compultory courses? U will need to re-write those papers but why saying u are not sure of passing them. Nothing is impossible if other could you too can pass them. Just put more effort and seek help from your mates. Read very well and study past questions, beleive me u can come out with As in those courses.

go to your SC or HQ if you are in lagos pay the stipulated amount for transcript then u are good to go

nothing if you have re-sit you will pay for exam only. That course will be droped automatically into ur portal so that you can re-register it for exam(only)

The judgment is not a fait accompli. Of course he will appeal it all the way to the Supreme Court. By the time he exhausts his legal options and right of appeal , the case would have gone cold.

Personally, I have no immediate interest in seeing him imprisoned. Afterall he is not a threat to the peace, security, and wellbeing of the Nigerian public.

Someone in Taraba SC will take bus to Lagos cos of missing result of an online programme or reason why name is not on graduating list?Is dt enough to put you on such risk when you can send mail or even do a live chat...Na wa oooo.Then what's the essence of SC? Seriously, the institution has been a huge success but more still has to be done. Try do any online programme abroad in Nigeria, the speed of response to your mail and other inquiries will so marvel you let alone complain of missing result, the response will be as a speed of light. i write from experience.

Oh sorry, i thought u are frm Lagos state. I did my 1st and 2nd degrees at Agidingbi sc lagos, i was talking base on my experience. Even here in Lagos, most times you dont get satisfactory info from SC, i agreed with u, more have to be done in this area. We used to be given certain questionaire form during our exam then. I dont know if NOUN still do this, in the form there is a place to sugest to management any area you think they need improvement. Houpeople can use that channel

I see hope in the future of the south west if these companies work, odua telecommunications is dead, Wema bank,eternal oil,critical hope askar paints are not in good shape, however putting lagos in the equation is the only misfire, lagos will go down like cocoa house.

WEMA bank just given license to become national bank few month ago, so i think the bank is doing fine

My issue with NOUN is information. No one to give the right information you need and when you need it. Even your study centre directors won't tell you anything. I just hope they can have a help centre that attends to people's complaints. So many people name miss for this graduating list including Msc students.

Let's just keep praying and hoping to get information.

Look i am one of pionier students of NOUN if you need any info go to HQ they will attend to you in more mature way than SC.

Just calm everything will be sorted out. Maybe they need to get some info from your formal sch. If u are in Lagos go to HQ for info

name that your school and let the whole word know. Up till last convocation, i mean last 4 convocations NOUN produced only 2 first class students. So i am not sure of this 15 of a thing until i confirm. NOUN course materials are voluminous and you must read from back to back because no lecturer, no area of concentration . You can only have luck if examiner repeat past questions that you have treated the question before.

With all these yeye news, one may be tempted to support social media act. If you want publish this kind of information, go extral miles and provide details like sharareports does. You quote a source frm presidency no document to back it up, abah

op run the 2 together if you are financially bouyant, i know someone like that, he register for pre-degree when he was at HND1, now he is doing fine, but if you want to choose 1 abeg go for uni. Admission you wont regret it
