We should cut Arsenal some flak. In one week, they humiliated Tottenham 4-1, smashed Bayern Munich 3-1 (despite the huge boast and loud noise by Bayern Munich players and many pundits before the game), and drew 1-1 with Chelsea (without their two brilliant defenders- Gabriel and Saliba- who didn't play because of injuries)...

The defenders who played for them, this evening, have never started a game, together, before now. Every good club would have struggled.

Playing against ten men doesn't usually guarantee a win. There are many instances, across many leagues and competitions.

Manchester United, at home, lost 0-1 to 10-man Everton, just recently.

I still tip them to win the Premier League this season, UNLESS they suffer a major meltdown.

This is a flimsy excuse. Was there Gabriel when Arsenal humiliated Almighty Bayern? Bayern couldn't even threaten your defence. Gabriel who is your best set piece converter didn't play yet you guys scored from a set piece. But against Chelsea none of a single set piece threatened them. If you want to use the argument of not having their best defender, Chelsea can as well say they don't have their best player, Cole Palmer. Before the game, the truth is most persons, even some Chelsea fans, felt Arsenal would demolish Chelsea. But it didn't happen. Arsenal was just fortunate. I was pained when Estavo was removed from that match. Did you see how that lad was running behind your defence? He would have created great havoc had he stayed in that game. Yes, Arsenal is very good, but don't you write Chelsea off. Don't you ever give Chelsea a reason to prove a point. History has shown that they always prove that point. You can imagine if it was Arsenal that had that red card! With the way the game went, it would have been otilor. Before the game, i knew the club who wins the midfield would win the match. And of course Chelsea was dominating that midfield before the red card. And even after the red card, James single handedly put Arsenal's midfield at bay. So you can imagine if it was 11 - 11 throughout the game or it was Arsenal that had the red card. Abeg, Arsenal was fortunate. No long talk. At least they can confirm that Chelsea is the world champions for a reason.

I'm just wondering whether they'll interview me on different days for different roles I'm shortlisted for. If that's the case, it might be a herculean one, cos I stay outside Lagos.

My status just changed now for two roles from Application received to application under review. I mean just now. Wells operations integrity Advisor and Wells quality specialist. Thank you Jah. Guys let's be hopeful

So was it all EH positions that were updated on the 24th or just those once you mentioned? Any update for EH integrity and project engineers?

Yes they have been contacted except Instrumention and Electrical Engineers but their status has changed.
The applicant didn't apply for multiple positions.
Below is for Wells Quality Specialist interview invite.

Hmmm. It appears they're giving attention to those who applied for only one position. Those of us who applied for more than one position can only be hopeful.

@ennyjo1 should be in the right position to answer that. There's Graduate wells offshore operations supervisor and there's wells operations integrity advisor. I don't know the one he's referring to. But I think it's the latter cos it appears they are attending to EH guys first. The whole process is really confusing sha. The HR guys might even be confused sef.

By the way, this is the most secretive recruitment thread I've seen on Nairaland. It seems some persons just come here to get info without contributing. I wonder why someone would have an info and decide to keep it to himself and yet comes here to get info from others. Afterall, this is a faceless forum.

People have been asking whether nurses, inspection engineers and security guys have received emails, and no info about those. If you have received email or know someone who has, it wouldn't do you any harm to inform the house. It still won't prevent you from getting the job.

Really wish I could share what I heard. The last time I managed to share the info I got, to the effect that the recruitment would be concluded by May 2020, a number of people here said all manner of nasty things ( I just laughed).

It might be true. What I know for sure is that, there is a meeting scheduled for ending this month.
One of the major items on the agenda is to discuss proposals for voluntary retirement of staff on SS4-SS1( staff that joined the corporation as Juniors and later converted to Senior Staff cadre).
After the meeting, they will review all vacancies.
They may likely discuss about EH. For those that have sources should help us confirm the outcome of the meeting.

Let EH rekindle the momentums and always use every possible means to communicate with NNPC to conclude EH component of the exercise. Good luck to us because getting NNPC job is a luck and mercy from the High one.

There are EHs here. It's just that many are indifferent or don't want to be seen as desperate for the job. So make all of us dey lock up make Nnpc do wetin them like. If they decide to call EHs or not we move.

There are vacancies but the issue is mainly at the managerial cadre, once the vacancies are filled now, the people in SS1 will find it very difficult to cross over to M level. From SS5 to SS2 no problem, there is room for promotion and ascension, that's why they want to make sure everything is well sorted out.

Isn't April too far? If nothing happens before the first week of April, bear it in mind that the resumption for new EHs would extend to September - that's if they intend to close the recruitment out.

The time to act or ask questions is now or never.

I agree with you. Someone said they want to do internal restructuring before considering us. Is that not laughable? Were there no vacancies before they put up the advert for EH?

EHs, perhaps it's time to commend and respond.

"We promised Nigerians to conclude the exercise with utmost dignity and justice", says the GMD. How could he make this statement when the EH exercise has not been concluded? I laugh. Obviously the EHs are not in the picture. When I said all EH should brainstorm on what we need to do, e be like say na me need the job pass. Well, make we sit down dey look.
