I wonder why people try to give themselves unnecessary worries. Go through the advert again. For experienced hires masters was only required for those with 2.2 and HND. If you have a 2.1, it's not compulsory. On the other hand, professional certification is just an added advantage.

Bro calm down. It is only logical to conclude that those status still reads application received will most likely be shortlisted. Cos you can't tell me that from the applications that they reviewed so that they sent a huge number of guys regret mail last week, no one was qualified to have his status changed to under review.

If your status says "Under review" it does not mean that you will automatically be shortlisted in the end. It is just an indication that someone has gone through your application profile, and must have noted down your chances of consideration for shortlisting. In that case, your chances of being called for the next stage is 50/50. Now, if your status says "application received" it means your profile is yet to be reviewed by the hiring team, and your turn for that is in sight. Meanwhile, you are still in, but if otherwise move on with your valuable life.

Yes, what you stated above had been the practice of Mobil. But take note that as they change some to "no longer under consideration", others are also changed to " under review ". But so far no one has had a change to "under review". That's unlike what I know about them. Cos so many guys have received regret mails. So among all the applications they have reviewed so far, no one is qualified to have their status changed to " under review "? I doubt. I think the process is taking a different shape. So if you have not received a regret mail, I think you may have been shortlisted. So expect your mail this week.

Note: So many guys got regret mails last week.

Sincerely, I don't understand their pattern for this position. I have seen guys here whose status have changed to no longer under consideration but no one has said his own is under review. Or is it that they don't want to speak up? Abeg if your status has changed or you know anyone whose status has changed to under review please let us know so I can decipher the pattern the process is taking.

Wow! I am B.Eng too but no regret mail yet and my status is still application received. I knew the requirement was HND or its equivalent but decided to give it a shot. My case may be different though.

But has any one with HND gotten a regret mail or changed status?

They are to work with the current heads for easy transition into office by 8th of July, this will help in continuity of whatever is on ground before they take fully taking over.

The current heads are still very much in charge of all operations, and I won't be surprised if the new once have zero influence on the ongoing recruitment, except if no call for interview before 8th.

P.S: no source oo, just a concerned applicant thinking out loud. God help us

Guy, who are you? You just typed what's on my mind perfectly. If the info that had been flying around ( mails for interview dropping next) is really true, the new development should not change it cos by next week the current heads will still be charge. I think the new heads can only influence the process after interviews are concluded.

My thoughts though.

Just to share what I heard today to the few who are looking for information from anywhere:

* There were questions in every set that didn't have answers in the options provided & they were deliberate.
Negative marking was applied to such questions while those who skipped/let them blank had extra/bonus marks.

* Everything is concluded as per the test and those to be invited penciled already.

* Invitations for interview should be concluded - ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL, before end of next week.

* New employees will resume either in July or worst case August.

RECOMMENDATION:
√ Put your best effort in what you do currently
√ Do not allow the process to disturb you since those to be contacted have been confirmed: your worry won't change a thing.
√ It is not all that passed the test that will be invited for interview.


SOURCE: A hopeful who was told about her test score and other information of which I posted some of the very relevant ones.

Considering the fact that in the 2011 recruitment successful guys were contacted in a months' time (the test being paper based), don't you guys think they will contact us in less than that time? Please those with useful info and if possible that Joseph the dreamer (though I feel he is an insider and not a dreamer) should give us hint on when to expect success mails. That's all I am interested in right now.

Not sure yet whether 2019 will also involve presentation. But most likely.

firstly, do not forget there would be interview too. They would shortlist more than what they need,so as to enable them compete.

As per the Gts and EH,They are two different groups.

Their functions are different.Hence, it would be ranked based on Functions as a GT aspirant cannot function as an EH.

However, suppose they need 10 mechanical engineers and the highest scoring mechanical engineering applicant, whose scores, say 80%, is from a state where the first 20 highest persons (assuming that's the allocation for that state) are from other discipline, will he be jettisoned?

Sincerely, this federal character rule is confusing to me. I am just wondering how they put all these parameters to play.

Please I need some clarifications about this federal character rule with respect to this recruitment.

Firstly, suppose they need 20 persons from state A and the first 20 highest scores are from EHs, does that mean that no GT would be employed from that state? On the other hand, if the first 20 highest scores come from GTs, does it mean no EH would come state A?

Secondly, are the allocations based on the disciplines of applicants?

Is there anyone whole venue is Uppper Misssion, Benin City, who has gotten the mail? Tomorrow is a public holiday and up till this moment I have not gotten the mail. I have only confirmed my venue on the portal. What do I take as my printout? Is it the one on the portal? Just thinking out loud.

Has any experienced hire receive the mail for venue? Feels like I am the only one left.

Does anyone know whether the test will be conducted by Philip consulting, shl, dragnet or any other body?
