However, the DSS commands respect because it is controlled by the President ad their operations are shrouded in secrecy.

But in terms of training, resources and man power, DSS no near Army.

A DSS are trained to take bullets protecting the presidents and other political VIPs noting must happen to them while at the same time repelling such attack. Army is to defend the country against external attacks

The DSS overseas the internal security.
