Nigeria cant fight serious war with foreign army 'cos she has a more serious task of keeping her own army together. Thats why contries like Russia, israel, uk, france that are homogenous have powerful military. I can swear that if Nigeria have any problem with cameroon they will decisively rout nigeria. Many pple think that winning a war squarely rests on number of foot soldiers and availabe weapons. They tend to underestimate the ethnic fragmentations of Nigerian army. Biafra lost the civil war simply because it was impromptu. No time to seek for allys, no time to mobilise fighters, no time to mobilize the population and prepare them for, infact, the war was largely a response to the need for protection from the unwaranted state sponsored massacre of civilians. Again, most senior officers were igbo before the war while majority of non commissioned officers were northerners, that was why Hausa fulani easily had upper hand during ethnic clashes in the army and pogrom. They easily mutinied and conspired, killing the rest of igbo senior officers and took control of the army. Infact nigeria had an established army in the start of the war, had support of super powers with the advantage of being a recognised nation. Biafra had no army. It was the few officers who escaped the killing with their guns that fought the war. All that has changed today. There are thousands of igbo junior and senior officers in the army today, as well as other SS people. Any attempt to kill civilians as was done in '67 will fragment the military. Infact it happened in Enugu barracks around May this yr.
