CSTR2: Shut the eff up. He is right. The IQ of some igbos really leaves a lot to be desired. The divisions and individualism in igboland is now bothering into the ridiculous. Divisions created by past military dicatorial governments who are some of the dumbest in the world is what many of you are taking to the extreme. What the fucck is anambra or Enugu? You are all igbos. ihea ina ako enweghi isi na odu ma ncha. Oburugodiri na ala Igbo nile bu otu state, odighi mma isi na mmadu si ebe osighi. Chinom: Dumb assertions and inferences. If Nkem Owo, Mr. Ibu, or Onyeka were born in Onitsha, grew up there, lived all their lives there and still live there, Yes, you have the right to call them Otu or Onitsha boys and girl, but not Anambrarians. Most of you guys are not even thinking well. Is 042, the Coal city synonymous with Enugu state?. Are you even aware that 042 refers only to Enugu urban area code. Nsukka had a different code in those days of Nitel. Nsukka is also in Enugu state, but Nsukka is not included in 042. Sames goes for Abakiliki and Onitsha in the days of OLD Anambra state. They all had different Nitel codes.
As a matter of fact all the people you mentioned in your post grew up in Enugu. You people should STOP flaring up any time someone mentions that These celebrities are from Enugu. It's very childish. There is absolutely no need to correct the post. The Op that used the word 'Village' did it for feeble minded people like you. sorry but you talk like a derainged fellow. You dont deserve my attention. |

Chinom: Any time someone mentions that Flavour and Phyno are from Enugu, some people's blood will just start boiling. It's becoming annoying. How insecure are you people. Time to put a stop to that.
I have never seen Yoruba's arguing about which state Olamide or Wizzkid come from. Olamide claims Lagos. I'm not even sure he was born there, yet no ones argues with him on that.
These village Igbo boys should please stay away from Igbo matters. i doubt whether you are Igbo or not if not you should be mindful of the nonsense you spew before they backfire. Someone posted a topic of musicians with masquerade and (either by commission or ommission) tagged it their village. It is wrong whether they grew up their or not. What do you even mean where they are moulded. Where they fed, housed or clothed for free in Enugu? People by chance get to grow up in places they are not native to, especially in Igboland. Only insecure people claim big names as their own. Ever seen Anambrarian mentioning Nkem owo, Onyeka onwenu or Emma Emenike as natives. Keep uiet and take corrections 'cos if i mention chino and he starts pounding you, you'll be first to cry. |

Politics › Re: The Reason Why Other Tribes Don't Want Biafra by Noneroone(m): 11:56am On Sep 15, 2016 |
humilitypays: I don't see Biafra becoming that great country we desire, not because Igbos aren't great people, but because the crop of politicians we have in Igbo land now are corrupt, evil, selfish. And no matter what you think, these crop of politicians have the money, the influence, the followers, etc to cause chaos in Biafra should Biafra gain freedom.
If Biafra gets freedom, there will be multiple factions seeking for leadership/power. The Biafran youths will reject this move and this will lead to a very dangerous situation of total breakdown in law and order in Biafra that will likely lead to a very brutal civil war within Biafran states.
Anambra people are more ambitious and power-drunk than any other Igbo state, and Anambra people love dominating others, so if Biafra comes, Anambra people, especially those from Nnewi would want to be in charge of leadership, and other Biafran states will reject this, and this will lead to formation of factions and Biafran government rebels, hence, another deadly war will spring up in Biafra.
If Biafra gets freedom with Niger Delta, and then Southeast refuses to implement total confederation system to enable each Biafra state and region control its resources and remit a certain percentage to the Biafran central government, there will be another civil war and power tussle between Southeastern parts of Biafra and Southsouthern part of Biafra for another secession.
For Biafra to work and become that great nation Biafran youths desire, there should be lots of planning ahead...there should be signed agreements on how the leadership will be, how resources will be managed and the kind of government to be operated ahead, if not, there will be total disaster in Biafra should the freedom come. its obvious you are a fool |

Abagworo: You are wrong you know. Igbo language is too diverse that you have to be versed in it to understand the names as applied in our hundreds of dialects. In Ngwa dialect "Ikpegh" means money and "azugh" means cannot buy . Literally it translates to "money cannot buy" but culturally it means "incorruptible".
Ezenwo in Ikwerre language means same as Ezenwa in Igbo distinguishable from Ezemati in Ikwerre or Ezenta in Igbo.
Nyesom in Ikwerre language is same as Onyesom in Igbo language and Wike in Ikwerre is same as Nwike in Igbo.
Okowa and Okorocha/Okocha are basically in reference to male specie as used in older Igbo. Oko owa means Nwoke Owa in Igbo of today while Okocha means Nwokeocha in recent Igbo. Oko Owa means an Owa man. Okowa might have links to Owa kingdom of Ika ethnic group as we have such names as Nwangwa or Nworu in Igbo parts. How could that be? Is 'gh' a vowel? How could 'a' in azugh swallow it? BTW, Ikpeazu is a popular surname even in Onitsha so it is wrong to reduce its meaning to Ngwa dialect. The op and chiefobdk offered more acceptable explanation, so stop obfuscating. |

adconline: What a divisive, vindictive and vicious bigot we have as president! No wonder his aides shielded him from public debates. When he talks, he spews vitriolic and venomous hatred unbecoming of a class captain let alone a president. He called all Igbos Biafran agitator. He doesn't even have respect for the likes of Ogbonna Onu who built the party from APP to ANPP to APC? How many times has he adminished his fellows Muslims to abadon BH since by his reasoning, all Muslims are all BH members? Same way he called out Xtians fighting in Naija Army to single-handedly take on BH. Does he know that Igbos are about a quarter of the country while Biafran agitators cannot boast of 200k membership. He has insulted every law abiding Igbo citizen of this country by implying that you are fighting for Biafra simply because you share a geographical location with some of these agitators. May I also remind him that Boko Haram has killed over 200k Nigerians and displaced over 4m Nigerians. He said that military action again BH was an action against the north. Fulani herdsmen have killed thousands of people and he has yet to prosecute anybody while he has instructed police to shoot at any Biafran agitators on the street.. No he only told Igbos forming one nigerianists that they wouldnt be spared in case |

NYSC › Re: Top 10 Most Friendly State To Serve In Nigeria As A Corp Member by Noneroone(m): 8:25am On Sep 13, 2016 |
Doyin400l: Hello Nairalanders, over the years do to my own research I see some state more friendly to corper than the others in terms of social welfare, assistance e.t.c. I will be listing these states based on the friendliness exhibited by the locals toward the wearing of that green "Kaki uniform" of yours, Lol.. Also, for the benefit of the newly incoming Youth corp members a.k.a "Otondo's" so as to guide them and please don't break bottle if your state is not on the list its just my own personal research. The list is itemized below: 1. Osun State: This state is known for it's hospitable nature do to the locals in the state. I remember how corpers were being treated in terms of free ride on your to CDS,PPA. Greetings is also too much like: welcome Corper, good morning Corper, good evening Corper..You will be overwhelmed how you being treated like that your hod in school Lol. 2. Kano State: If you knew Kano very well you will believe me that they love assisting Corper so well. You will drink their " Fura di Nunu " ehn! But please they have rules in terms of their "Nyanriya". You can ask MrPhysics of his Kano experience. 3. Kwara State: The state is also accommodating and welcoming to Corpers do to their Islamic tenet that welcoming visitors is also a part of faith. 4.Ebonyi State: This lovely state came fourth because of its low key life style. They just love welcoming visitors in general and alot of NYSC member can testify to this claim; food stuff might even be given to you for free by the locals. 5. Oyo State: The house of the "oluyole's" is no doubt accommodating and Corper friendly may be is because of their Yoruba accomodating culture..You will be hearing something like: "Brother corper sey wa ok?"..literary means Uncle corper are you ok? 6. Katsina state: Blood of peter! I love Katsina state indigenes oo; As they can give you anything as a Corper member so far you are law abiding and didn't interfered with their religious belief i.e You can ask Dioxidane. 7.Enugu State: The people of the coal city state are very accommodating to the extent that you will not regret serving in their land... Mama Nkiruka will cook their sweet " Okpa di okwu" and give me and other corp members during my Schooling days in 042; chai during their celebration of Easther ,Xmas. You will eat Akpu mixed with Okporoko fish and grasscutter ....Nsukka di ' eje ooo. 8. Kaduna State: Personally KD city is a great state to enjoy your service year do to the mixed religious over there. They are so accommodating to the extent of giving you a free ride anytime you going to CDS. Alhaji Balarabe do send her daughter to give me free foodstuff every week and coupled with free room..Truth be told, Kaduna is sweet. 9. Ondo State: The Agrarian state is a place to enjoy your service year no doubt. Do to their love for education they always love helping you as a corper .Give it a try biko. 10. Feel free to add yours.
Thanks . yorubaman, the problem with you guys is that you are the least travelled yet you like making judgements and comparisons that only travelled and enlightened people make. I've seen many threads from corpers from west who served in East thanking their host state for hospitality yet i havent seen one from west. If you want to know most prefered state s watch out when registration starts and see the states that gets filled up first 'cos if i tell you it is lagos SE and SS u'll argue |

So many people can see that the landmass of some listed countries are actually smaller than geographical Igboland and the countries are doing very great.
Only a fool boasts with landmass cos lands are not equally blessed. Some are large and poor, some are small and very rich in terms of climate, resources and arability. The entire Nigeria is barely bigger than Carlifornia yet carlifornia is better. Algeria is bigger than Nigeria yet 80 percent of it is uninhabitable. |

SpicyJosBabe: For over a decade now, the Niger deltan region has been agitating for increased national allocation from the federal government due to the fact that their region produces much of Nigerian revenue from Oil exploration.
Niger state on the other hand which is a state in the Central region of Nigeria has 2 of the powerful water dams in Nigeria which produces almost all the hydro electric power being used for the whole of Nigeria for so many decades now. Now, another hydro power dam is being built in Mambilla, Taraba state, central Nigeria, and this dam is built to be the largest Hydropower station in Africa which will increase power for the whole Nigeria......
https://www.nairaland.com/3339922/engineers-begin-work-mambilla-hydro-power
The question is that since states in the Niger delta region are getting additional national allocation for their crude oil, what about Niger and Taraba states and their hydro electric power generation for the whole country??
Would they be wrong if they start a similar agitation? keep your hydro power whatever to yourself let the owners of the oil keep it too. Let each manage their resources and generate their own power. Is that difficult? |

Keneking: Those radio stations in Anambra state are mostly owned by Catholic Church.
By 12pm, there is recital of Angelus and at 3pm, you hear divine mercy prayers.
Most of those stations are anti-APC in their political analysis. Issues relating to Biafra are seldom discussed but their sons and daughters held in captivity by Federal are frequently mentioned.
Even their call-in shows are dominated by political controversies against APC led government. They hardly discuss their local problems which affects them ie poor infrastructural developments, corruption, divertion of public funds, agriculture, rural development and environmental concerns.
But where is lalasticlala now? most are registered as private radio stations |
