Whynotthetruth:i didnt say there were promises, i said there were plans to make it a university of education. That wasnt even odera's govt. Whynotthetruth:anything short of upgrading it into a university is not an acheivement. Here u are shamelessly telling me that a governor who controlled billions of naira built bungalow, toilet and few buildings is an acheiver while mbadinuju who established a university is a failure. U said he paid salary arrears, when i bursted it u started claiming that he paid pensions promptly. Is prompt payment of salary and pension suppose to be an achievement? Is it because mbadinuju failed? What would have happened if obi succeded mbadinuju immediately? Whynotthetruth:ngige cleared pension arrears mbadinuju only requested for his pension arrears (in writing) after obi assumed office and obi turned it down b'cos of personal vendetta. Though morally speaking, mbadinuju didnt deserve any payment having called workers dead wood, a governor shouldnt reason like that Whynotthetruth:i just gave u a valid example of enugu, our neigbour. He gave the schools buses but he didnt hire drummers to announce it like obi. He didnt adourn it with his pictures like obi, he didnt even consider it a major project. He didnt hire e-warrior like u who troll from thread to thread to defend him. Obi's dismal performance has left u with a psychic impairment. Which affects ur judgement of what achievement is. |

Ngige already did that before obi came. The only one obi met was those of the staff of the state water coporation. They dragged him to national industrial court and won, he went to the court of appeal and refused to pay them till he left. Obiano has paid more than 60% of the outstanding salaries. If u call hiace bus(which chime also gave to enugu schools) or handing school over to their original owners a project worth being remembered for, then i doubt what u call development. 1 Like |

Months after the seperation of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the founder of Christ Embassy Church and his wife Pastor Anita, the estranged couple have reportedly shared their two children. While Sharon, the eldest, prefers Pastor Chris, Charlene is presently with Anita. Anita had last year April approached a London court, seeking a divorce on the grounds of adultery among several allegations. The suit, number FDI 4001650, was filed on her behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors on April 9, 2014 at the Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, United Kingdom. Pastor Chris was served the divorce letters in his hotel room during one of his visits to the UK. Efforts to reach the camp of Pastor Chris last night proved abortive. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, had then denied the allegations leveled against him by Anita and even threatened to sue media houses for damaging his name and Church. Last September, a statement by his counsel, Kemi Pinheiro (SAN), described the allegation as “wicked and malicious”, and an attempt to bring Pastor Chris “to public opprobrium and ridicule.” Pinheiro said the adultery allegation “currently circulating in the media was nothing but a complete distortion of facts in the pending proceedings in the United Kingdom”. The Department of State Services, DSS, has urged Nigerians to be more vigilant and security conscious in view of the aggressive counter insurgency on-going in the North- Eastern part of the country. In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Marilyn Ogar, the DSS said owing to the sustained onslaught against the terrorists, they had resorted to attacking soft targets. The statement read in full: “It has become evident that following the successful sustained air raids and intense combat operations by the military on insurgents’ positions in the North-East which have effectively degraded the capacity of the terrorists, its members are now in disarray and have resorted to taking out their anger on hapless civilians and soft targets. This development accounts for the recent spate of attacks recorded in Yobe, Kano, Borno and Plateau States with intent of distracting security forces. “Accordingly, this Service wishes to advice members of the public to be vigilant especially in crowded environment and when travelling. Commuters should desist from boarding unmarked vehicles along the road and only use designated Motor parks. We also reiterate our call on motor park managers to ensure proper screening of vehicles, persons and luggage entering their premises. They should also look out for new faces who show up as drivers and conductors. “Similarly, we want to encourage residents of recaptured towns and communities to return to their homes. Also, there is no need for people to relocate from any part of the country because of the forthcoming elections as adequate steps have been taken by security forces to guarantee security of lives and property. “Members of the public with useful information of untoward activities in their localities are advised to forward same to security agencies. The spokesperson of President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has stated that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, has failed to inform his audience in the United Kingdom how he loves the extremist group, Boko Haram. Mr. Buhari spoke at Chatham House in London Thursday where he stated that if elected, he would restore Nigeria’s lost glory. In his reaction via a press statement, Mr. Fani- Kayode said it was amazing that Mr. Buhari refused to participate in a debate in his own country but was ready to go to a foreign country to sell his message in a desperate attempt to curry favour with the people of that country. “We wonder whether General Buhari told his foreign audience whilst he was in London how much he loves Boko Haram,” he said. Boko Haram has been terrorising the people of Nigeria, with reports saying the terrorist group has killed over 13,000 Nigerians since 2009. Mr. Fani-Kayode also said he wondered whether the former head of state told his audience that he once said that he believed that ”an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north” and that the Boko Haram terrorists should be appeased, pampered, resettled and paid allowances. “We wonder if he told them that he was once nominated by Boko Haram to be their spokesman and representative during proposed negotiations with the Federal Government,” he said. The PDP presidential campaign spokesperson said he was surprised Mr. Buhari did not tell his audience that he was the one who ordered and organised the “violent injecting, crating and disgraceful kidnapping of a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the name of Alhaji Umaru Dikko from the streets of London 31 years ago when he was in power”. He said the president’s campaign would express its views about Mr. Buhari’s “stage- managed show of shame at Chatham House at a later date” and, that at that time, more details would be provided. “For now, all we can say is that it is truly pitiful that a former Head of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria believes that it is more important to win the hearts and minds of the British than it is to win the hearts and minds of the Nigerian people. “General Buhari can run to any foreign country in the world to say anything that he likes but at the end of the day the decision as to who will lead Nigeria as from May 29th this year will be determined by no one else but the Nigerian people. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is under a wave of criticism for allegedly sleeping with his son’s wife. Obasanjo was summoned in court in what appears to be a messy divorce between Gbenga Obasanjo, son of the former President, and his estranged wife, Mojisola Olayemisi Amope, with the first son dropping a bombshell on his father’s alleged sexual intimacy with his wife, Moji. The allegation was made by his son Gbenga in a sworn affidavit, submitted to a divorce court. This shocking revelation by his son Gbenga is contained in a sworn affidavit submitted to the court in response to a messy divorce case already in court. Gbenga’s celebrated marriage to Moji, which took place at the Archbishop Vinning Memorial Church, Ikeja, in April, 2000, headed for the rocks barely four years after the lovebirds exchanged marital vows. Gbenga has sensationally accused him and his father-in-law, Otunba Alex Onabanjo, of sleeping with his wife, Mojisola Gbenga, presently asking Lagos High Court to dissolve the seven-year-old marriage, doubts the paternity of the fruits of the wedlock. Moji had allegedly deserted her matrimonial home on 2 December, 2004 and never returned until this messy divorce battle that is bound to ruffle many feathers. The petitioner avers that he knows for a fact that the respondent committed adultery with and had an intimate, sexual relationship with, General Olusegun Obasanjo, in order to get contracts from the government. “The petitioner avers that the Respondent also got rewarded for her adulterous acts with several oil contracts with the NNPC from his father, General Olusegun Obasanjo, amongst which was the NNPC Consultancy training in supply chain management and project management awarded to her company Bowen and Brown. “The petitioner avers that lurid sexual relationship of the Respondent with her own father, Otunba Alex Onabanjo and his father General Olusegun Obasanjo, has brought him great pain and psychological trauma and is the primary reason for the breakdown of his marriage to the Respondent. The case has been adjourned while the judge considers a request from Gbenga Obasanjo’s wife, Mojisola. Contracts Mojisola, who claims her husband was violent to her, has asked that the proceedings continue in private. As part of divorce proceedings, Gbenga Obasanjo alleges that his wife slept with his father in order to get government contracts. All the while, the former president has kept silent on the subject. Despite the lurid allegations and the shock that they have actually been made public, the real concern for many Nigerians is less the alleged sex life of their former president, but the failure of his administration to deliver basic services. In the most damaging investigation to date, a house of representatives panel has been asking what happened to the $13bn (£6.6bn) Mr Obasanjo’s government spent on power in his eight years in office – given that there is still a crippling lack of electricity in Nigeria.
