Chino48: our two years old son will vote WMO..haha...another unlawful registration. We are watching. |
They think its a lie.God may just give Ngige that seat on a platter www.vanguardngr.com/2013/10/alleged-double-registration-ekwunife-may-replace-obiano/ |
Whenever you keep hearing "a close source who pleaded anonmity" then it is a sponsored news. |
bad meat: Xmas!please we celebrate Christmas not Xmas. Christ is the reason for the season! |
bestviewer: ^Hahahahaha...guy you will excel in comedy. Tony Nwoye is more on ground in Anambra North than Obiano. That is why gov peter Obi is having malaria right now in Israel, |
That means more trouble for APGA! |
@op, please who composed that Ngige campaign song? Please tell them to play it more often. If the song could make my sisters change their minds in favour of Ngige i wonder what will happen to an average voter. The last time a campaign song stole my heart was in 2003 from Chimaroke. |

I heard that in the news. The commissioner for information said on silverbird " i ordered them to remove it in my capacity as the chairman of willie Obiano campaign organisation" You can imagine! |
It is easier to read a different meaning out of an article, especially when one has a pre-concieved notion. While not denying that in some cases Igbos across the Niger tend to deny their Igboness, it is also important that we put facts straight. From little experience i have, i know that the word "Igbo" has more than one meaning: 1- It can mean a group of people living chiefly in southern Nigeria. As in Igbo, Igbos, ndigbo. 2- It can also mean the language or culture of this people. As in 'he speaks Igbo' 3-the word is also used by Anioma people (including onitsha) to mean the rest of the Igbos. As in umu Igbo, Nwa onyigbo (used by onitsha indigens to describe other Igbos) It is obvious that the third explanation of Igbo is the one used in this story and not that they are not Igbos according to my first meaning. For those denying their Igboness, or the Yorubas who feel the only way to have a sense of security is by hyping this identity crisis, my advice is that you do not need to say you aren't Igbo for one to no you are not one. If you are Igbo you are Igbo! The mere fact of your existence confers on you this social identity. It is better you extricate yourselves from identity crisis or forever remain "neither here nor there" |
Arrest, Prosecute Obiano Now – APC The news that the name of Chief Wilie Obiano appears twice in the voter register of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Voter Register is a sad commentary on the quality of candidature that the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has thrown into the rings in a contest involving men who should ordinarily live another board. We hereby demand the apprehension of Chief Willie Obiano for this criminal offence and full-scale investigations into charges by INEC and all security agencies, with a view to applying the full weight of the Electoral Law as spelt out in Section 12, Subsection 2 and 3 of the Electoral Act 2010, as amended. The cited sections read as follows: (2) No person shall register in more than one registration centre or register more than once in the same registration centre. (3) Any person who contravenes the provisions of subsection (2) of this section commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding N100,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or both. It is extremely worrisome that at a time when we thought that standards and moral standing of men and women who offer themselves to serve in public office have risen for good, the nation is faced with an embarrassing situation where a candidate who wishes to lead a state as complex and dynamic as Anambra State has turned out to be a common criminal. We are convinced that if APGA, a wing of PDP, as presently constituted had broad-based structures covering at least the entire South East Nigeria, and was properly run as a political party, instead of a closet store, the latest incident would have come to light before the primaries. Beyond the criminal nature of this sad occurrence, it is also noteworthy that one of the six candidates who were disqualified before the stage-managed primaries in which an Obiano was handpicked by his business partner was supposedly axed for not being in possession of an INEC voter’s card. Once again we, demand on behalf of Anambra State voters and the nation a thorough and professional and speedy investigation to into the APGA candidate’s double registration saga. The story sounds unbelievable indeed. However i dont believe it is false. It could be a toy gun. |
[/quote] gleaf: Ngige you are the clueless one! tell us how you will provide security for us not what your opponent is wearing ! you ran away from the state after been kidnapped and was operating from other neigbouring states leaving us to rot in the mess you created with your criminal gang.In politics, you tell the people why they should vote you and convince them why not to vote your opponent. |
University college Ibadan was established in 1948 as a university college affiliated to the university of london. From 1948 to around 1962 it was awarding london degrees. Therefore it was just an extention of university of london. But the university of Nigeria Nsukka was established as an autonomous university in 1960 . 'University college Ibadan' only became a full fledge university around 1963 with the name 'university of Ibadan'. UNN is often considered the first. |

Engineering just takes a lot of to get into d industry ....but when u r in enjoymentHave you ever wondered why the most preferred disciplines come from the social sciences every year according to jamb records? wesley80: You must be a mowron to think a jeep can buy the conscience of Igwe Achebe, FYI Igwe Achebe worked and retired as a senior executive with Shell Nigeria and is not as hungry as you are to be impressed but an ordinary jeep.Whether his action is influenced by the jeep or not, my point is that the royal father has been acting pro-apga lately. Surely this is not difficult to undestand. |
Wow I am not suprised at the Obi 's outburst. Ngige may have been wrong by fixing such grand rally on such a day. However, the monarch through his actions and utterances has lately shown that he is not neutral. Firsty, all the traditional rulers are said to have collected jeeps from gov. Obi in this election year. Moreover, he has appeared on many occasions where gov. Obi assured him with other traditional rulers that the next governor was going to come from his region (Anambra north). And i ask is that type of discuss suppose to involve political stakeholders or royal fathers? Since then he has openly expressed his support for apga and obiano instead of being a royal father and he even admitted it in this post. The inscription on the placard carried by the so called Onitsha youths and the fact that gov. Obi was the first to hail the monarchs anti-APC comments show that the whole saga has more to do with Anambra politics than direspect for the Onitsha traditional stool. I still think that Ngige should have shifted the event but the Obi of Onitsha whom i respect so much has greatly dissapointed me. |
gleaf: I don't understand the caliber of people in this nairaland especially the commenters on Anambra issue, YES! I don't support Ngige (not APC) and I don't see any reason any reasonable Nigerian that wants us to grow as a country will support him.Na wao the same old story ... * yawns*... |
Mumu op. Despite obi sponsored text messages telling the people that it had been postponed coupled with the rain, the turn out was fantastic. |
honeric01: Pillars can still win one of the 2 away matches and also win @ lokoja just like today. (Coward) Enyimba was looking for free points even while losing @ Kano. Now you can all see Kano pillars would have still whooped Enyimba even if it was played in Lagos. The league title is the ultimate and pillars havent won anything yet remember. |

kingbang: When Agbogidi speaks, Onicha Ado listens. Keep on deceiving yourself but come November 16, your eyes go open....And you think 90% of Onitsha residents are indigenes eh? Think twice. |
People who believe this article (from a Ghanian website) are just as daft as the article! |
