PoliticsRe: Obi Wasted N2tr Of Anambra Funds - Dr Ngige by Noneroone(m): 11:54pm On Sep 16, 2013
It baffles me how some people can be stoopid in judgement. The truth is that Obi govt has failed in all the sectors. In the education sector, most of the schools dont have enough teachers or when has handing school over to mission become achievement. In sports, he construted a mock stadium which is worst than the ancient olympic stadium constructed about 500AD in Athens. In road construction, he has done more than Ngige but the problem is that before he finishes a kilometer , the begining of the road starts begging for reconstruction. In water supply, he scrapped the water corporation and began to sink wells. Infact in one of the towns, their well was so bad that the drillers used tanker truck to fill the well with water during midnight so that the people could draw water in the morning. In health sector, he constructed a teaching hospital under high tension cable in Awka without medical officials, for almost a year doctors went on strike, instead of resolving it, he politicized it. In security, owners of investments have fled the state for fear of being kidnapped while sub standard vehicles and gunpowers are being supplied to vigilante to fight kidnappers with machine guns. In social security, he just remembered to start recruiting workers 6 months to the end of his 8 yrs stay in office. In political infrastructure, he has also remembered to conduct LG elections after 7 and half yrs and yet nobody is sure wether it will hold. This being the greatest fault he found in Ngiges govt. Everything his govt does is sub standard even vehicles! Infact let me end here to avoid more anger.

CareerRe: Linguistics And Mass Communication: Which Is The Better Course? by Noneroone(m): 10:25am On Sep 15, 2013
Trottle: embarassed embarassed Bros i ain't sayin that it is not a good course but that is not what nigeria need now and its opportunity is limited ,but never compare it with mass communication. Many student are just studying it for study sake. If with connection, where do you want to work in nigeria; become a primary school teacher? Pol. Sci is not what we need in naija. "People neva belleful, na one kain political thinking you go dae do. naija no be abroad", am sure its not pol. Sci you intend to study but you were flung there. And even trying to be defensive?i attend a state school so don't go there. And be civil when interacting.
undecided
I saw where you were headed to the moment you started but you denied it. Now that you have decided to unmask yourself, i know you better as one of those who harbour prejudices for a decipline after failing to gain admission to study it. Your inclusion of political science (of all disciplines) even in an unrelated issue attests to this. Even if i judge your first comment on its own merit, it will still be found guilty in the court of common sense. This is because social science disciplines have different entry requirments in SSCE hence while Pol science may emphasize govt & econs, Economic emphasize econs & govt&maths. Mass comunications, even where it has the priviledge of being housed in social science faculty still emphasize english language and literature. Therefore no school, even irresponsible ones like your own, will "port" students to other departments without meeting the minimum rquirements. Moreover, political science, by its very nature, has most of its students as male while mass comm has almost ninety per- cent female. How then can a female who cannot sail down the easy cliff of mass comm "port" to start climbing the hills of political science. Your insinuations that political science is irrelevant stinks of naivety and ignorance which is unbecoming of an individual of your status. Political scientists have wide range of employment opportunities ranging from local government administration, administrative offices both in state and federal government (which constitute the core of civil service), foreign or diplomatic service such as ministry of foreign affairs or international organisations, military, para-militery and other security agencies. Also electoral commissions and political parties. The exclusion of political scientists in the last (political parties) contributes to political decay, but with time, things will be put in order. Political science is a wide field of study which encompasses political theory, international relations, public administration, political economy, comparative goverment, political behaviour among others. I dare say that that mass comm is no bigger than or more relevant than any of these individual sub-fields not to talk of political science as a discipline. I don't intend to derail the thread provided it is limited to its topic.
CareerRe: Linguistics And Mass Communication: Which Is The Better Course? by Noneroone(m): 11:31am On Sep 14, 2013
Trottle: . I admit that mass comm student (even in my school I inclusive) are always many at 100 LEVEL but they are filtered and the unsuitables are usually ported to political science.
If you really mean mass com is now comparable to political science, then it is a sign of . . .END. . .TIME. . .TINZ

Christianity EtcRe: Did God Create People Before Adam And Eve? by Noneroone(m): 5:10pm On Sep 12, 2013
This is my humble opinion. Many things which we consider important in this age were not important then. If not for the story of Diana, per-haps we wouldn't have known that Jacob had other female children. In jewish traditions, counting of females was not a popular culture. Therefore some extra biblical authorities recorded that Adam had other female children which were not recorded in the bible and that cain married her sister.

bakynes: PDP Crisis is clearly a battle of Power btw the core North and SS. SE hoping he will hand over power in 2019. I pray APC takes advantage of this crisis to win the hearts of the People even though we are practising Regional politics in this country.SE/SS will never vote for APC while SW,NE,NW will vote for APC depending dats if the PDP fails to resolve the dispute btw themselves and definitely the MB votes will be divided among the two parties.Either way let us prepare our minds if this current crisis is nt resolved,Nigeria might split come 2015
Sw will never vote for APC, most of them will vote for PDP because yoruba hates Buhari more than Igbo does.

P.Stacks:
Look! I'm a bonafied Nigerian and I seriously believe in the Project "Nigeria" but we keep having problems with the Managers of the Project called Nigeria.. Not till we have a superb and wonderful Project Manager to Manage the affairs of Nigeria, we are going nowhere..

Before Development, you must talk Leadership, in the interest on Nigeria, let me lecture you a Bit..

We have Older Generation Politicians..

North: IBB, Buhari, Abdulsalami..

South/West: Obasanjo, Bisi Akande,

South/East: Ojukwu (Of Blessed Memory) and south south, maybe Edwin Clark.

Then the modern day Politicians,

South West: Tinubu, Fashola, Aregbesola, Oshioleh and co.

South south: GEJ, Rotimi Amechi, Wike Nysome, and co..

North: Kwankwaso, Babangida Aliyu, Sule Lamido..

My Point: even the south west young politicians (Fashola and Aregbesola) all still respect Obj..

GEJ is no match for the younger South west leaders, Fashola and aregbesola and co, not to talk of Obasanjo their Father.. Go and ask, Aregbesola and Fashola would gladly worship Obj with no remorse.. Forget PDP or APC..

When you talk of leadership, Awolowo, Fela Kuti, Obasanjo, Fashola, Aregbesola,... These side of nigeria is blessed with them..

I'm not a tribalist, but the truth must be told.

Obasanjo is a world class "African" leader. As a local politiian, he's a champion, internationally, he is reckoned with.. You are wrong to accuse me of tribalism cos I show my love for obasanjo...

I love Amechi, I love Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, I love Aliko Dangote, these people are Nigerians and not my Tribe..

Its not my fault if I'm from the best tribe in Nigeria.. I didn't put myself there.

In as much as I like the mutual existence of nigeria, I'm not also afraid of its dis-integration, cos I know say my people no go carry last.
world class African leeader? I have not heard that before.

pro01: Smh. That's like a woman who was râped by an armed robber in the presence if her husband. . . .only for her to later claim that the armed robber 'satisfied' her in bed more than her lawful husband, and thereafter purport to divorce her husband in order to marry the armed robber. Surely, this is an unrealistic and unreasonable scenario.

Ngige is an election robber and a political râpist, period. It would amount to the most bizarre form of Stockholm Syndrome for the Anambra electorate to clamour for his return as governor. In any case, I'm not sure he 'satisfied' Anambrarians during the 3-year-long râpe compared to the lawfully wedded husband (Peter Obi), so there is no reason to have fond memories of a tragic past event.
You remind me of the story of Saul and David. The first, tall handsome man annointed king over israel, the second, a poor shepherd boy. Saul, the legitimate ruler disobeyed God and finally subverted the sovereignty of God by visiting the witch at endor. God later chose, and indeed, annointed David because he was obedient and humble. In that connection, the people represent God in the present age. While the 'lawfully wedded husband' obi, has diobeyed the people as saul did to God and, even undermined popular sovereignty (or have you forgotten the mysterious 22000 votes that were recorded for Akunyili during senatorial election in 2011?) now it appears the people want the 'political rapppist' in place of their 'lawful husband' and such is a decision that men of goodwill should not question, bearing in mind that the voice of the people is the voice of God. I know if you were during the time of David, you would have claim David never 'satisfied' God, (as you just claimed regarding Ngige) simply because there is no truth in politics. P A T H E T I C.!

pro01: Come to think of it, certified election-riggers such as Ngige who have been found to be usurpers of electoral mandates by competent law courts should be barred from contesting future elections. I know this is off-topic but it is a point that deserves consideration.
Come to think of it he later became more popular than the man he purportedly stole his mandate. I know this is off-topic but such an irony deserves attention!
