The only clearly muslim dominated LGAs in Taraba are Ibi, Gassol, Jalingo, Bali.
Jalingo n Gassol are dominated by fulani muslims, Bali dominated by Jibu muslims and Ibi by Hausa/Jukun muslims.

I know many of you liars will claim Ardo-kola, Gashaka and Sardauna as muslim dominated, but that is senseless. These 3 LGAs are at most 50/50 religiously.

Fulanis may have the largest ethnicity in Ardo kola, but the combination of Jukun Kona, Mumuye, Yandang and other christian tribes equal them or even outnumber them.
Mambilla people remain the majority tribe in Sardauna and they are dominantly christians.


Now, let us count the clearly christian dominated LGAs.

Yorro, Zing, Lau, Karim lamido, Wukari, Takum, Donga, Ussa, Kurmi.

Wukari, Donga, Takum and Ussa are overwhemingly dominated by Jukun, Kuteb and Tiv christians.

Yorro, Zing and parts of Lau heavily dominated by Mumuye christians.

Kurmi is dominated by Tigon, Ndola and other smaller christian tribes.
Fulanis may be the single largest ethnic group in Lau but they cannot match the combination of Kona, Mumuye, Yandang and other christian groups.

In Karim lamido, Wurukun are the single largest ethnic group and are dominantly muslims with a significant christian minority, but by the time you include the Jenjo, Karimjo and other dozens of smaller ethnic groups there, the christians clearly outnumber the muslims.

This is my analysis! Bring yours let us see.

And your perceived 35% muslims of total taraba population is a joke for the ages!

Kona is a jukun subtribe which sometimes identifies as a distinct identity, likewise Ichen, Wapan, Kpanzu, Jibu (Jibawa) and others.

Jibawa are also Jukun Jibu and they were highly islamized, so about half of them are muslims. They are the dominant tribe in Bali & Gashaka LGAs.

genieluv may not be wrong with her 35% though, it's possible, considering the increased immigration of muslims into the state over the years, but i think muslims should be about 30% in the state.

I wonder if you know anything about Gombe State, concerning their religious composition that is. I tried to look the stats up but Google wasn't returning much info.

I know that Tangale are the majority there, most of whom are Christians, I believe. At least, all the ones I've met or know are.

Makes me wonder how come the Fulanis, who are said to be in the minority, dominate them.

There is a hausa-fulani muslim population agenda in Taraba & Adamawa states and this agenda is to populate the areas with muslims from other states and even countries.

Can't you see that the governor sacked some fulani district heads in the state last year? What were they doing? They were busy allocating the lands of Taraba indigenes to Hausa- fulani immigrants from Zamfara, Jigawa e.t.c.

Originally, muslims were just like 25% or less of Taraba state, but now they are around 35% .

Gombe state should be something around 60% muslims or slightly less.
Fulanis are the majority tribe, followed by Tangale, Waja, Terawa, Bolewa and many other smaller tribes.

The Tangale n Waja are predominantly christians, Terawa are like 50/50, bolewa are dominantly muslims while the other dozen smaller groups like Banbuka, Pero, Cham, Wurukun e.t.c are predominantly christians.

And please, fulanis do not dominate Gombe politically, but muslims do, the current governor is Terawa by tribe and not fulani, the previous governor was Jukun pindiga by tribe and i think the first civilian governor was likely Bolewa by tribe, or maybe fulani.

Tangale or Waja always produce the deputy governor, deputy speaker, almost everything deputy. Lol This is because they have failed to unite themselves as Southern gombe people just as southern kaduna people did, instead they prefer fighting over 2nd class status (deputy governor or Senatorship of Gombe south).

No Nigerian will ever argue that majority of our people are dark skinned, buh the dark skinned definition varies from normal dark skin (which you guys identify as chocolate to extremely dark skin which you guys identify as normal dark skin). Nobody will deny this!

Another thing is that, most Nigerians in Kenya are of poor backgrounds. Rich or middle class Nigerians hardly leave Nigeria to another African country except on schooling or business purposes!
Now, we all know that poorer people in Africa tend to get exposed to the sun day n night and hardly take care of themselves, so of course, they will look darker than those from rich/middle class homes who are always in the air- conditioned comfort of their homes or offices.

Tell that foolish mtis to post one or one pictures or group selfies of rich/middle class Nigerians in comfortable settings and let's what the outcome will be.

And you are right about poorer africans or people more exposed to the sun.
Take for instance my maternal grandmother who used to be a rural farmer in the extremely hot northern Nigerian sun. Whenever she leaves her farming to come n spend the holidays with us, you will instantly observe that as she no longer goes into the sun to farm daily, her complexion will just start brightening over time and she will leave lighter than she came and only to come back the next holidays darker.

Don't you know that when a random camera takes pictures from a farther distance, differences in skin tones between people of the same race becomes highly blurred?

If i take a distance photo of Italians and Norwegians, you will not be able to tell the difference! But when you meet them closely and look at them very well, the difference becomes clearer enough

The southern Europeans are mostly of Olive white skin tone while the northern & western Europeans are of pale white and ghostly pale white skin tones.

Back then during colonial America, Southern European immigrants in America were not classified as whites at first, cos they were not white enough according to the standards of western & northern Europeans. It was many years/decades later they finally got classified as whites.

Whites also differentiate themselves heavily by being blonde, brunette & raid-haired. Or better still by being blue-eyed, green-eyed or brown/black eyed.
You are not from a white community, so you may not know this. I have followed white debates and interractions on skin tones a lot.

This observation about difference in definition of skin tones among Nigerians and Kenyans is something i've long realized but i just don't have the luxury of educating Kenyans.

What we identify as chocolate skin tone is what Kenyans identify as fair or light skin tone. Though, not just Kenyans though, many other Africans make this silly mistake.

For instance, i bet Kenyans here will identify me as a light skinned guy from my profile pic. But far away from that, i am of caramel or chocolate skin tone. Infact, in the black american community, i don't think i will even meet the definition of Caramel skin. I might outrightly be classified as dark skin.

Look at these 3 guys below for instance, this is a good and somewhat standard definition of Dark, Caramel & Light skinned.

You have to look at Swahili people like Dominicans, a group of people who are a mixture of Africans, Natives & Europeans. Some Dominicans identify with their African roots whilst others identify more with their European or native roots but at the end of the day they're all Dominicans.
So, let's take Mombasa for example, you have the Twelve Tribes (Native Swahilis), Swahilized Africans & Swahilized Arabs. Naturally the Arab Swahili will identify more with Arabia then a Swahili Pokomo-Kenyan but they're both Swahili connected by their mother tongue language, culture and beliefs.

That was the simple lazy breakdown but the Swahili coast is a little more intricate than that.

I'm a Swahili from Tanzania and what I have noticed is the Kenyan Swahilis have a more well defined Swahili identity than the Tanzanian ones, I think they might be more Arabized as well but I'm rambling
