Cultures exists very much in Kenya, maybe not as much as some would like but every society is different, just because you do it in a certain way doesnt mean its the only way... For example, The founding father of Tanzania promoted unity of language, as a result, Tanzanian did away with 80% of indeginous language and traditional cultures in favor of Swahili..... Tanzania is as African as Africa can get. Today Tanzania is one of the most peaceful countries in Africa... While countries like Nigeria and Kenya still fight along ethnic and tribal lines........


It is a misconception that large ethnic groups don't promote their cultures, the minority ethnic tribes work extra hard to promote their cultures because they see the big tribes already dominating in every aspect of art,music and culture...So the minority groups take promoting their cultures extra serious, some tribes in Kenya are too small they are on the verge of going extinct!
In the big cities the main ethnic tribes usually have annual music and food festivals like Luo night(ohangla music), Mughithi for Kikuyus, I have forgoten the nake for kalenjin, there is also Mulembe night for Kambas... and many more...

Our different past kingdoms and empires had indigenous cloth weavers, dyers and embroiders. We made clothes in pre-colonial times.

Many tribes/ languages in Nigeria are also going extinct or have already gone extinct due to Hausanization and perhaps Yorubanization, pidginization. So, it's not strange, afterall we are the ethnically most diverse nation in Africa with about 350 ethnic groups.

This is beautiful, we know that the Coastal swahili, some Nilotic and Cushitic minorities in Kenya try their best to promote their cultures, but they are in a minority in Kenya!

In Nigeria, we have hundreds of ethnic groups and i can show you the advanced traditional attires and annual traditional festivals of each of these ethnic groups, one after the other.

We have developed cultures from our ancestral cultures unique to all Nigerians which no single ethnic groups in Nigeria can lay claim over.

Apart from that, you find our cultures in almost everything we do, from our music to our movies to news broadcasting, to parliamentary sittings, to international conferences, to our churches, to almost everything. Heck we still have our traditional rulers, kings, kingdoms in tact.

7. Every community has a functional hospital or clinic, not just lagos and Abuja . The biggest hospital in the world is found in a Township called Soweto serving the whole southern african region.

8.- Even a child whose parents are not employed or earn minimum wage(the highest in the continent by the way) qualifies for a monthly child grant until the age of 18. There is free lunch in every public school. We don't have begging children here or child maids like you.

-Every old person over the age of 60 years qualifies for a social grant.
- every disabled person qualifies for a social grant, we don't oppress or laugh at them . We take care of their basic needs and we have homes for them , orphans and old people.

I could go on the whole day , talking about the benefits of being a SA citizen but let me give you a chance to tell us what your taxes do in Nigeria? Where is the oil money going ?

I will not deny the fact that some of the things you listed here are not found in Nigeria, however we are beginning to develop all these things.

The national housing mortgage system is now being introduced into Nigeria where you can own a good and comfortable house for a very small amount of money from the begining (for just about 100 dollars).

Feeding primary school students has been launched and kicked off in some Nigerian states.

Our government schools which are also scott- free to SS3 (12th grade) have also seen drastic improvement in most states.
Our university tuition is also as good as free, i paid only 50 dollars per session in my university! And upon that, i received annual bursary payments! Most Nigerian students are embursed annually.

Nigerians are not taxed heavily like most other countries like yours where people are even taxed for the air they breathe, this to a large extent has made our cost of living very very cheap compared to other african countries.

I will look for the picture of my family house in a northern Nigerian village for you and you will see that the road at the front of the house is tarred. Many Nigerian villages and towns have tarred roads, but i won't argue the fact that many more are not tarred.

The decades of military rule in Nigeria destroyed the progress of Nigeria and set us decades backwards in development and this is why we are where we are today. However, since the return of democracy, a lot of improvements have been recorded and many more are on track!
You can see the new world class cities and islands being built in Nigeria from the scratch! This is to tell you we are not joking! We are working very hard to recover from the wasted and destroyed years of the military era. This is why we do not have the time or like to engage in flexing muscles with other countries.
