I understood what you meant but didn't take the case that far as it regard forming alliance with minority groups. Forming alliance with minority groups is the most difficult, considering the fear of the minority groups. But truth must be said here, that it will be a herculean task fighting against all sides of Nigeria. Yes, Amharic is the dominant language in Addis. There are 9 ethnic regions in Ethiopia. All most all those regions can speak Amharic along side their own multi languages. During emperor Menelik II expansion to the SW, S and SE in the 19th century, most of the inhabitants were forced to speak Amharic and to change their culture to the Amhara culture(changing their name to Amhara name for example). That is why Amhara culture and language can be seen widely in Ethiopia.

I don't know the percentages, but most of the Oromos can speak Amharic, because of the reasons I stated to you above.

Yes, Amharic is mostly used other than other languages for inter-ethnic communication. Amharic is used as a working language on a federal level.

Heck, many South Africans and other Africans still come to Nigeria on 'religous pilgrimage' . Nigeria has the biggest and most influential religious institutions in Africa.

Recently, Nigeria has started investing heavily on Agriculture and industrialization.

Living in Kano, the only thing you really have to fear is religious extremism. As long as you live in a high or high middle class neighbourhood or close to the barracks in Kano, you have absolutely no fear.

Living in Ibadan for a non-yoruba is almost the same as Kano in terms of language because you almost must learn how to speak yoruba to survive in Ibadan. Many educated yoruba people will choose just not to speak English with you, even when they know that you don't speak yoruba. You never know if you will fall victim of Soka forest people or the charms of your neighbours. Infact, you dont sleep at night if you argue, quarrel or dare a yoruba by day. You guys are also not very welcoming to strangers (especially if they dont speak yoruba). Yahoo boys and scammers are on the loose in IB. What about the robbery and cultism? These are not issues in Kano or Northern cities as such.

First, Addis Ababa is an amharic word but owned by Oromos themselves. If you want to speak any language, u are free. Amharic is a working language. You are never obliged to only use Amharic, any Oromos speak Oromiffa in Addis, you can come and watch.

The Amharas don't own Addis Ababa. Addis is a federal state independent from any ethnic regions. The Amharas did once occupied it, but during the Oromo population movements(from mid 16th to early 19th century), the Oromos conquered it. Now, it's an independent federal state.

When i saw pictures of Abidjan city for the first time, i knew that there will still be hope for West Africa eventually Nigeria fails.

Abidjan can clearly compare Lagos in terms of infrastructure and Abidjan is no longer the capital of Ivory coast anymore. Yamousoukro is now the capital and that city is developing almost as fast as Abuja. Like Abuja, the city was planned from the beginning.

Accra on the other hand is just like Benin or Ibadan in Nigeria

Axum Civilization started at small areas of present day Eritrea and Tigray region(Ethiopia). At it's peak, it's territory included as far as present day Beja and Adulis(the oldest port on Red Sea) to the north, Kunamma, Tekeza river and Mero(Sudan) to the west and strait of Bab-el-Mandeb(Yemen) to southeast.

The Tigray ethnic groups emerged during the decline of Axum. Axum completely ended in the mid 12 century. After this, the Zagwe(Agew) dynasty and Solomonic dynasties came. During the Abyssinia Empire(1270-1974), there was only one Tigray emperor(Yohannes IV).

Amharas and Tigrays are Agew/Semitic people, who lost their partial Agew identity. Their identities are is a mix of Agew and Semitic identity.
