To be honest, I have nothing against Kenyans, but I just wonder why they enjoy bragging about their 3rd world country. All of Africa share a 3rd world status and until we can catch up with the rest of the world, we shouldn't be bragging to each other. Rather, we should be in this together.

Kenyans have a strong self esteem issue and I hope they get help sooner.

English is the language of business...and most country are trying to learn it. In Kenya we have kiswahili as national language and English more as the official language. That is why Nairobi attract global companies - and nobody is heading to TZ - except for minning or tourism.

In most modern countries that is certainly not allowed. Trump had to resign all his positions to assume office. In Kenya this was not the case until some Ndegwa commission allowed public servant to engage in private business - the lines btw private and public sector to be blurred. Public servants should NOT be allowed to do private business. There will just be a lot of conflicts. Kenya public servants are amongst the continent richest from such conflict of interest and outright corruption.

For the records, Nigeria has 350 ethnic groups. So, Kenya is not more ethnically diverse than Nigeria. Just that regionalism helped to classify different Nigerian ethnic groups together and people bore a regional identity.
The British created Hausa, Yoruba & Igbo as 3 major ethnic groups and lumped all minorities under one of them.

Kenya's problems are extreme corruption and nothing else.

A lot of Oromo history has been eroded/distorted by centuries of demonization by Abyssinian rulers, court historians and monks. Dont know if you know this but Oromos have always been the check against Abyssinian/ Aksumite expansion to the south for the past 2,000 years, much to the irk of Ethiopians/Abyssinians. Which they are still doing now by protesting the expansion of Addis into Oromiya. Its quite an old confrontation. Things were possibly the same as they are now even 1,000 years ago, confrontation-wise.

Came across some descriptions/depictions of Oromos from ancient Abyssinian rulers, noblemen and clergy and it was quite nasty. Ethiopian clergymen used to say Oromos emerged from water and were therefore not as 'evolved' as Amharas. One Abyssinian historian named Alaqa Taye claimed Oromos originated from Madagascar and Asia and entered Africa via Mombasa from where they moved North.
An Abyssinian monk called Bahrey wrote the following in his book The History of the Galla in words clearly meant to stir hatred against Oromos:


Sources show Oromos have always been in that extensive region for millenia, even earlier that Habishas as per some sources. The Oromia regions of the upper Nile were often referred to as Punt, Cush (Kush), or Ethiopia. Some pillars that Oromos used to create their Calendar System were discovered in northern Kenya which were dated to around 300 B.C! Oromo's would definitely count as one of the longest lasting victims of prejudice whose history has been too distorted by foreign forces that their role in ancient civilization may be hard to trace. For me I strongly believe that there was a middle eastern migration into Igbo land. Some Igbos of today could actually be of Jewish origin, but I'm sure they would be a minority.
