Nearly all slums have electricity. There is no place in kenya that get less or more power. Each part of kenya has electricity. Despite being largely rural - kenya electricification rate is world best - and now nearly 70% of kenyans have electricity 24-7. Both rural or urban.

Finally Nigeria can use 2,000MW of power and supply it to nearly everyone 24-7 - most households cannot use even 1KWh (I unit) per day -- and if Nigeria has average household of 6 people - divided by 180 - you're talking 30M households.

30M household requires say each 200MW (because of poverty - they only require it for lights+TV+small electronis) - so do the maths - and you realize - you don't need 12,000MW or 30,000MW - unless you're doing heavy minning like South Africa.

Just do 30M * 200MWH/1000MW in 24hrs- and you will discover Nigeria does NOT need a lot of power - you need less than 10,000MW to light the whole of Nigeria - but right now you've got 12,000MW that are lying idle or derelict or completely broken down. And the little that get turned on..nobody pays for it...so power companies are bankrupt...and turbines are rusting away.

Are you so dumb not to consider the thousands of industries that use power supply?
