Biafra rep: All well meaning Igbos on nairaland should as a matter of urgency call Chino and his ilks to order, or declare them persona non Grata. why is Chino so obsessed with Anambra? Spyder opened a thread on the beauty of Enugu to the admiration and pride of all Igbos yet Chino came with evil intention to damage that thread, now he is trying to do same with Imo! every state in Igboland contributes in making us great. Any more insult from him on Imo will be met with equal venom on his state. Those who live in glass house should not throw stones, I equally have enough diatribes in my arsenal that would cast a pal of opprobrium on him and his entire state, though I would not want to do that because I am pan Igbo and wont like to wash our dirty linen in public but my patience is at the very tip of the cliff. Abagworo: Frankly, the level of hatred shown by many Anambrians on Nairaland against Imo indigenes is noticeable even by non-Igbos. Nothing from Imo goes without condemnation from you or Chino and yet when I tell you that we ain't same people you'll be arguing .

pazienza: Ogidi-idemili,the name of our founder is Ogidi, who was a son of a man named inwelle,inwelle was the son of ezechumagha so,we call our town,Ogidi-inwelle,we don't really know where inwelle and his father ezechumagha came from,but unlike some stupid people,we don't go around creating silly stories to fill in that gap. But my grandfather told me that Ogidi was a troublesome strong man,he would often fight with anybody he met on his way to our present location,but when he met the founder of Obosi town,they fought for days and none of them won,so they made a covenant that their descendands should never fight each other,and they became friends thereafter.

My conclusion is that you have lost it, you can't know more about the tradition and culture of owa,than the Obi of Owa,the obi had long made his stance known,he upheld his nshi ancestory, nobody is denying you your bini ancestory,rather what we are saying is that,youcan stay in owa,as long as you are aware that owa belongs to nri,and anyday you get tired of living in an nri domain,you can pack your things and go back to bini, no love lost,no love found. odumchi: You're right, in a way. I wouldn't call what Flavour speaks mainstream Anambra, but both the Anambra and Enugwu pieces are present in his speech. At best, it can be described as a mixture of both.

odumchi: Flavour speaks a dialect from somewhere in Enugwu and not Onicha. Most Enugwu dialects say "ife" while a minority say "ihe". For example, to say "I don't know", Flavour would say "amahu m", whereas an Onicha speaker would say "amaro m".



Today's Standard Igbo is closest to the Igbo spoken in the Orlu-Okigwe-Umuahia axis of Imo and Abia states, even though Onicha dialect is said to be the most intelligible of the Igbo dialects.

Afam4eva: Peter Obi should learn from Enugu's Sullivan Chime. Those projects are atrocious to the eyes. Is that what he has been doing in Anambra state? A State with so much human and natural resources like Anambra should be ruled by people like Soludo and not laid back people like Obi.

Afam4eva: I think Enugu government should think of developing a new city in the outskirts of Enugu that will house skyscrapers and business districts. That will give Enugu an International feel and put it on a pedestal to compete with other cities in the world.

chidyhels: Been long i watched the state local Tv station. I tuned in today and saw the advertisement of the state emergency dail '112' . I dailed to confirm and the answering machine picked up instantly,i droped immediately cos there isnt any emergency yet and i didnt want to create a false alarm.
So i want to know if any1 has used it,in and around Anambra State,how quick was their response to the emergency on ground.

abagoro: I've not stopped criticizing him. I'm happier with him and many other Governors now after realizing they have to work with very paltry and limited resources. I was unjustly comparing them with Governors like Akpabio, Amaechi and Fashola who have been collecting a minimum of 16billion Naira monthly. However Peter Obi has not done much in the Onitsha I passed the other day. Everywhere is still red and the houses look old and worn out. I also took pictures that could give negative impression but won't post them here to discredit his laudable achievements. He could have borrowed money and transformed Onitsha to a modern market.

Is it what the people are yearning for or what they the leader think is good for the citizen. How can somebody budgeted 1.6billion on leisure and destination park and leave housing with just 783million.
