odumchi: Just curious, but does anyone here know Isuama Igbo?Isuama was brought to ruins by your Aro ppl ![]() |
ChinenyeN: -----------------------------------------Feel free to say what you want to say! |
ChinenyeN: It seems to me that you're overestimating the settlement area of northern culture-groups. In the south, whole culture-groups occupy at least double the landmass of most northen groups. So it doesn't make sense to attempt to liken northern settlement areas to that of southerners by calling northern settlement areas "large".Dude, calm down; I am not comparing the size of Ngwaland to that of Nnewi,my point rather is the set-ups and structures of these groups which is similar. Nnewi is a clan and so is Ngwaland. |
nedu210: nwa nnaa, the reason u think our enugu dialect is not prominent or that we speak the agboenu(anambra) dialect is because we the wawa people share the most common words with southern igbos and our fellow northern agboenu people, what i mean by common are those words we use every day when interacting with people, take for instance, anambra people use words like (f) eg, ife, ifeanyi, while we use (h) eg, ihe, iheany, with southern igbos, then the southern igbos also use words like (r) eg, ora na eze, while we, the wawa use (h) eg, oha na eze, with our fellow northern agboenu brodas, another eg, is the word (l) eg, ala for our southern brodas and (n) eg ana, ani or anu for wawa and agboenu, and the use of (ny 4 y, g 4 y, g 4 j), the example is endless, u wil also notice that anambra do not share most words with southern igbo, making enugu dialect, the dialect that link southen and northern igbo together, that is why an enugu person can understand anambra and souther igbo more than southern and anambra can understand each other. Another reason u think enugu speak more of agboenu(anambra) is because enugu is mostly dominated by anambra peopel and those people u see speakin anambra ar actually anambra people bcus u hardly see an enugu person speak (fi fi fi). For our ebonyi people especially abakaliki, that an abakaliki person is not speaking his dialect is that there is no other abakaliki person speak with, and they speak the same central igbo with enugu. Enugu have their own central igbo and when an enugu person speak u will knw.But who are the "agbenu" ppl? I remember my dadd use to refers to someppl as "ndi agbenu" which make me think it most be a certain group in Anambra or even Enugu bevause my uncle alzo reffered to some Enugu guys as "ndi agbenu"? Just curious tho. |
Obiagu, my point is that there is a little to no difference between the Igbo spoken in Onicha city and the core Onicha dialect because the Onicha axis Igbo is a combination of Idenmili,Onicha and Asaba dialects which is very similar with little difference. |
Obiagu1: You're right. I think some people confuse what is spoken in Onitsha presently with Onitsha dialect. The Igbo spoken in Onicha city is a combination of Idenmili,Onicha and Asaba dialects which is almost identical. I bet if you hear an Onicha and Obosi man interacting in their core dialect you wont be able to point out who is who. I agree with you that there is a slight difference between the Igbo spoken in Enugu city and the one spoken in Onicha axis because of the homers(Enugu) influence. |
Ibadan is the second most ancient city in the world Where did you get that from I guess you meant second most ancient city in yoruba land...Dude you are very funnnnny! |
ChinenyeN: Ngwa has never had a king, unless you want to count the post-colonial 'ezeship' occurrence. Now, concerning the rest of your post, I'm not sure I get where exactly you're coming from. The bolded in particular, I do not understand. For instance, how Aba fits into your explanation.Isnt Aba Ngwa land ? I was trying to state that Northern Igbo has large settlements like in the southern parts but are also independent because of their republican mindset. like in Nnewi, they have Otolo,Ichi and Uruagu quaters but they are still part of the larger Nnewi town just like you have Isiala Ngwa,Okpu ala Ngwa and so on. |
Onila!!! Emelu gi eme ![]() |
ChinenyeN: Are you trying to liken Nri/Umunri communities to southern communities? To clarify, the town known as "NRI" is actually calle Agukwu-Nri but most ppl refers to it as Nri,while Umu-Nri is the clans name. let me ask you something: Does all the Ngwas share one King ?? I dont see much difference between these "city-state" and towns like "Aba" because these city-states are also a part of a larger clan which can be likened to a town like "Aba" or "Nnewi" but more independent. |
odumchi: Oooh, I understand what you mean now. I see that I also misunderstood what you said.I hope you know that Umunri comprises of about eight separate towns who are independent and has their own Ezes; Agukwu Nri,Enugwu Agidi,Enugwu ukwu,Nawfia and Oraeri,Umudioka,Neni,Enugu Ezike and a lost town called Ora and the are the well known Original Umunri clan. Most Anambra groups are divided into small towns but still maintains their clan history. |
Baba pupa, did I tell you I'm a slave owner? You're a slave to your own tribalistic mentality.
Sorry,I am of Nri bloodline and we never partake in slavery....Stay on the topic, iya dudu. |

jason123: Guy, you go just injure yasef! ![]() Alha harem, how much do you even know about Uhrobo ppl I have lived in Bini for fivr yrs and the population of Igbo men married to Uhrobo chics are not even enough for us to give account of it! One thing i have noticed about yorubas is that 98% of them dont know anything across their boarders but love being expert on same places they know nathing about!! I'm done here! |
stillwater: Hanhan You call that defense. I was just talking for Lagos people, Igbo, yoruba in Lagos.Who appointed your amebo mouth lagos speaker I know your kind but I dont wanna expose you! |
the girl is too pro-igbo to be yoruba. methinks she actually an igbo girl who grew up in yorubaland, and i guess that is why she can write yoruba. but i could be wrong. but na, im not yoruba. ovbiedo me khin. but i wont mind nri priest cousins if they dont look like the stereotypical igbo girl with yam legs and muscles all over her body.. so if they are fine and feminine, i might add them to the number of women i will marry...haha
I can smell the bigotry in you from miles away; I pray that God blind you from seeing any Igbo chic! |
Baba pupa, I was talking about your overall hate for Yorubas that you display daily whrn NEPA allows you. Youre actually well restrained on this thread. The lice leash must be working for you.
I think you really like me. Dont you? Well,I dont have NEPA problems on this side of the world. And who are you to call me hateful! Everybody on NL knows you are psychotic bastaard!! |
Ilamina: like i said In d past, Rivers women married mainly from Rivers n Iboland,Look, let me drill this into your thick skull; We easterners dont find yoruba women attractive! Why? We have everything we need in the east. Beauty, brain, wify material and everything you want in a woman. Now,tell me why I will leave that to bring a yoruba woman in ?? |
Baba pupa, if you have relatives who up in lagos and still holds this disgusting tribalistic mentality of hating Yorubas, then there is no hope for the other hunters in your jungle village in the SE.
They dont hate Yorubas but dont wanna date or marry one! Big difference; I have had lots of yoruba guys come around our residence and tried to chat them up but the attempt is like lil wayne trying to woo chelsea clinton. Imagine the reaction! Feel sorry for those boys sha! |
alj harem: Lol maybe you miss quoted because that is Jason you called meNo,Alh hare is same person as Jason !! No,they dont connect but yoruba men has a reputation for flirting and wooing Igbo chics! Big difference! If they have their way 50% of yoruba men will marry Igbo chics because every single yoruba guy I know fantacises about Igbo chics and Bini men are like that too. Why cant you guys reform your women and am sure you will be able to find some good in them! Everybody wants a drop of our bloodline ! I wonder why! |
So your cousin equates to all Igbo women? That's the same cousin you tried to used to explain to me how those markets were all igbo owned in Lagos. You and your imaginary cousin that will soon be humping on a yoruba man.
A lot of my relatives live in lagos, iya dudu! And I grew up around lots of Igbo ppl,so whats your problem, iya oloshi ? |
How many times did you and your cousin go skipping through yorubaland today?
Wtf is she on about now ? I ask you a simple question but you cant answer it! |
jason123: That is the koko of the matterAlh harem,so every Igbo girl born in lagos will openly date a yoruba?? You are deceiving yourself and you know it! |
Omo, how many times were you banned today? ![]() Is this exotik? mimifonwon doesn't mind that her mother is a classified outcast, according to onlytruth.
Iya dudu agbaya, you dont wash your dirty amala hands today? |
