Family › Re: Adopted Son Or Biological Son: Who Gets One's Inheritance? by Nsarug80: 8:48pm On Jun 06, 2022 |
I'm not a lawyer but I know that under the Nigerian law, if a man dies intestate (in the absence of a will), his estate goes to the first son who must prove beyond every reasonable doubt that he is holding it for the general good of the family. On the issue of adoption & the right to inheritance, the adopted son is a legitimate member of the family. Therefore, he is entitled to partake in the sharing of the deceased's estate (property). Interestingly, he was adopted as a son to fill the vacuum created by the absence of an offspring. However, the young man's action of sealing of the property was rather hasty & provocative. In conclusion, he should have waited for his father to be buried first before delving into the issue of sharing of property. |
Family › Re: I Am Really Depressed, My Mom's Death Is Killing Me! by Nsarug80: 9:38pm On May 31, 2022 |
dboY1123: It is a month already that my mom died in my hands.. I am really depressed!! I have been seeing life as nothing and vanity, I can't get over her, memories with her kept coming back really hard I tried to keep myself busy by watching movies, playing games and so on..But that doesn't stop my mind from remembering her.
These days, nothing bothers me again, not even life or death, I still have a father but it doesn't change things..
There was a time I went to school (my ppa), my proprietor was trying to pacify me by talking about when he lost his wife back then and everything, I started feeling uneasy and extremely tired..it wasn't stress at all my stomach started aching and I felt like vomiting or even passing out..he noticed it and I quickly left his presence and I went back home to shower and rest..
Please how can I get over my mom, I'm so obsessed with her and her memories kept coming in my head that every time I felt I could have done something to rescue her despite everything I did, taking her to state hospitals and even private.. I am the last born and I am about 29years..I have elder ones like 45(first born) but I took so much responsibilities when she was sick and I was only the one she could call everytime she's depressed due to memory loss..I later found out her sickness was related to heart failure and it was congestive heart failure she was going through.. All those times we thought she had nocturnal asthma like early last year..
It was only last month we knew that it was cardiomyopathy or cardiomegaly heart related.. The general hospitals we took her too didn't say anything like that, one of them only said her liver seemed bigger than the normal one..And we thought it was edema cz her legs were swollen.. So, it was heart related disease and it led to cardiac arrest or heart attack cz she just vomited and stopped breathing all of a sudden.. The way you feel about your Mum's demise is an expression of the love & happy moments you both shared. It's very normal but you'll get over it with time. I lost my mum exactly 10years ago when I was 32, yet I acted like an infant, giving up all hope & aspirations. Today, I'm a happy person with a wife & three kids, one of whom is named after her. So, my brother, take heart no matter how painful it is. It's really painful losing loved ones. However, life must go on. Once again, take heart & rest assure you will be happy again. |

Queenlovely: If I don't know Rivers State I would have passed. But let me tell you something about rivers State.
2005 February 17th I bought 50 speed boat with double engine, for Bonny Island, wholesale price, I never made profit from that business,
The old boat owners saw me as a threat, they sabotaged my boat, my boat was sinking on every trip, similar thing happening to Peace motors, thousands of people still died after I held prayer and fasting.
Just Forget these people, they are their own problems, they don't want to go to school, they don't have hand work. only bunkering and cultism. and sex
they always claim "son of the soil title" . inshort most of them are wasted. every month Oil companies does cleanup because they won't work, they prefer breaking pipes
that is why they hardly travel to other states, they feel rivers State is the center of the universe This is a very senseless comment |
Romance › Re: Help, I Am In Love With A Single Mother Of Two. by Nsarug80: 4:52pm On Jan 08, 2021 |
BabaIbo: I am a young man in my thirties and she should be in the same range(I didn't ask her about her age because I don't really lay emphasis on age). We are from neighbouring towns.
As my heading reads, recently I met a lady online and we have been communicating well and I noticed she ticked most of the boxes of what I want in a woman.
Prior to now, I told myself I will stay away from anything woman because I just started a business last year and I want it to grow and balance before thinking of any thing women or marriage.
Recently, I noticed I am developing strong feelings for her, strong enough to lead to the alter.
Now the problem is, she is a single mother of two, we don't stay in the same city and the father of those kids seems to live in a neighbouring city to where she lives(although to a good extent the father of those kids is not a problem).
My question is what will you advice me to do in this situation? *Go on and start a relationship with her. *Keep her as a friend, although she may get hooked by another man along the line.
Anybody here who have been in similar situation, should help share their experiences too.
Note: She has never been married. She is working and comfortable, money a problem is not a problem, i.e no unnecessary billing associated with some relationships. I once fell in love with a girl that had a child out of wedlock. The feeling grew so intense that I was already contemplating marrying her when I suddenly severed links with her during my MSc program in UNN. The distance barrier later became my lifesaver as the feeling gradually evaporated. I thank God the relationship died a natural death because with time I would have regretted it if I had gone ahead to marry her. In a nutshell, I'll advise you marry her if you are truly convinced you love her and she loves you in return. Forget about what people may say & do whatever gives you joy |
