Your GEJ gave him the bulletproof Jeep BECAUSE her is an ex-head of State and thus important enough. As a matter of fact, his pension is over 250 Million yearly. (By the way, even Obama's Armoured Jeeps do not cost 300 million Naira grin - stop lying)

He has ONLY one Wife. He married her after divorcing the first one who is now dead

He doesn't stay in 5 star hotels but as a guest with friends and associates when he comes to Abuja or anyplace else in the country. Anyway, his pension easily pays this if he wanted (yet he doesn't)

Any former "Head of State" will EASILY get such a loan - the tag and position alone is a guarantee! Plus his pension is paid into his bank account and all he has to do is ask they take out a fixed sum monthly for awhile.

Heated sentiments mean NOTHING - Facts are sacred

I dont think this statement is a recent one. I think this was a statement issued prior to the 2011 elections or so.

Asari's more recent position is that Jonathan must not only run for a 2nd term, but must be allowed to win it because it is his right to have 2 terms in office regardless of his poor performance in office during his first term.

PoliticsBuhari Seems To Have Taken Over by nuclearboy(op): 11:15am On Oct 19, 2014
Okay, so I returned from church and 21 of the topics on Politics section first page, contain the name Buhari. Interestingly, a large proportion of these topics were started by GEJ's supporters. Of course, there are meant to ridicule him or make him look bad but seems nobody is buying the stories

Anyway I wonder - Why don't you sell GEJ? Is it that he has nothing to sell? Why are you trying to pull down Buhari? Have you considered that pulling him down means he is "above", believed to be of greater stature and higher moral standing? The fact that everyone has gone frenzied over this man's declaration of interest astounds the senses - Atiku declared and not a whimper was heard. So why?

This is actually working against Jonathan, the way I see it. But thats for the best, I guess

Justcash:
I like the confidence with which you have written. Unfortunately, the dynamics of political backed militancy is way beyond conventional warfare tactics. Boko Haram embark on suicide missions and kill civilians em mass, MEND blow up pipelines that threatens the economic sustainability of the nation. Buhari is not more rugged and heartless than IBB, ABACHA AND OBJ that could not destroy the evolution of MEND from tiny MOSOP and other harmless splinter groups. Like I have told others, you better be careful about what you wish for.
The difference "in this case" is that such would be an outright declaration of war. If you consider what I wrote, I clearly stated that what matters is the winner being TRULY the choice of the nation. In effect, if Nigerians truly want Buhari and then Dokubo says "no, I prefer and insist" on Jonathan. Its the same if we want Jonathan and any Hausa-Fulani (as BH did) says "No, I prefer a muslim". Refer to 2011 and even today. Boko Haram declared war on Nigeria but only got so far because funds for the war effort went into private pockets (there is even a possibility that some didn't even get to the generals) and because government itself politicized everything.

A serious leader with a military hierarchy alive to its role will wipe out any dissent. Please remember that war isn't just rifles - ND Militants are armed (we all know) but Automatic rifles, Machine guns and RPGs are the least in terms of arsenal. If fighting attrition warfare, fine (for a while) but we all just saw what true warfare is like at Konduga. Note also BH has Sambisa aside 3 massive states (land size) and were killing their own people more than anyone else - they had space to roam in. I doubt Dokubo and co will use N-Deltans the same way and the entire region is too small for boko-like tactics.

All in all, reality will soon strike
PoliticsRe: Prophesy about the outcome of a Jonathan's Loss In 2015 by nuclearboy(m): 6:52am On Oct 19, 2014
All the threats by the windbag Dokubo are just hot air. Boko Haram achieved what they did because the current president does not have the respect of his Generals, allowed them to steal all the monies meant to inspire the fighting men and make them comfortable. So what did anyone expect? One single battle-hardened battalion from 1 Div has changed the face of the war and BH has again mostly become hit and run. Thats because officers who "enjoyed" the war sent the newbies (poorly armed and with zero coordination) against BH

A Buhari who is revered by the military as the ONLY Man ever to lead Nigeria to war against a foreign country, who practically took over Chad in hours, who will not allow officers steal whats due to his men and who is decisive and clean CANNOT be compared to a GEJ whose generals bought bulletproof vests that couldn't stop stones from a catapult YET who kept quiet because he was afraid of losing support

Eventually, the Asaris will run away or kowtow. Yes, they (Delta militants) will stop Nigeria for 3 weeks but its a cut your nose situation - because they will lose their families, lifestyles, and futures to the environmental devastation of blowing up everything. They will not be welcome anyplace on earth and if you couldn't hide from OBJ, is it GMB you wish to hide from? Their mothers and children will stop them anyway

Its always just been noise. I like the arming though - they have added to Nigeria's stockpiles cheesy because IF Buhari, everyone will be disarmed and that rightly!

Way I see it, what matters is that whoever wins TRULY has Nigeria behind him like Jonathan did in 2011. Any ethnicity opposed to a TRUE WINNER will bend or break

Is taking part in illegality is also part of honesty? Restating something does not make it true. Dispute my points rather than make Prof the benchmark for honesty. It is not for me to say how honest the Prof is. He said Buhari is honest and Wole Soyinka said Buhari isn't. Now,it is left to you to choose who is or isnt.

I don't expect TDW to tell me about the evils of
Buhari's regime because he was part of it. But as a kid under the age of 8 I witnessed the evils. I saw soldiers kneeling people down and flogging them for not knowing the wordings of the second stanza of the national anthem. I soldiers forcefully entering warehouses to cart away goods and accusing the owners of hoarding. I heard stories of military administrators looting their states dry why our 'incorruptible' maximum ruler looked the other way.

TDW did not see anything wrong with the gross violation of human rights at the time. He did not see anything wrong with STEALING leadership with a gun. He saw nothing wrong in jailing people like Alex Ekwueme on trumped up charges even when Justice Uwaifo panel EXONERATED him and made the famous statement that politics made Ekwueme poorer.
He did not see anything wrong with serving under a government that had no plans of returning power to civillians. For 20 months Buhari held sway, he never mooted the idea of returning power to civilians. Like Abacha, Buhari wanted to be life President until his brother criminal kicked him out. Need I remind you that it took the other criminal, Abdulsalam Abubakar, just 9 months to conduct elections?

It is a shame that young people should be supporting the return to power of those who kept Nigeria in it's current state. Buhari is part of the old brigade. Somebody who achieved nothing as a ruler when he was younger cannot achieve nothing as a ruler in his old age.
The problem with most of you is that you are so deluded you believe your own lies. Let's start here - show a link to where Soyinka said GMB wasn't honest! I ask that in the belief you know the difference between honesty and being authoritarian!

And then "stealing by administrators" - another daft lie! Under GMB, Colonel PK Obasa was NYSC director and was found to have stolen 9million Naira . Not only did he have to refund every kobo of this sum, but he was also sentenced (by a civilian court - a military officer NOT protected by the military unlike even todaywhere they are demigods) to spend 21 years in prison. Note that he lived practically next door to Idiagbon in Ilorin and was quite close to him yet they refused to protect him.

Every single one of your claims is garbage - an attempt to throw enough mud in the hope some will stick! If indeed you were 8 in 1983, you ought be ashamed of yourself anyway to NOT have a mind and be guided by rumors and sentiments whist 40 is staring you in the face. Tough situations require tough actions (which is why only the best win races). In 1984, people were going to use "import duty" notes got through "connections" to get rice at 19Naira per bag and were selling at 300 Naira (ask your elder siblings) - I was a teen then and I refuse to sympatise with the animals who were ripping us off like that! It is instructive that when a price ceiling was placed on those goods to restore sanity, their decision was to hide, create a panic and thus force the Government to kowtow to their greed! He solved this for us Nigerians by going into their stores, selling at normal prices and giving them their money! If you will take a minute and think, you'd realise what they did by hoarding was economic sabotage and would have resulted in turmoil! You need to apply reason and ask yourself if the C-in-C as he then was, needed rice from anybody's shop to eat! So who did he do it for?

You people are just pathetic in your myopia and are today exhibiting the stockhold syndroem again - you hahave fallen in love with your oppressors and are at best, pets sitting under your master's table whist the GMBs of this world are asking you to take a chair and sit - as men!

Hahaha...I respect the eminent professor of virology. But what do you expect from a Buhari apologist? Give it to him, he has been a die-hard Buhari supporter even before Buhari joined party politics. But why won't he?

In the first place, Buhari's regime was an illegality. No patriot legitimises illegitimacy.

He has reeled out the names of those over 70 who were Presidents. But he avoided telling us that none of those guys sacked a legitimate government. None of those guys ruled as dictators and sought to return to power after over 30 years.

Apart from Reagan, none of the oldies achieved
much. And Reagan did because of the strong systems of the US. He was not a dictator. Mandela's presidency was symbolic. He did not achieve much as a President. But at that time South Africa needed him for the healing of old wounds.

Don't even mention Biya, Museveni et al. Is that what the venerable professor wish for us?

On the suit cases, whether they were 12 or 100 is immaterial. The main thing was the hypocricy in the whole stuff. The order was that nothing shoul come into the country. But alas! Suitcases of the Czar's aides came in. Nobel Laurette, Soyinka aptly captured this story in one of his essays sometime ago titled 'The crimes of Buhari' (I hope I am right about the title).

On PTF, I have said it severally that the fund marginalised the South East and Akwa Ibom in road projects. I also know that it didnt do any road project in A/Ibom. I don't know of expired drugs. PTF bought drugs for hospitals in the South East. Yes, it did. But how much were the drugs compared to roads? If the fund had built dialysis centers and the likes it would have been far better. Not buying phensic, ascorbic acid, tetracyclin and panadol.

I didnt expect anything less from the Prof. If Mustapha were to write a book or essay on Abacha, we all would have thought that Abacha was St Gabriel. Lest I forget, Buhari himself canonised Abacha. Didn't he tell us sometime ago that Abacha was an honest dude?

Prof should be tired of doing this type of piece every four years before elections.
Are you human? As in "Seriously"?

For someone like David-West (a honest modest intellectual) to state such things consistently and take it upon himself to always come out against the self-serving politicians who have all but destroyed Nigerians in defence of this man, SHOULD be food for thought! If you people insist Buhari stole money and has been hiding it since, please where did David West hide his? Or how come its honest people defending this man whist the IBBs, the "big-men" who destroyed Nigeria and the corrupt are trying to villify him and paying you vacuous windbags pittances, to be nothing more than echos? Are you afraid of a society that rewards hard work because you have nothing to offer or what's your problem?

What is this nonsense meant to achieve in a logical debate?

First of all, Tanko Yakasai's is the current chairman of Northern Elders Council (NEC) and not a novice like you.

As far back as 1953/1954, Yakasai was one of the editors of the Comet, one of the top news dailies.

What periodicals or facts can you provide to prove your points and refute Yakassai's interview?
You are not being sincere and are only trying to shift the post by not facing the obvious inference from my statement. There is NO WAY Yakassai was right saying a Maj-Gen would have been posted to Abeokuta. Obasanjo, IBB and even Buhari himself cannot sell such a dense lie BECAUSE there is NO post a serving Maj-General can hold in Abeokuta from 1960 till Today (2014) aside military governor which wasn't available under Shagari (1983)

So THAT WAS A LIE.

Since we have confirmed he lied in ONE statement, find a way to prove the other statements weren't lies. And remember your Deeper Life - It is NOT Godly to lie or manipulate the truth. Remember why Christ called some children of "the father of lies" tongue

Now try again or better still, ignoe and thus prove who your "true" father is (I hope its the right Father though) - none of us is always right and we may have missed a turn. However, lies, obfuscation and pride (which makes us avoid the simple honest truth even when we see it) are traits OWNED by Satan who could be Christian at times or Fulani other times

PoliticsRe: What Buhari Must Do To Win 2015 Election by nuclearboy(m): 5:27pm On Oct 11, 2014
So much rubbish and lies in the public domain.

Tanko Yakassai's interview is easily faulted and thrown out - HE SAYS BUHARI WAS TO HAVE BEEN TRANSFERRED TO ABEOKUTA BUT THEY DIDN'T WANT HIM TOO CLOSE TO THE CENTER OF POWER ....... Any body who has half a brain and knows the military knows this is a lie. He was a Major-General at the said time. What post (EVEN TODAY 30+ years after) would a Maj-Gen hold in Abeokuta?

Again I state - there is NO Army post in Abeokuta that can be held by a 2-star General, talkless in the 80s when 2 stars were a rarity.

This obvious lie invalidates the entire rubbish spouted by the Tanko guy as "beer-parlor" (or Kunu-bowl) gossip - rantings of an irrelevant nuisance who wanted to be noticed. Same dude then went ahead to say the coup was planned in his house. If the first is a lie, how do your infer the 2nd is truth?

If he made such a blunder, not even knowing that possibility was IMPOSSIBLE, how can you even trust anything else he said?

By the way, "as the bird without alighting, a curse causeless shall not fall" - If truly he was inconsistent in his words and has been lying, his curse cannot fall on anybody that points it out, as that would mean the Lord is defending a liar, "Shall not the Judge of the whole earth do right?".
