You obviously aren't informed. Money pits are only bought when new and still under warranty, no serious individual buys money pits because it is foreign used if you have the funds buy and enjoy, but have in mind it is a money pit, it can breakdown immediately you leave the dealership

definitely honda arent as expensive as toyota. Also the CRV has a 4wd if you dont want extra maintenance cost, stick to a FWD and buy one with the 2.4L engine not the 2.0L engine

Please gurus, what car or vehicle would you advice a first time buyer to go for? He has in mind Crv 03 Nigerian used but afraid of the poor maintenance culture of Nigerians plus he really needs space, fuel economy, easy maintenance and high ground clearance due to poor roads.
Budget is around 2m, will it be enough for a good Crv if not what other suv comes close in size, fuel economy and easy maintenance?

Good morning all.My mechanic serviced my Toyota Highlander 2005 transmission system with Oando Dexron II last 3 months.Yesterday I noticed the car start struggling in transmission of the gear then suddenly it stop changing transmission I had to manage it home.What could be wrong?It was yesterday I checked the transmission he used and saw it was Oando Dexron because he usually leave the empty can in the car booth.What should I do please,if the damage has not be done yet.

Check the fluid color if it isn't black and smelling burnt, should be pinkish in color. If not black and smelling you need to drain and refill with toyota type T-IV as that is the recommended transmission fluid for that year, if it still doesn't improve, internal components of the transmission maybe damage also try to get a professional to scan the transmission let's know the codes it throws

My honda is 13years in Nigeria, I only change oil, brake pads, the toughest trouble it gave was oil leak from engine seal which was fixed in a day.

Old cars don't mean trouble if they are well maintained and have parts available in the market.

Avoid those, wacky and troublesome engine, AC compressor bad design. Replacement engine expensive for such category.

The transmission is sensitive and fragile when it comes to dirt. If you want to change the fluid, ensure it is done by a qualified tech in a clean environment because any debris introduced during fluid change will cause transmission failure.

Use that 200k for farm retail business is better. Find non perishable agric products buy in large quantities and resell. Garri, oil palm, snail, yam, potatoes, cassava derivatives etc

The poor should be patient and endure, while the political class continues business as usual

None of the two, buy a Honda Pilot or toyota highlander. Pilot would be easier and cheaper to maintain than highlander though
