My culture forbids that. Secondly, even if it did not, I do not kneel for any stinking mortal human being except for my God. Thirdly, I am not married to an African dingbat with ego so inflated, it would make an air balloon look small. Therefore no need for all that African bruhaha (kneeling, slaving away, selling your soul, etc) recognized as culture in Nigeria. Fourthly, I am not a glorified maid neither do I live in a society where such primitive, archaic, degrading practice is seen as culture. My husband will probably think I have lost it the day he sees me kneeling in front of him. Already, Africans are seen as backward in this part of the world. I don't want to help further that stereotype through my actions all in the name of primitive culture that I do not and NEVER can agree with. Do I look like I want AIDS and other STDS? Why do you think Africa is the AIDS basket of the world? Because African men are walking disease bags! Date and marry them at your own risk. What is senseless, racist, bitter  and rhetorical about the fact that blacks suffer higher unemployment than whites, live in poorer areas, suffer higher incidences of police brutality, suffer higher incarceration levels than whites, are less likely to have access to the same quality of health care as whites, suffer higher exclusion levels from educational institutions and many more, but ill keep it simple so that even someone as dim as you can understand.

As i stated to your friend I am far from bitter, I am actually better off than the likes of you who has lived the whole of your life in this country with nothing to show for it, so please forget about using that tired old argument about me being bitter because it simply does not wash, why is it so difficult for people like  you to understand that there are some people who understand that there is more to life than empty materialism.  Ive had a quick browse through your posts, hahahaha  and i can see that you are not the sharpest knife in the toolbox, but some of us see life from a much more serious perspective we dont look at life through the distorted prism of MTV, HiNolly, CNN, BBC and the E Channel.  

In terms of what im doing to change things, a lot more than  you love, I actually work with young black kids who are facing a myriad of problems lightweights like you wouldnt even know where to begin to know how to deal with, so before you conclude that i am according to you "sitting on my laurels" why dont you try getting out there and seeing how your fellow blacks are living in this country, perhaps you could forgo the shopping trip to Spain and avoid being referred to as a "Puta" by white spanish men and use that time more usefully by volunteering and working with young black kids who have been marginalised by a system who has no use for them.

with regard to your point about the child murder case yes i did read about that in the news but there is a big difference between the media coverage of a murder case and the constant bombardment by the same media of NEGATIVE images of africans in order to create a certain image of africans in the minds of the public.

the coverage of the jamie bulger murder case portrayed the murderers as victims of a broken society, they were not objectified and put on display in the way that africans are, the public were invited to look at the lives of these boys in order to find solutions as to why society had produced children that could have it in them to attack and kill other children.

He is completely right. Nigeria has a hierarchical system that leaves younger people out and old people in charge. Young people are wrong in nigerian society and old people are always right even if they don't know what they are talking about. The young is not allowed to question the old and the old is the know it all. Women don't what their rights are and allow men to treat them like dirt. I may not agree with homosexuality, but it is none of my damn business what someone is doing in their bedroom. when you are ready to get married, find someone that is culturally compatible with you. Maybe you can find an American of Naija descent right here in America. If I were in your shoes, I will not look for someone back home. They have a different mindset when it comes to marraige, your role as a wife and how they generally view women. Be careful!

Growing up, I did not recall seeing Naijas kissing. This is something that just started in the last 10 - 15 years folks. How many of you ever saw your parents kissing? Say the truth and shame the devil. Practice makes perfect so those who don't know the proper way of kissing will one day get there

Who is going to take care of your mother when you marry? If mama wil live with you and you plan on living in a two bedroom flat or house and mama sleeps in one room and you and your wifey in the other, when you guys have kid/s where is that child or children going to sleep?

I am sorry to hear this. Pray about it ok? Naija men and naija society in general will do that to you. You know the men in that society are very aggressive, lack affection, are overly possesive and see women as their slaves and property. Its no wonder the country is not moving forward but rather constantly moving backward because God don't like ugly. From what you have mentioned, your fears are very valid. I would be scared to if I lived in that kinda hostile jungle called naija. Don't rush into anything until you feel you have met the right person. Better yet, marry a non nigerian male like I did so that you will live long, be loved and pampered and not loose your sanity, peace of mind, and happiness when you do choose to get married. I have always said it that most marraiges between naija men and women is a master/slave relationship and you lunatics have proven me right. Why don't you get a dog if you are looking for who to control and maintain? Actually I am; happily married at that, just not to a Nigerian! (Thank God) And even when I was single back in the day, my opinion remained the same so my marital status should have no bearing in my opinion mister.
