We thank God and our sponsors for a successful hangout

Nchenches: Oweri-Okigwe and Owerri-Orlu roads service Owerri mainly - 90%. After Anara, the Owerri-Okigwe road begins to be deserted because nothing tangible of government is in Okigwe. Okigwe trades with Umuahia, not Owerri. Same as Owerri-Orlu road; after Umuaka, the road gets empty; nothing tangible of government still exists in Orlu. Orlu trades with Onitsha, not with Owerri. Most of the little government establishmrnts that were in Orlu have been relocated to Owerri by Hope Uzodinma in his war against Orlu. The once blooming markets in Orlu have dried up from the activities of Hope Uzodinma and his gunmen beginning 2020.
Nchenches: From where did you learn that a state governor must build the roads in a state capital to a certain standard, before the governor starts to build the roads in other cities and rural areas in the state?
U continue to expose yourself as an heediot. Hope is from Orlu senatorial district, I am from Orlu urban LGA, and you are unarguably from Owerri area. You argue for reelection of Hope Uzodinma while you see me as against his reelection. Does that not tell you much that Uzodinma is not addressing the needs of some areas of the state, and thus arresting the economic development of the entire state?
Una sabi complain
The OWerri - Orlu road and Owerri - Okigwe road is that road not standard enough?
Has the Supreme Court governor suddenly forgotten that he has work to do?
What significant projects has that man accomplished in the past four years?
All Imo sons and daughters must come together to stop the Supreme Court governor.
The people must decide between Labour Party and PDP who to vote for. If they are not careful, they will split the votes between LP and PDP and hand over victory to the Supreme Court governor.
Eme ngwangwa, emeghara odachi!
Clown
Man is busy working and has no time for clowns like u
0bjpmb: Owerri has really gone from bad to pigsty. Abakaliki of yesterday has surpased Owerri in infrastructure and development Owerri lacks urban planning, almost non existence of sanitation nor road sweeping. The comparison is quite impressive because with all the education imo state is yet to have a befitting state capital. Owerri has remained largely a glorified rural area full of slums. Onitsha, Enugu, Awka, Abakaliki, Asaba are the best cities in igboland.
Even Aba appears to be looking better than Owerri. Imo indigenes invest everywhere but there state. Imo needs a governor like Obiano or Soludo to bring ndi into investing and developing their state.
Govt60: I made the same proposal to the imo state government, a major rail line connecting Owerri to Orlu - Akokwa with branch line from Mgbidi to Oguta will be super lucrative.
A major rail line from Owerri - Okigwe with branch line to Mbaise is super lucrative
Owerri pH rail line with station at Futo area will sale
Owerri -Orlu - Akokwa rail line can easily be extended to Onitsha through orlu and Nnewi through Akokwa
Then a fresh solid line from Owerri to Aba, probably the shortest line but super lucrative with station at Airport junction.
The state doesn't need FG approval anymore since rail infrastructures is now under the concurrent list of the constitution, including power supply and generation.
True
I hope the govt look at it.
They can even involve private companies to fund it and recover their funds from it before handing it back to the state or keep managing it
longayink: Latest debt profile of Nigeria's states.
Imo state debt is comparatively alarming. This is a state that has one city, Owerri, which its government is taking care of urban infrastructures. Provision of urban and rural infrastructures gulp a huge portion of state funds. But other once-developing cities in Imo are halted. Aru.
There is nothing alarming about debt.
Can you compare the infrastructure in Imo with Abia?
It is because Ikpeazu failed to collect loan that he is leaving many key projects uncompleted after 8 years
Imo should collect more loan as far as they are geared towards improving infrastructure in the state
The drainages must be closed so that dirts will not find it's way into it again and there should be designated waste disposal points at every 500 meter
Then a robust waste collection and then a waste recycling plant in every zone
I like that Soludo is focusing on roads, when that is properly tackled and all the major roads in Anambra being in good shape, Anambra has what it takes to be a metropolis in SE
0fodirinwa: Owerri flyovers have been turned to a mini market. What's the plan of imo state government in either demolishing and rebuilding this project or support it with more pillars and put it to use. It is almost 8yrs since Okorocha built this but because of low quality of the project, it hasn't been put to use. What's the plan of Uzodimma for this project?
this mumu keeps reposting old pics of 2016 as current pics
Keep crying. After Enugu, Owerri is the most beautiful City in SE.
