TravelRe: Ethiopian Airlines In Talks To Take Over Arik Air. by nwoke37: 1:29am On Sep 01, 2017
I believe Ethiopian Airlines wants to manage Arik Air not necessarily buy it. I welcome the development but there is still an issue over the huge sum of debt Arik Air has amassed. Sooner or later the issue of the debt will become an issue no matter the person managing Arik Air . The question is if the Nigerian Government is willing to buy out Arik's debt estimated to be over $800 million. Debt is certainly an important factor to be looked at when considering how Arik Air will bounce back and ultimately be successful in the long term.

I was expecting a list of doctors with several well established medical schools where you also trained other Africans and had some sort of medical tourism - that would be something worth boasting over. I didn't expect a single apprentice of a white man lol. FYI Jomo Kenyatta's mother was a nurse at around the same time (and she was not the only one btw - they were obviously several with several apprentice doctors too). You just crack me up with the things you say Nigeria has done to earn everyone's respect.

You don't dominate by having a large GDP, you dominate by having enough resources to take care of yourself and still manage to help and loan others in large amounts - currently Nigeria can barely take care of themselves so how the hell can you take care of others? Your GDP is majorly due to your high population and at the moment SA has overtaken you again if you didn't know.
The Nigerian government has just donated $1 million cash and 315 tonnes of relief materials to Sierra Leone. Giant of Africa!
BusinessRe: Why Dangote’s Failed Paste Factory Should Give Buhari More Headache Than Dangote by nwoke37: 6:05pm On Aug 30, 2017

You're wrong @bolded. Nothing stops an economy from agricultural and technological advancement at the same time. There's always room for both to thrive and develop an economy. It has never been strictly mutually exclusive.
my guy i think you misunderstood what he said. He meant there has to be technological advancement for agriculture to have the positive impact we want on the economy.

I keep telling people Agriculture cannot do jack to resuscitate any economy rada.. Technological advancement is key
You spend a full year growing a big hectre of land, but on selling everything you cant even last for 2 months with the proceeds.

A company spends 1 yr manufacturing and selling phones, shoes, modern wears, cars, weapons, etc and smiles to the bank while paying salaries to employ others.

If we keep importing all the heavy duty vehicles we use in planting, and we hv no resources to fix them, we find out that the cost we expend on capital takes lots of yrs to cover.. But if we were to produve this heavy duty vehicles... Then the stres that the importation of same, puts on the naira will be reduced, and it will be far more affordable to farmers thereby y reducing their overhead cost and at the same time increasing their profits
This is the same idea I'm pondering on. We, Nigerians, need to produce our heavy duty machines. We should produce tractors, caterpillars, factory machines, and even common street sweeper machines, etc... Our engineers are letting us down! There is also an issue of reviving and building our steel industries because we need steel to produce heavy duty machinery. We need to bring together our mechanical and electrical engineers to build these machines! This is a shout out to all Nigerian engineers as well as investors. You have an important part to play in our economy!
