emeka1101: You are so foolish and childish. How can you compare abuja to Accra? Hahahahaha Your foolishness is hereditary.
There's nowhere in nigeria better than Accra so shut up there and stop posting those pics.
BTWN....abuja and lagos are the smallest states in nigeria. Why don't you show us the remaining bigger and populated 34 States?
This clearly shows how useless and underdeveloped nigeria is.
You don't even have common electricity yet you want to compare that zoo to Ghana.
Dark ugly bokoharam terrorist
All the top 3 biggest and advanced shopping malls in west afria are in Ghana
All the biggest hospitals in west africa are in Ghana.
We even have more schools than you yet your population is about 6 times that of GH.
All the better schools, roads in west Africa are in Ghana.
What do you fools have in that zoo? Lagos is not only the biggest city in Nigeria but also in Africa at about 25 million people... Lagos alone has a bigger GDP than Ghana... The Lagos business school was rated the 48th best in the world by The Economist.. Abuja is more developed and better planned than Accra... Accra has its beauty though Also remember Abuja is relatively new city Abuja is also among the more populated cities in Nigeria.. Here's a quora thread: https://www.quora.com/Is-Abuja-more-beautiful-and-developed-than-Accra |

TayserMahiri: So as at now every east african country has a national carrier in contrast to west africa where no country has a national carrier. All good we have a big market in west africa. Tanzania launched their first aircraft the other day and Uganda is busy trying to revive their airline. Tanzanians though, were rather embarrassing launching one craft with a whole delegation of govt boarding just to sit down. Kenya and Ethiopia are the leaders. Rwanda is well on course. So who is this witch who jinxed west africa that they can never carry themselves? At least if you cant start an airline start shipline (not for migrants). West Africa is (in matters aviation) known for gruesome accidents. Nigeria is starting its airline at the end of july this yr.. |

I'm excited for Nigeria and indeed Africa... Can't wait to see the type of helicopter that will come out of Nigeria in upcoming years Is there any other African country developing helicopters?
I know SA has one already |

nemesis8u: Are the Indians in Kenya foreigners or Kenyan citizens ?
There r Kenyan citizens right same as those of indians who have Nigerian citizenship.
And what do u mean by dominate ?
A Kenyan citizen doing good is good for Kenya , same as a Nigerian doing good in Nigeria. Why should the ethnicity matter ?
Today if u discriminate on the basis of ethnicity tomorrow u will discriminate among ur selves on the bases of tribal lines , linguistics , religion etc from ur own indigenous peoples.
America was made so successful by mostly people from all over the world , they had the same rights and they proudly contributed to the development of America to what she is today.
And u guys wonder why African countries r not where they should bein terms of development. Nigeria has a bigger manufacturing industry than Kenya yet it is black dominated... unlike Kenya |

rvp2018: Tech is not about big market. It actually counter intuitive. The more nimble the faster you can move there.Nigeria will not go far without investing in tech. You guys are where kenya was 8yrs ago...we are busy trying to build new tech city..not hubs..we are building fiber network all over...we are digitally training all kids from class 1...etc etc Investors are more willing to bring in capital because of the bigger market... Nigeria does need to invest in fiber optic though |

rvp2018: You skipped this....Nigeria is now at 2007-2010 - when Kenya is already a matured ICT Hub - our broandband speeds beat US & even Isreal - and we are building techno city. While you're busy at first stage - of building hubs....we are building an entire city for technology companies - and clearly Kenya's Silicon Savannah will be answer to Silicon Valley of San Francisco. Not Nigeria's Yaba valley
The rise of Silicon Savannah...
Most discussions of the origins of Africa’s tech movement circle back to Kenya, which laid down four markers between 2007 and 2010 to inspire the country’s Silicon Savannah moniker: mobile money, a globally recognized crowdsourcing app, Africa’s tech incubator model, and a genuine government commitment to ICT policy.
I strongly believe Nigeria's tech scene will overshadow Kenya's simply because Nigeria is a much bigger market 1) Exhibit 1 - Gov commitment to ICT Policy https://i.imgur.com/pEKmwNlh.png
2) Tecno City coming along - 5,000 ha city

rvp2018: Both TZ & Ethiopia - despite being nearly twice kenya in size and pop - cannot catch Kenya anytime soon - both are hobbled by marxist/communist tendencies like Nigeria is - TZ nominal GDP (USD) is nearly half that of Kenya - Ethiopia had "reach" kenya - before they devauled by 15% - the real market rate of birr to usd is still higher by 35% (so their GDP will further shrink by 35%).
TZ & Ethiopia - are more like rapidly improving Nigerians. Their fundamentals are just weak. I don't see them ever catching up with Kenya - an open, democratic, liberalized, progressive, modern & well-diversified economy. You don't have to be democratic to succeed... Look at China... I predict Ethiopia will be the next China... Ethiopia will grow and overpass Kenya's economy rapidly and may become more industrialized |

rvp2018: How can Adis do that when they worse than Nigeria in banking and finance. They do not allow private banks. They have even stricter control of forexs. They do not even have stock exchange - while Nairobi securities is already ahead of curve with many companies cross-listing here - complete with liquid debt market - nearly all major banks of the world have representative office or branch here - you can buy dollars or euros or any currency anywhere - chinese yuan have clearing house in Nairobi - KSHS is very stable --and you can move money in & out without any hassle - I can go on and on. Nairobi is already HQ of many companies with operation in Africa - so they will be sending money to Nairobi for onward transmission. UN alone has nearly 500-1B dollars worth of transaction annually. Globally we are now known for innovative mobile banking - m-pesa - and
Our competition is South Africa and Mauritus. Not Lagos. Leave alone poor Adis. Again as I said back up your statement concerning Nairobi being a financial center outside SA... stats, data?? Yes, Nairobi is known for attracting multinationals.. i don't doubt that |

Nowenuse: Kenyans cannot even dominate East Africa successfully let alone Subsaharan Africa. Ethiopian economy is as large as your economy. The most expensive project in East Africa is currently in Ethiopia. Tanzanians dominate the entertainment industry of East Africa. Tanzanians are also as rich as Kenyans in terms of gdp income per capital (ppp). funny people... they claimed they are the financial center of Africa after SA... yet non of their banks make it into the top 10 biggest companies in Africa |

rvp2018: It actually is. First you guys need to remove forex controls before anybody serious can bring their money there to Nigeria. Nairobi is the financial center of Sub-Sahara Africa outside South Africa. I never even said Nigeria(Lagos) was the financial center of Africa after JO'burg... Back up ur statement about Nairobi cuz i sincerely doubt it... Once Ethiopia opens up, It'll dash Nairobi's position of being the financial hub of eastern Africa |

rvp2018: 8B dollars importing refined Oil - is reason why Nigeria to me will remain forever hopeless. If you cannot refine oil that god has given you - then country is cursed. Cursed with pathetic leadership. Dangote is building the largest single-line refinery in the world(It'll be ready next yr)... more than the the current consumption of fuel in the country... so he's exporting too, maybe to Kenya.. Good thing about the Dangote refinery is that it's a private project, not a government project Nigeria does have refineries to exceed current consumption but corruption and vested interests led to the decay of them and for some reason they can't undergo renewal... Same reason Nigeria doesn't produce enough electricity... The second to last government supposedly spent $16 billion on electricity... We've seen little improvement since then.. Corruption is the cancer of a nation |

rvp2018: The answer is obviously NAY - this plant was designed and built in 70s & 80s - and we are in 2020 - that nearly 50yrs - that is just a rust belt - I bet Nigeria can go to US and buy themselves something that is not as rusted as Ajaukota stillborn steal plant. The more important equipment undergoes regular servicing... |

rvp2018: Just share you figures. You consume around 18M tonnes per year for nearly 4 times our population(198M). We consume around 6M with 48M folks. Basic maths - you need to consume around 24M metric tonnes to catch kenya per capita
As for Lagos - it's pretty much irrelevant -coz you sit in francophone region - so Ibandan most likely has more kick than Lagos.
Nairobi is definitely the HQ of many multinationals in Africa, regional HQs of many embassies, the only UN HQ in developing world, the financial center of SSA outside South Africa, the regional Airport hub (with Joburg & Adis Ababa), etc.
That thread at SkyeScraperCity that rans 42 pages - has list of companies that have chosen Nairobi to be their regional if global HQ (like Oxfam recently did - moving their international HQ to Nairobi from London).
https://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1559138&page=42 You just proved Nigeria is self-sufficient in cement production... Nigeria produces wayyy more than 18m tonnes of cement... And just for reference what is the cement consumption per capita in USA |

rvp2018: Officially Nigeria (Dangote) claims to export cement. And here they are importing cement. A country can still import a product and still be an exporter... Perhaps the cement Nigeria imports are not the type Dangote produces... Nigeria is the largest producer of cement in Africa by far.. and it's cement capacity is currently enough for demand |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by nwoke37: 4:08pm On Jun 23, 2018 |
rvp2018: Lies and insults are not substitute of facts and sound argument. We have higher cement consumption per capita (around >150 kilos) than Nigeria somewhere around (130). Kenya is also not a small irrelevant country - whatever that means - but are certainly the biggest dog in regionally - with Nairobi the most important city outside JoBurg in Sub-Saharan Africa. Nairobi is not the biggest dog out side jo burg, It's between Cairo and Lagos |
