How I which I was part of this Buhari led govt this KANU debacle is so insignificant that it will be use to quell any / every other uprising in Nigeria if the leaders are sincere. The solution for agitation like this have been seen in China and Russia severally.

The govt simply need to get some Igbo touts paid them handsomely to foment chaos at any or several event KANU / Ipob is having. The police or army should always be handy in several numbers at the background. The tout sponsored by the federal govt should shoot killing like 5 Ipob member the entire place will scatter the govt sponsored tout should stand their ground n fight for the police to quickly step in arrest like 100 Ipob n KANU.

A charade of an investigation should be carried out, KANU and few Ipob arrested should be release with the govt sponsored touts. If KANU hold any public agitation anywhere in the country again the sane tactics should be employed with the killing increasing in geometric proportion. He is wrong! Land should go to the people or their local communities not the state (except for small strategic areas designated as federal lands for national security). I was in Lagos not too long ago and I found out that the state raises revenue via taxes and then turns around gives it to the local governments which is so dumb. LGA's should be able raise their own revenue and provide services for their constituents this way you encourage civic participation by the people and reduce the possibility of money passing through many hands.

How does it operate in the state you came from to Lagos ? Guess the LGA's over there generate it's own revenue n all the civic participation theory bla bla bla.

While I agree with Ambode that the Land Use Act needs to go, I strongly disagree with his suggested replacement. Why should the state governors, using the legislatures they control, be given even more freedom to act like mini-dictators?

What needs to replace the Land Use Act is to make clear and easy provision for individuals to acquire perpetual title to land, and to then dispose of said land as they please, whether by sale, gifting it or whatever. It should be made much harder for politicians to interfere with individual property rights except where eminent domain clearly applies, and een then individuals should be entitled to receive fair market value (as assessed by an agency independent from the government) for the land taken from them.

Of course, all of the above is what one would wish for in a sane country whose leaders are actually serious about making the citizens lives better, rather than merely searching for new opportunities to steal. As such I don't expect any governors, senators or house members to come forward in favor of individual land rights.

You should have all this once Biafra is granted we will make do with what Ambode believe will protect the right of his state n indigene.

We have all read about how Yoruba are the draw back holding Igbo from their Biafra Utopia. I have read from Igbo countless times how Awolowo only gave them 20 pounds from the billion they saved before the war.

I have read about the claims of marginalization by the Igbo etc. What I just discovered is that the three year allocation of the Igbo state was paid by this same Awolowo who the Igbo love to demonize even without fec approval. Why he did this is a topic for another day.

What is amiss is that ever since I have been reading through journals detailing the atrocities claims n counter claims of the Biafran and Nigerian army I have never come across where it is was stated by any Igbo that Awolowo took such drastic action to save millions of improvised Igbo not even from Adichie.

Now my question is judging from the way so many Igbo have been demonizing Awolowo can any Igbo, Ipob whoever that as the knowledge tell us what they did with three year allocation? We know salaries were not paid as no services were rendered so what exactly swallowed the allocation?

I must say it is understandable that the Igbo have the penchant of absolving their leaders of blames and failures even when it is glaring but surely someone need to point out what exactly was achieved with 3 years allocation. Lagosian can attest to what Fashola achieved after Yardua paid the allocation accruing to Lagos after the siege from Obasanjo.
