We are currently into the 2nd day of uninterrupted power after almost 3 days of famine (I almost thought they were on strike sef). Thank God for generator sha. For the records, no amount of bribe go make me like PHCN. Mtscheew. You guys can praise them for the meagre (and irregular) 12hrs you get to have. ![]() |
Caracta: It's possible jor. Before we got a new transformer in my area, we were placed on a-day-on-a-day-off. Light comes on 9am and doesn't go off till 9am the next day. What are you saying?a-day-on-a-day-off is no where near every day. On average, that's just about 12hrs per day. |
lalaosky: There are still such areas. Just cos you haven't been there doesn't mean they don't exist but generally, light condition in naija is an eyesorecalm down and reflect on the "every day" phrase again. I've had more than 24hrs light at a stretch at times, no biggie. Buh I cannot lay claim to everyday. There are really good days and really bad ones. Why pick the good days and call it average? |
ItsModella: Rihanna will follow me on Instagram before I believe that there's a place in Lagos that gets light at least 12 hours everyday. The entire country is running on 4000 MW for 170 million people. And y'all want to tell me that a neighborhood is getting at least 12 hours of power everyday. Talk about miracles and grave injustice.lol... Leave them. Naija where phcn office dey use generator sef. That 4000MW output statistic has even dropped in the last few months, according to news reports. It's true some areas have more constant supply than others... But 16, 18, 23hrs constant supply everyday? Even minister of power no go talk that kind lie. |
Lol |
Buh to be honest, majority are not really "test driving" sha. Many do not even intend to buy the car at all... Others keep returning to "test drive" over and over. As for the topic, there really is no way to find out, that doesn't fall into the Bible's definition of "sin". Since each one would carry his own load, why let others arrange your own for you? |
vivianc: WheTher you tested oh: as in by inserTing the sim card in a phone, or u touched o, licked oh, sucked o, took iT Through the back door, etc all na the same.word! Hypocrisy stinks. |
Eze Promoe: [color=crimson]Modella, we now enjoy steady electricity in Nigeria.Hehehe... Stories. |
The way some people go about it is just bad. How can someone open a thread on NL, write something as silly as "Tonto Dikeh kisses Whizkid. See it here." and post the link to his blog which is 0.1% original? ![]() Annoying, I tell you. They just want traffic and money. |
Br3nd4: And how can someone not like saladsame way someone can not like bread ![]() |
nitlad: I think this one has to do more with logic.correct ![]() |
Another... 1. I wasn't born in June. 2. I was born in June. 3. I was born in either May or June. |
Hehehe... Smh @ nitlad's analysis. I have never touched a cigarette is.... True , as incredible as it may sound; and so is the salad option. Was brought up to view cigarettes as a biiiiiiig taboo, and I still do. No offense to smokers. Funny enough, number 1 (I cannot swim) is the lie, and no one picked it. Or did anyone? ![]() |
Erm... - I cannot swim at all. - I've never touched a cigarette in my life. - I hate salad with a passion. |

ogugua88: You'll have to keep wondering. And she shouldn't repeat it/violate rule 15 again (or any other rule) as there are consequences for doing such.hmmm... There's this nursery rhyme that NL censor ruined. That one about the cat that went to London ![]() |
Shugamania: Hey loveshey shuga. There is shuga, tea, bread(a) and honey? Dinner is ready mehn! ![]() |
Br3nd4: By blowing you a kiss?proudly virgin village boy ![]() |
Tovot: lol small boys indeed*innocent face* |
Tovot: its EL GuapoIt's all of you jor. Dey should rate the thread 18 so small boys like me would not be exposed to bad stuff ![]() Br3nd4:you are cheating on ya hubby ![]() |
Na wa o. These people no go spoil me for my mama ![]() |
Idowuogbo: Lmao! I feel u bro!stop feeling him ![]() |
vivianc: @Oahrey: you can become an osu by association, That's one of the reasons parents forbid marrying Them.ok, what if I choose to marry one? I'm not igbo. Will noisy village elders come to disturb? I'd hate to shoot anyone ![]() |
Maybe I'll understand certain strange things someday ![]() Until then... ![]() |
lalaosky: yeah, thats true..according to vivi, they serve at the shrine, how do you expect someone that serves at shrines to rule the land? What of the "osu by association" she mentioned? It reminds me of one lil book "Odenigbo". I read it when I was younger. The man became osu because he sought refuge in a shrine to save his head from their chief... The osu I meant are the descendants of those people, alive today, who may not even know the road to a shrine. |
vivianc: @Oahrey:Congrats... You have just confused me ![]() If osu means "belonging to the gods", and you said whatever belongs to the gods must not be touched, there is reason for others to avoid marrying an osu, right? It seems so. Someone said they cannot take 'chieftaincy' titles or be Ezes. Is that true? |
Nice epistle, Vivian. So the osu thing is strictly religious afterall. The gods are flexing sha. They get to own trees, animals and even people. |
freecocoa: The choosing part was for the ones who decide to marry osus.hehehe... As if that would stop others who have always known them from whispering "osu" behind their backs. Buh seriously, some things need to change. Lets take "Osuji" as an example. I assume "Ji" is a god. Now Mr Samuel Osuji (disclaimer: not any real person) becomes Christian, or at least chooses another form of religion. Does he still belong to "Ji"? |
freecocoa: lol.oya look at the osu thing through my eyes ![]() |
freecocoa: Not you too.I still do not believe anyone would CHOOSE to be an object of discrimination. What of their offspring? Do you think they wouldn't defend themselves if they could? |
lalaosky: nah, i hate both beliefs but i think twin killing is worst...some great men and woman have been slayed for no reason...It's easy to say all this cos you are not one. Tell me... Why do people choose to die for their nation to be free? Some things are just as bad as death. |
