Come down to Delhi. There is a giant Samsung Plant where Samsung handsets for Asia are made from scratch! The handsets are shipped to neighbouring asian countries and another In Japan that manufacture for the mandarins(HK, China, Japan, Taiwan)

I know of the Samsung because it's 3 blocks away from my bank branch. There are other manufacturers here such as HTC that is in Kolkata. Original HTC phones made from scratch and shipped. A few parts may be imported (parts owned by other brands such as intel) but phone is made here. We don't import phones neither do we assemble.

We also don't assemble cars. There is a Nissan factory in somewhere in old Delhi where they make the parts and export to other countries to assemble.

I'd answer your question seeing you'd never be able to answer mine. Amongst other things, we manufacture cars in Africa; we have software developers in Africa; and we are just starting.
