Romance › Re: Why Is The Nigerian Girl So Impatient With Attitude?. by Oahray: 7:24pm On Jan 21, 2015*. Modified: 7:54pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
It's childish, but that would be because guys bug them too much. When a girl has too many people struggling to get her attention, she can afford to be choosy and would naturally draw up a scale of preference. While others are getting ignored, you don't expect to be high up that scale as a stranger, do you?
When demand is high with low supply, price increases to reduce demand.
If a girl does that to me, I'd tell her "goodbye then" and blank her for good. I no get power for that kind essay. |
Romance › Re: Why Do Men Text Rather Than Call? by Oahray: 6:59pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
Some phone calls are unnecessary, especially if you are calling a girl who is a sucker for attention and who believes she must style to prove her worth. For your own good never call often a girl that isn't a good friend already.
Unless you are special, if I call you once, I try. If u no wan reply text, rest na. No be only you sabi busy. |

laykorn: Oahray and Shugaryme. This the way to where you're going. Sorry. The roads can be a bit confusing around here sometimes. www.nairaland.com/dating Ayamlaykorn em... Well I disagree literature is expression . . . . . . . (1) Love thrives on expression . . . . . . . (2) Solving (1) and (2) simultaneously, we see that love is directly proportional to literature (don't ask how ). So mathematically Love ∝ literature . . . . . . (3) To make this an equation, we introduce a nairaland constant of location proportionality called section Therefore, Love = literature section Q. E. D 3 Likes |

Kuzaku: I'll ask one thing.
Can't you love a child so much, respect his needs, know his pains well enough to bend the mnost rigid of rules for him?
He should have been punished, but his father did not ask him 'why' because he knew what the child felt. What if they were still JWs but allowed the child the pleasure of celebrating the love of that saviour they talk about in school and celebrate every 25th of December? lol. You obviously don't know much about your main characters then. I rest my brief case... |

kaya09: If my memory serves me right you were d first person to call her out on openly criticizing d entries. I mean who does that? Even the caine prize for literature dt is prestigious wud neva try it,with all dia accomplished writers as judges. What was her reply? As usual she argued and fought with ohray. First thing dt cam to my mind wen i read wat she wrote was "tank God i didnt participate". true, but I've stopped. If my criticism served any purpose, I cannot see it. Just the satisfaction that I didn't keep quiet. You've registered your thoughts. Whether she agrees or not, you have said your mind. With due respect to the judges, that's good enough. Not everyone dishing out criticism is willing to taste it. |

Kuzaku: From what I can infer:
1- Jws don't celebrate Christmas. To them, it's a kind of 'pagan' festival.
2- About the family celebrating xmas the following year,m I ask you, would you see your child want something badly but choose to deny him because you religion 'feels' it's wrong?
Thank you. well, I think it's a big leap, unless you are writing a fantasy. If the family does not celebrate because they believe it is pagan, and they believe it is pagan just cos they are JW, how come they stopped believing it and yet remained JW? If they stopped being JW, how come the child was surprised? The change is because the child wants to? Nice idea, but not convincing enough for readers who know the effect of religion on the average African. |

Mtcheeew d gal jst irk me dis nite. I didnt mean to litter d thread with unnecesary ish,bt she tink say na only she sabi talk. I think you should see the contest as a separate entity, not under the shadow of your perception of her personality. People handle power in different ways. The pressure of organising stuff is real too. You wouldn't feel it much as a observer. When a person climbs up to have a good look around, for map purposes, it is inevitable that he'd look down on some people in the process. Look at the good side bro. |

Kuzaku: Chai, see how your comment is making my teeth show. Thanks for the clarification, whitey.
No, I'm not a Jw lol in unrelated news, dude your story sha... The deus ex machina is a rather huge vacuum. How would a family just wake up one day and ditch a lifelong tradition without any reason? Neither narrative nor plot justified such huge leap. Your readers wouldn't fail to notice. |
