Saudi Arabia has finally lifted its longstanding ban on women driving , decades since the fight began .

Saudi women were seen getting behind their wheels just minutes after the world’s last remaining ban on women driving was lifted.

This move was part of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's effort to remove the country’s reputation of repressing women’s rights and to modernise some aspects of Saudi society.

Over 2,000 female drivers now have official permits to drive after first licenses were issued earlier month.

For nearly three decades, the ultraconservatives had warned that allowing women to drive would lead to sin and expose women to harassment.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia remains a big opportunity for carmakers like Volkswagen ,Mercedes-Benz and Ford as they rank 21 out of the 198 world auto markets.

Jaguar Vector Racing and Williams Advanced Engineering have broken the world electric speed record in a battery-powered boat called Jaguar Vector V20E .

The single-seater battery-powered boat was piloted by Jaguar Vector co-founder and technical director Peter Dredge at speeds of 88.62 miles per hour(142.60km/h) across eight miles of the Coniston Water lake ,breaking the previous record of 76.8 mph set ten years ago.

Jaguar didn't reveal the exact technology used in the single-seater boat , but says it shares the same technology that Jaguar and Williams use in Formula E car.

Jason Seaman is the seventh-grade science teacher who stopped the 13 year old shooter at Noblesville West Middle School in United States.

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group has now rewarded Mr Jason Seaman for his heroics with a brand new 2018 Hyundai Elantra.

They will also donate $25 for every car sold between Memorial Day and Father's Day to the 13-year-old girl's treatments who was shot 7 times during the shootings.

Chinese Huansu Auto has officially revealed the Huansu C60 Hyosow, a Cross Over SUV that bears a striking resemblance to the Italian Lamborghini Urus SUV but cost one tenth the price.

The mum-of-two was pulled from the snake's insides in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia, after she went missing on Thursday.

The victim, named as Wa Tiba, was last seen at about 6.45pm when she went out to tend to the family garden.

Horrifying pictures show her body being cut out of the snake after her kids found her sandals, machete and torch around 30 metres from a patch of bushes that appeared ruffled.

Her sons then saw an enormous python lounged on the ground barely able to move - it had swallowed the 54-year-old housewife head first.

Neighbour Ayu Kartika said: ''Everybody was crying, everybody was shocked. The poor woman. This is like a horror movie. People are terrified.

"We are scared to go outside. We can only pray for a safety.''

Cops were called and by 9am on Friday hundreds of villagers had gathered round the patch of grass in the remote Mabolu Village in the Lohia Regency of Muna province.

The snake's skin was sliced open to reveal the slime-covered corpse of the housewife - she was still wearing her brown leggings and dark red top.

The knife she had gone out with the previous evening was found on the floor - suggesting she had dropped it after being set upon by the killer python.

Police superintendent Agung Ramos from the Muna district Indonesian National Police said Wa Tiba had went out to check her garden the previous evening and never returned.

He said: ''Children and residents had been looking for Wa after she did not return home.

"Some items belonging to victim, sandals, machete, and flashlights, were found but the victim was not there.

''The family then reported this to the police and the search reached its conclusion at 9am. Residents found a python that looked like it was unable to move.

"Residents then suspected the snake swallowed Wa Tiba.

''People took the snake into the village and started splitting the snake.

"The suspicions were true and there was a body in tact inside the snake. Unfortunately the victim was lifeless.''

Wa Tiba had a traditional burial ceremony later that afternoon in keeping with traditional religious customs.

German authorities has fined Volkswagen one billion euros ($1.18 billion) over the diesel emissions cheating. This fine ends regulatory offence proceedings against Volkswagen.

Volkswagen said

“Following thorough examination, VolkswagenAG accepted the fine and it will not lodge an appeal against it".

"Volkswagen AG, by doing so, admits its responsibility for the diesel crisis and considers this as a further major step toward the latter being overcome.”

This is coming after they agreed last year to pay $4.3 billion to US to resolve criminal and civil penalties against them.

Few days ago, the Germany's government also ordered Mercedes Benz to recall nearly 240,000 cars that were fitted with emission cheating devices after revealing that 774,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles are affected across Europe .

The Volkswagen emissions scandal began in September 2015 when the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) found that Volkswagen had intentionally programmed turbocharged direct injection (TDI) diesel engines to activate their emissions controls which improve results only during laboratory emissions testing .

With this program, the vehicles nitrogen oxides (NOx) output met the US standards during regulatory testing but emits up to 40 times above what is allowed once on the road . This pollutants cause respiratory diseases like emphysema ,asthma and bronchitis.

Porsche’s upcoming all-electric supercar formerly known as Mission E (concept model) will now be called the Taycan .

The Taycan, pronounced "Tie-kahn" which means lively young horse( or spirited young horse) in Eurasian , comes from the black horse on the Stuttgart coat of arms and Porsche emblem.

Volkswagen owned Porsche said “Our new electric sports car is strong and dependable; it’s a vehicle that can consistently cover long distances and that epitomizes freedom".

The 600 horsepower Taycan (447 kilowatts) can reach 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in less than 3.5 seconds.

Teams from African countries hasn't advance beyond the quarter-finals let alone lift the World Cup despite been the second most-populated continent and a place where football is king and also worshipped .

Nigeria will be competing at their sixth FIFA world cup finals in Russia while three teams from sub-Saharan Africa ,Cameroon in 1990, Senegal 2002 and Ghana in 2010 have qualified and eliminated at the quarter-finals.

There are 32 countries taking part but only one will be crowned world champions.

A Mexican politician active in the dismantling of organized crime was shot dead while he posed for selfies with constituents. 

Fernando Purón, former mayor of Piedras Negras, had been participating in a congressional debate on Friday when he was gunned down.

The shocking murder of Purón, captured on CCTV, shows a bearded man wearing a cap walking behind the 43-year-old and shooting him in the back of the head. Purón died on his way to the hospital. 

During his debate in Piedras Negras, the father of one talked about his work fighting the gang while mayor from 2014 to 2017. 

'We closed the businesses of organized crime and demolished the houses belonging to the Zetas,' Purón, said, according to the Austin American-Statesman. 'We took back the city from the Zetas, and we returned it, pacified, to the citizens.'

The Zeta cartel has lost some of its power since the arrest of leader Miguel Treviño Morales, known as Z-40, in 201

'He was ready for battle until the last moment,' Cynthia Villarreal said. 'He was the bravest man on the face of the earth.' 

On Monday, the attorney general for Coahuila said authorities have found two men they believe are associated with the murder or may know a suspect.

Elon Musk has revealed the yet to be released Tesla Roadster will come with an optional SpaceX package that will further improve it's astonishing performance.

“What we unveiled with the Tesla Roadster was the base model performance. It’s going to have a SpaceX options package. It’s crazy".

Roman Abramovich has reportedly rejected an approach from Britain’s richest man to buy Chelsea.

The Daily Mail claims petrochemical billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, estimated to be worth a staggering £20billion, came forward looking to take the Stamford Bridge club off Abramovich’s hands.

Chelsea’s Russian owner is currently embroiled in a UK visa clash with the Home Office, leading to him shelving plans for a new stadium in West London.

It means there’s been speculation that Abramovich could up sticks after buying Chelsea for £140million in 2003.

But it’s understood that he has no intention of abandoning the Blues, with the Russian also rejecting other offers, including one from China.

Ratcliffe is a Manchester United fan but currently holds a season ticket at Stamford Bridge.

He also knows all about running football clubs after purchasing FC Lausanne-Sport in November  – who were relegated from the Swiss Premier League last season.

But it appears Ratcliffe won’t be getting near Chelsea any time soon, despite dwarfing Abramovich’s personal wealth by around £11bn.

A friend close to the British billionaire told the Mail: “Shelling out £2bn or so would seem like a drop in the ocean for Jim but at the moment he is torn about what to do.”

Since taking charge at Chelsea 15 years ago, Abramovich has overseen five Premier League title wins and finally got his hands on the coveted Champions League trophy in 2012 following a dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Bayern Munich in Germany.
