A Russian man in Siberia named Vladislac Barashenko decided to build himself a running, driving copy of a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen out of the most plentiful resource around him,the Ice

With an average high of just -25 °C (−13 °F) in January, there's plenty of ice to go around,and he decided to take advantage of that and create his own unique version of Daimler's iconic off-roader.

The internal combustion engine demands something a little more melt-proof than ice, which is also famously lousy for things like tires and suspension systems.So he stripped down an old UAZ 469—a Soviet Jeep Wrangler to the chassis and running gear to create a blank canvas.

With the help of a steel frame to help hold everything together, he and his team attached six tons of carefully-sculpted ice blocks made from "pure frozen Siberian water,"

33 year old Chad O. England from Maryville,Tennessee allegedly flipped his truck five times because Jesus was calling him and advised him to let go of the wheel.

I suppose the miracle here is that he was able to get out of the vehicle on his own power. He even grab a jar, presumably filled with Lord knows what, and take off running while speaking gibberish. Police on the scene apprehended the man and held him in their cruiser until state troopers could arrive.

When deputies searched the vehicle they found six grams of marijuana, 0.6 grams of cocaine, a pipe, rolling papers, a 3/4 empty bottle of Crown Royal, a small empty bottle of Crown Royal and several cans used for 'huffing.

He faces multiple offences including drug and traffic charges. He was charged with driving under the influence, felony possession of Schedule II drugs for resale/manufacture/deliver, possession of Schedule VI drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported England said that he did not take off running, but he was 'being called and was traveling to bow before someone.' He also stated he was not driving, but he was behind the wheel.

He is currently being held at the Sullivan County jail.

A self-filmed video of a man who was hit by a Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) train in Hyderabad, India, has been viewed thousands of times online.

Gym trainer T Siva ignored warnings from a person nearby and the train driver while filming near Borabanda railway station on 21 January.

Mr Siva survived but has suffered head injuries, according to South Central Railways Police.He has appeared in court and been fined 500 rupees ($7.87, £5.50).

The 21-second-long video was shared thousands of times on Facebook on Wednesday. In it, Mr Siva is seen standing in the foreground as an MMTS train approaches.

Experts say youngsters obsessed with social media are going to extreme lengths in the quest for reckless selfies. Many cases involve young men.

In order to support its growing fleet in china, Tesla has been heavily investing in charging infrastructure, which is why it’s not surprising that its 3 biggest Supercharger stations in the world are in China.

The company already opened a 50-stall station in Shanghai last year. It became the largest fast-charging station in the world and another 50-stall station followed in Beijing a few months later.

Each of the stations is extremely powerful in order to potentially supercharge up to 50 cars at the same time.The 3 Supercharger stations have a total peak power output of over 3 megawatts,enough to power hundreds of homes.

Tesla ended last year with just over 8,250 Superchargers at 1,120 locations around the world and aims to have 18,000 Superchargers around the world by the end of 2018.

Like most major automakers, Nissan is hard at work developing advanced autonomous driving systems.But Nissan's semi-autonomous ProPilot Assist tech isn't just for cars.

Nissan announced on Thursday it is offering a high-tech night at a traditional Japanese hotel filled with, of all things, self-parking slippers.Nissan added its brand’s ProPilot Park technology to a number of items, including slippers, tables and floor cushions.

Each item is capable of moving back to a specified location after being moved, similar to how Nissan's ProPilot Park system is capable of using the steering, brakes and throttle to maneuver a vehicle into a parking space without human input.

The devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in 2011 inspired numerous innovations meant to prevent future disasters. That includes one man's dream of a floating car.

Two years after the disaster, Hideo Tsurumaki, a former employee of Toyota Motor Corp,who witnessed people trying to escape the tidal waves onslaught in their cars,started Fomm Corp. to build a small, watertight electric vehicle that can float in floods, or even cruise at low speeds.

This Electric car uses turbine-shaped wheels that draws in water as they revolve, and a component at the front that releases the water to achieve propulsion. It also allows the vehicle to be turned using the steering wheel.

It will be a city car, driving 160 kilometers (99 miles) on a single battery charge with a top speed of 80 kilometers per hour (50 mph). The batteries are replaceable, so users won’t have to wait the six hours it takes for a full charge and a heat-storage system custom built for southeast Asia.

Fomm Corp. has some notable backers, a functioning prototype, and plans to produce 10,000 cars a year,starting from later this year at a factory that it’s renting near Bangkok in Thailand.

This disturbing video has re-emerged of how real people were used as crash test dummies in the 1970s.

The footage which came from Germany shows people being thrust, battered and thrown around in their seats during simulation car crashes.

The video also shows people hitting other vehicles driven by humans while on snowy roads, and drivers smashing into trees which such force the windscreen detaches from the car frame.One man is then seen to be hitting two stationary vehicles on a test track.

In all the instances shown on the program, none of the drivers appear to be harmed and one driver even appears to laugh after a crash

A Middlesbrough fan has been arrested for allegedly urinating in the opposition team goalkeeper's water bottle, police said.

The supporter was facing a ban from watching his team following the incident at Queens Park Rangers' Loftus Road ground during Boro's 3-0 away win.

Video shared on social media showed a man throw a water bottle onto the pitch behind the QPR goal.

Fans talking about the incident on a forum indicated the bottle may have been taken earlier by a pitch invader.

Cleveland Police's dedicated football officer said on Twitter: "I've been asked by a few followers and can confirm the so called @Boro fan who urinated in the @QPRFC goalie bottle was arrested by colleagues from @MPSFootballUnit

"Disgusting act and I will do all I can to remove him from attending Boro games again."

The Metropolitan Police's football unite said via its Twitter account that a man was charged with throwing an item onto the pitch and will face court.

Last month, a Sunderland fan was ejected from the Stadium of Light after he was reported to have defecated on his seat -- although police later said he was merely drunk.

Saudi Arabia will deposit $2 billion in Yemen’s central bank to prop up the currency after an urgent request for assistance from their allies to ease an economic crisis engulfing the war-ravaged nation.

King Salman issued the order to help support the rial, which has plummeted amid a lingering conflict between a government backed by Saudi Arabia’s military and rebels supported by Iran.

Saudi Arabia has already poured billions of dollars into the war since assembling a mainly-Sunni coalition in March 2015 to fight the Shiite rebels and restore the rule of President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

The conflict has plunged Yemen deeper into catastrophe, with the United Nations estimating that more than 10,000 civilians have been killed and three million displaced. Ahmed bin Daghr, the prime minister of Yemen’s internationally recognized government, said supporting the currency would help avert the risk of “imminent hunger.”

The deposit is “a war-related cost -- like the other forms of foreign aid Saudi is putting into Yemen,” said Jane Kinninmont, senior research fellow at Chatham House. “There are no signs of the war ending any time soon.”

The conflict in Yemen is widely seen as a proxy confrontation between Saudi Arabia and Iran, two powers at opposite sides of the region’s biggest conflicts. Tehran denies that its support for Yemen’s Houthi rebels amounts to direct military assistance against government forces backed by the Saudi-led military coalition.

Sapped by war, the Arab world’s poorest country has weathered a cholera epidemic and now faces famine. Bin Daghr, in an appeal issued by his office, said he was ready to quit if the coalition doubted the performance of his government or the central bank.

Yemen’s rial has fallen to 500 to the U.S. dollar on the black market, compared with the official rate of 380 rials, according to money dealers. The rate before the start of the war was 250 rials to the dollar.

“The kingdom will continue to assist Yemen in its efforts to restore security and stability,” the Saudi government said in a statement.

Police in Guinea say they have arrested a healer for conning hundreds of women into believing they were pregnant.

N'na Fanta Camara gave women who had been unable to conceive a mixture of leaves, herbs and other medicines that caused them to bloat and look pregnant.

For her services, patients paid $33 (£24), in a country where the average monthly wage is around $48 (£35).

Police believe Ms Camara made thousands of dollars a month, though she says she was only trying to help.

On Tuesday, more than 200 women protested outside the police station in the Guinean capital of Conakry where Ms Camara was held.

Over 700 women aged 17 to 45 are believed to have been affected by Ms Camara's pregnancy "cure".

The high numbers reflect Guinea, and the rest of Africa's, dependence on traditional healers.

In 2006, the World Health Organization said that 80% of Africans used traditional medical treatments.

"It's been a year now since we first went to see this woman," one of the protesters told the BBC's Alhassan Sillah in Conakry.

"During our first visit, she gave us some medicines of leaves and herbs that made us vomit. She assured us that this was good for us. As one continues to take these medicines, the stomach starts to rise a bit.

"After a while, we visited again, she examined us by just touching our bellies and she declared us pregnant."

The women added that Ms Camara told them not to go to a doctor, and once she declared them pregnant, they were expected to give her a chicken and fabrics in thanks.

Some of the women reported looking pregnant for 12 to 16 months.

A police doctor has examined 47 of the affected women and said they risked long-term complications from the treatment.

Ms Camara, however, maintains she didn't do anything wrong.

"I work very hard to help [the women] realise their dream but the rest is in the hands of God," she told reporters in Conakry.

A court is expected to charge her soon with endangering people's lives through fraudulent means.

Bentley has revealed the Bentayga V8, the petrol-engine equal to the Bentayga Diesel, sitting below the W12-engined model. 

The V8 sits almost directly between the two existing Bentayga variants. The 4.0-litre V8 makes 542bhp and 568lb ft, affording a 0-62mph of 4.5sec. This unit is shared with the Porsche Panamera Turbo and also set to feature in the new Bentley Continental GT. 

The Bentayga V8's top speed is 180mph, which is 12mph higher than the diesel and 7mph down on the W12. Despite the performance sitting between the two variants, the price of the V8 petrol Bentayga is £136,200 just £400 more than the diesel.

The Bentayga V8's 2395kg weight to the Diesel’s 2506kg and the W12’s 2440kg means that efficiency is up, too, with stop-start technology contributing to claimed average fuel economy of 24.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 260g/km to the other cars’ respective 35.8mpg and 210g/km and 21.6mpg and 296g/km.

Another fuel-saving measure is the V8’s cylinder shut-off technology, which effectively makes it a four-cylinder motor in certain circumstances.

Externally, the new model is largely unchanged from the full-fat W12 Bentayga. There’s a new 22in alloy wheel design, too, and the V8 gets altered front grille and tail-pipe designs.

Kawasaki has revealed a stunning futuristic superbike that can transform a high-speed racer to a three-wheeled cruiser at the flick of a button.

The J Concept superbike is a personal mobility system of the future that adapts to the type of travel required.The idea for the radical bike was first hinted five years ago at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The battery-powered cycle uses a unique shape-shifting mechanism to allow the rider to experience two different bike styles in the one machine.

While in sports mode, the suspension pulls the front two wheels together, drawing the rider lower down over the motor and giving it a racer-like appearance.

The transforming superbike isn't the first bizarre concept to be proposed recently.

THIS is the shocking moment a £110,000 610 hp Audi R8 rammed into the back of a black Nissan X-Trail with three kids inside on New Year’s Eve

The black Nissan X-Trail  was parked partly on the pavement on Thornton Road in Bradford when it was hit with massive force by a bright yellow Audi R8.

The force was so great it actually lifted the Nissan X-Trail into the air and then the Audi, now out of control, somehow does a U-turn loop which sees it ending up going back down the road on the opposite side.

Three children were checked over at the scene by paramedics but only one needed to go to the hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

Miraculously, the people in the Nissan X-Trail were seen getting out to remonstrate with the careless driver.

The 610 hp Audi R8 costs around £110,000 and can go from 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds.
