It uses numerous layers of security and encryption to render users anonymous online.The network has been linked to criminal activity such as drug dealing and even services to hire hit men.

Most of the web's information is buried far down on dynamically generated sites, unable to be found or seen by traditional search engines - sites or pages don't exist until created as the result of a specific search.

If you think you're safe to watch x-rated content on Incognito Mode at work, think again, according to the Google developer who created it.

Bosses can still keep a tab on employees' web searches when they are using the Incognito search, which contrary to popular belief is not actually private.

One of the developers has warned whatever you choose to watch is 'certainly still visible' to your employee, school or service provider.

Google's Vice President of Chrome Dan Fisher, who helped create the Incognito Mode in December 2008 told the online magazineThrillist that they did not call it 'privacy mode' for the simple reason it is not private.

Far from being a way to watch x-rated content without getting caught, the primary intention of Incognito Mode is to allow people to share devices without mucking up another user's cookies.

For example if a boyfriend is looking for engagement rings and does not want his girlfriend to see he can keep that content secret, Mr Fisher said.

'When you launch the incognito tab there's this disclaimer there where we really try to help make it really clear to people that your activity is certainly still visible to the websites you visit and could be visible to your employer, to your school, and to your [internet service provider] of course', said Mr Fisher.  

It is also useful if you want to book flights as it prevents airlines from keeping tabs on a user's activity and potentially increasing the price.

With shopping as well, using incognito stops companies being able to suggest 'similar items'.

Badoo cultists have struck again in Ikorodu, killing a mother and her two children.

The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday said it had arrested two persons in connection with the killing of three family members in a church’s premises.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Imohimi Edgal, who confirmed the arrest to newsmen, said that the incident happened at Temu village in Ikosi Ejirin Local Council Development Area of the state.

Although Edgal said two persons were killed, some residents told newsmen that a mother and her two children were killed in the incident.

The Lagos police boss said, “It is a clear case of murder. The landlady has been arrested and an Okada rider has been arrested.

“One of the victims watched television throughout the night with one of the suspects in our custody.

“It has nothing to do with ritual killing as speculated.”

Edgal said that investigation had commenced into the killings.

Residents of the community disclosed that a woman and her two children were killed by suspected “badoo” cultists at about 2am on Monday.

The hoodlums, it was learnt, scaled through the fence and killed Iyabo (mother), David (4) and Rachael (8] with stones while sleeping, a trademark of the badoo group.

A resident, Mr Adeshina Idowu, said that the death of the family took the community by surprise.

“The family just moved into the community six months ago; we were surprised when somebody came to me that Mama David is dead.

“When we got to the scene, the assailants had killed the woman and her two children who were with her in the apartment.

“How they entered into the victims’ compound without the guard knowing about it is a mystery to us,” he said.

Another resident, who simply gave his name as Tajudeen, said residents immediately reported the incident at Agbowa Police Division.

“Initially we thought it was armed robbery case.

“But when we entered into their apartment and saw stone used by the assailants, then we knew that it is the handiwork of Badoo cultists,” he said

It was further learnt that policemen from Agbowa Police Division had evacuated the corpses to the mortuary.

Ricky Preddie
One of the men who killed ten-year-old Damilola Taylor has been sent back to prison for a fourth time since his conviction.

Ricky Preddie, 30, is being held in Wormwood Scrubs, West London, after being charged with two driving offences, but failing to attend the magistrates’ court for his trial.

He was convicted in his absence and sentenced to six weeks, as well as an additional four weeks for missing his court date. 

Preddie served just four years of an eight-year sentence imposed in 2006 after he and his brother Danny, aged 13 and 12 at the time, stabbed Damilola in the leg with a broken bottle as the schoolboy walked home from a library in Peckham, south London, in November 2000. 

He was first released in September 2010, but recalled to custody in March 2011 after returning to Peckham from his west London bail hostel in breach of his licence conditions.

Then in October 2011 he beat up another prisoner, but a Parole Board hearing on December 23 decided he should be released on January 25, 2012.

He lasted just 16 days before being taken back to prison for again violating his parole by going to areas he was banned from and visiting friends from his old gang.

He’s back inside for a fourth time, but nobody would be surprised if that became five in the near future. 'He just can’t seem to escape his past.'

A woman ended up with her head stuck between two bars while trying to climb over a barrier as she crossed a road.

And even more embarassingly for the woman, who has not been identified, the incident in Zhejiang, China, was caught on CCTV. Footage of the incident captures the almost impressive feat of athleticism. The woman somehow manages to flip over entirely, leaving her legs hanging in the air and her head lodged in between the bars.

Passers by reportedly tried to help the woman out of the compromising position, but were unable to do so. Firefighters were eventually called and used large hydraulic tools to free the woman.

The rescuers expanded the gap between the metal bars until it was wide enough for her head to slip through. The woman suffered minor scratches but escaped serious injury.

US Navy officials have been left red-faced after one of their jet pilots drew a large penis in the sky over Washington state.

Images posted on social media showed the image stretching high over Okanogan County.

"The actions of this aircrew are wholly unacceptable and antithetical to Navy core values," said a statement issued by the NAS Whidbey Island airbase.

"We have grounded the aircrew and are conducting a thorough investigation, and we will hold those responsible accountable for their actions.

The aircraft involved was an E/A-18 Growler, the Navy said.The carrier-based plane carries a two-person crew.

The plane flew over the small town in a pattern "that left a condensed air trail resembling an obscene image to observers on the ground", the Navy said.

"Sophomoric and immature antics of a sexual nature have no place in Naval aviation today," Vice Admiral Mike Shoemaker, the commander of Naval Air Forces, added in a statement.

"We will investigate this incident to get all the facts and act accordingly."The names of the air crew were not released.
A local television station said one mother in Okanogan County was concerned she might have to explain the image to her young children.

But local resident Ramone Duran told the Seattle Times newspaper that "after it made the circles at the bottom, I knew what it was and started laughing".

This is not the first time an air crew has pulled such a stunt, the BBC reported.

After unveiling the statues of two African presidents, Jacob Zuma of South Africa and Ellen Sirleaf Johnson of Liberia, Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha is set to unveil 10 more statues.

Even though his actions had generated lots of controversies, Saturday PUNCH learnt on Friday that the governor would soon unveil more statues.

Our correspondent visited the Ikemba Ojukwu Centre in Owerri, Imo State capital, where the statues were erected, but security men didn’t allow him to enter.
However, a top Government House official told our correspondent that Okorocha was set to unveil statues of former President Olusegun Obasanjo; a former Vice-President, Alex Ekwueme; a former Senate President, late Evans Enwerem; and the first civilian Imo State Governor, Sam Mbakwe.

According to the source, others whose statues would soon be unveiled are those of the first Nigerian President, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe; former Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa; late sage, Obafemi Awolowo; and Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo.

The source said that of Akufo-Addo would be unveiled at a ceremony when he visits the state soon.

The government official said the idea of unveiling the statues was to celebrate leaders, who had through “selfless efforts” contributed to the development of the state, Nigeria and the African continent.

The source said, “The governor is interested in celebrating those who have contributed to the development of mankind, especially on the African continent. In the years to come, these leaders will be no more but their statues will keep them evergreen in the minds of the people.

“With the statues, they have been inducted into the Imo Hall of Fame and have received the highest award in the state called the Imo Merits Award.”

When asked how much each statue cost the state government, the official said they were not as expensive as people were exaggerating.

“It is not as costly as people had exaggerated. Though I don’t know the exact amount, the government cannot use about N500m to erect one statue. It is not possible. The governor is a prudent manager of resources,” he said.

Meanwhile, a former governor of the state, Ikedi Ohakim, has criticised Okorocha for spending state resources on building statues.

Ohakim, who handed power over to Okorocha in 2011, said that his successor had impoverished the people and failed “comprehensively” in terms of leadership and development.

He said, “Should I praise Okorocha because civil servants now receive half of their salaries instead of 100 per cent? Should I praise his government for owing pensioners for over 30 months and recently issuing dud cheques to them? What exactly are those good works for which I was supposed to be showering praises on the governor?

“The fact is that no right-thinking Nigerian can praise Rochas. Our biggest industry, education, is in a free fall. Youth unemployment has risen to an unprecedented height. Executive promises are discarded like used napkins like the promise of conducting local government area election, which has been made eight times but discarded eight times.

“Quality and due process have been relegated to the background, leading to an unmitigated infrastructural disaster like roads collapsing within 90 days. There is also a deliberate strategy to destroy our judicial system.

“Court orders are hardly obeyed, judicial quarters are bulldozed with recklessness and as of today, judicial officers are being owed 11 months’ salaries, while monuments costing hundreds of millions of naira are being mounted for foreign dignitaries and whereas our children are killed in their countries.”

Similarly, a group called the Igbo National Council said it was a show of shame by the Okorocha administration to have erected Zuma’s statue in the state.

INC also said that the naming of a street in Owerri after Zuma was unfortunate.

INC President, Chilos Godsent, told Saturday PUNCH that South Africa, in recent times, had recorded the “wanton killing of many Igbo youths who are doing business or working in South Africa in the name of xenophobia.”

He said, “Zuma cannot be said to be a Nigerian or an Igbo patriot; he has not contributed in any capacity to the well-being of Imo State indigenes or the Igbo.”

INC said the INC was, therefore, calling on Okorocha “to immediately reverse the naming of a street in Owerri after Zuma and dismantle his statue.”

Back in 1997 in the German city of Frankfurt, a man reported his car as stolen to the police.

Twenty years later, the authorities in the city have tracked down the missing vehicle, only to discover that the man who owned it had in fact, just forgotten where he’d parked the car and had assumed it had been stolen.

The vehicle was found in a garage in an old industrial building that is due to be demolished.The car was in the way of the demolition so it was reported to the police who then investigated who the owner was.

According to German regional paper Augsberger Allgemein, the man, now 76-years-old, was driven by the police with his daughter to be reunited with the car.Unfortunately the car was no longer functional and had to be scrapped.

“The car can no longer be driven and will be sent to the scrap heap,” Frankfurt authorities said.

The incident is reminiscent of another German case, in which a man was reunited with his vehicle two years after parking up and going on a drinking binge in Munich, only to forget where he’d parked. He reported it missing and eventually police found the vehicle 4km away from where the man thought he’d parked it.

It had 40,000 euros in cash in the boot, along with 50,000 euros worth of tools.

Earlier this year a man from Scotland lost his car after attending a Stoneroses gig in Manchester. He reportedly searched for the vehicle for 5 days before giving up. He even contacted the council and various companies in a bid to trace the vehicle.

He eventually reported the car stolen, but it was found six months later, exactly where he’d left it, though with parking fines estimated at over £5,000.

Bryan Anthony Bowen approached two girls on Facebook, sending them obscene messages and asking for naked pictures, according to the Daily Post.

Judge Rhys Rowland said that Bowen, 26, of Welshpool, was “small in stature and emotionally inadequate,” saying he would have a hard time in prison.

Bowen, who had no previous convictions, sent a 15-year-old girl messages saying, “Do you want to f***?” and “I will f*** you for your birthday present.”

When police searched his laptop, they found he had previously approached a 13-year-old girl with a series of messages, including one saying she was, “Fit as f***.”

Judge Rowland handed Bowen, who has learning difficulties and went to a special school, a 48-week prison sentence suspended for two years.

He will register as a sex offender for 10 years.

She explains that she had heard a noise from inside the house. As she films the mess, she pans the camera to one of her cats lying under a chair and says: 'But then we find this guy under here.'

Her cat Gizmo is filmed lounging under one of the chairs with its paws up, appearing in a daze. The woman asks if Gizmo had eaten her plants, and then lets out a tired meow in reply.

Not to be outdone, another cat on the other side of the chair is filmed as it lounges on its back and lets out a groggy meow of its own.

The incident happened earlier this year on June 11 in Gilbertville, Massachusetts.

The owner of the plants said: 'My grow lights had broken and I moved my plants onto the porch for about 15-20 minutes.

Officials have banned junior drag racing in Western Australia following the death of a girl, 8, who crashed into a concrete barrier. Anita Board suffered ‘severe injuries’ in the collision at the Perth Motorplex yesterday and died later at Princess Margaret Hospital.

She had been taking a test to acquire her junior dragster racing licence after qualifying for the exam when she turned eight last week. Mick Murray, who is Sport and Recreation Minister, has decided to immediately halt youth drag racing pending a police investigation. A statement said: ‘The suspension of this category of motorsport activity allows for a full investigation to be carried out into the nature of the accident. ‘The State Government will wait until the details of the accident are clear following the investigation before taking any further action.’

Remind them that you love them.’ Australia’s acting Premier Roger Cook added the age limit may need to be reviewed following the accident. Current rules stipulate children can start competing from the age of eight and beginners can operate vehicles that go 40-50km/h.

Patrice Evra's contract has been terminated by Marseille after he was banned until June 2018 for kung-fu kicking a fan.

The former France captain was sent off before Marseille's Europa League defeat against Vitoria on November 2 after lashing out at a supporter who Evra claimed was abusing him.

UEFA charged Evra under article 15 of their disciplinary regulations, which deals with the misconduct of players, banning him from their club competitions until June.

And Marseille quickly followed news of his suspension by terminating his contract with immediate effect.

A statement published on Marseille's website read: "Patrice Evra has been exemplary on the field and in the locker room. He played an important role in reviving the team and in the improvement of results.

"However, on November 2 in Guimaraes he committed an irreparable act by responding to provocations from a handful of individuals.

"Nothing justified such a reaction, especially from a senior player whose attitude both on and off the pitch should inspire the youngest of us.

"In that context, the conditions were no longer right for Patrice Evra to accomplish his mission here with serenity or, above all, effectively.

"Both parties agreed to end the collaboration by mutual consent.

"This incident also highlighted the unacceptable attitude of a small number of people who uttered insults and threats of violence towards the player and his family before contemptuously invading the pitch.

"Such behaviour, which exposes the club to sanctions, has no place in the stands of a football stadium and at Marseille in particular."

Club president Jacques-Henri Eyraud added: "Today, there is sadness. For Patrice Evra first, who obviously understood all the consequences of his action and who will no longer be able to exercise his passion at Olympique de Marseille.

BMW has announced recalls totaling more than one million vehicles in the United States over the risk of random fires in the engine bay,even when the car isn't in use.

BMW also advice car owners to park their affected cars outside until repairs can be completed.

Documents posted by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show the problem is rooted in two places.

First, 670,000 3-Series models of all variants from 2006-2011 are being recalled because the wiring in the heating and air conditioning system can overheat and catch fire.

In the second, larger recall, 740,000 six-cylinder models from 2007-2011 are possibly afflicted with a faulty valve heater that also poses a fire risk. These vehicles include both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive versions of the 328i, 525i, 528i, 530i, and X3 3.0si, along with the X5 xDrive30i, Z4, and the 2008-2011 128i.

BMW said that repairs will be available at dealers starting on December 18, and that owners should park their vehicles outside "in an abundance of caution" until then.
Dealers will replace either the heater,the HVAC wiring, or both for the 3-Series cars unlucky enough to fall under both recalls.

Four people have reported injuries related to the 3-Series wiring recall, while no injuries have been documented in cases involving the valve heater issue.
