Expect Nigeria-assembled Toyota cars this year – Ade-Ojo February 27, 2017

The first set of Nigeria-assembled Toyota cars will be rolled out in a couple of months, the Chairman, Toyota Nigeria Limited, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, has said.

He spoke in Lagos at the unveiling of an automobile assembling plant dedicated to the production of two vehicle brands, Toyota and JAC, with a target of 15,000 vehicles yearly.

“The semi-knocked down parts have yet to come; but in a few months’ time, they’ll arrive here in Lagos and we’ll invite guests to come and be part of history, to witness the unveiling of locally-assembled Toyota cars,” Ade-Ojo said.

proforce in ogun state has been assembling armoured vehicles not even ordinary vehicles since 2008 and no Yoruba man is chest beating about it

lanre shittu and elizade are still far ahead of innoson and cosharis

I'm sure elizade has been in the business for over 4 decades
So you assume everyone you meet online is an illiterate like you.

You don't even know that Elizade is a sole distributor just like Coscharis

Proforce is an APC manufacturer

Next time research well before embarrassing yourself.

futurism:
manufacture what sef? was it not few weeks back someone was educating you lots that no company manufacture wholly. They buy from different sources and assemble.

During this Huwaei and US fracas, an analysis showed that Huwaei depend on other companies for 96% of its components. Invariably, we can say that all companies ASSEMBLE!

Besides, Nigeria does not have the capacity to manufacture anything. Na assemble everybody dey do. where is the power supply and technological know how to make that happen? Our Ajaokuta steel complex is lying fallow somewhere in Kogi and you are here talking rubbish... keep waiting while those who face reality assemble and sell to you.
They don't know the Assembly is subdivision of manufacturing.

Every manufacturer have Assembly plant.

the Answer is No..

no car loan for civil servant in which it will enable them to grow fast...

you can't trade in there vehicles because they themselves Don't have adequate spare parts...

what is the benefits of them be the manufacturer ?

Because you label an item or you put it inside nylon and wrap it doesn't make you the manufacturer - the people he outsourced it too - are the manufacturers of his design, it's his name but not his labour, it's the outsourced company equipment which produces what he wants, according to his specification - we should learn to put things in the proper context jare- they manufacture according to what he wants he assembles
Sorry you don't understand manufacturing.

Every product you isn't 100% from the manufacturers.

Minjim:
You're still saying the same thing.

If it's outsourced the producer will write parts manufactured in ....... Assembled in ......

You can't misled people and say it's Made in Nigeria
So if Benz Tyres are made in China, and the final product comes from Germany.

What will you write as your finish product. Germany or China.

Kindly check all TV, Mobile Phones, their components come from different manufacturers.

Whether they are designed by him or not, he outsourced it to the person producing the items - that person is the manufacturer he is just the designer and assembler - for better understanding you have land to build a house and you have a design in mind - you hire an architect who designs a house according to what you like -an engineer builds it, does that mean that in right terms you built the house? No! Thou you provided all the necessary requirements
If you use a contractor, he will hire an architect, and the the Engineer.
The contractor is the Builder - i.e Julius Berger

Lol,
In manufacturing, you don't outsource all components to one manufacturer.

You outsource different components to specific manufacturer.

For example , Benz don't produce Tyres, and other components but they manufactures Benz vehicles.

Which brings us back to what he does - assemble the parts after the outsourced parts are sent to them - simple

if he was manufacturing all the people in owerri wouldn't be sufficient a work force for him and they would be on shifts
Ogbeni, he is the manufacturers of his products.

Every components he outsourced are designed by him and most meet his specifications.

Benz, Toyota, Honda all out source.

Do you know some Aircraft use Roll-Royce engine?

Alaye he assemblies does innoson have a blast furnace where they produce the fenders or body parts, talk less of engine parts - ti won ba tan e, iwo na ma lo tan candle O!
Have you heard about outsourcing?

Most manufacturers outsource, body and engine parts.

Even Aircraft manufacturers do same.

If my vehicle brand is registered, I can outsource all my components and assemble at different locations.

He assembles, he only produces bumpers the small items, foot mats, dash boards, all the heavy items that make the engine and the body of the car Are all imported, he also paints deep soak, over baking
Ogbeni, innoson manufacturers.

All those things you mentioned is common with every Automobile manufacturer.

Politics › Insecurity: Don’t Ignore Obasanjo’s Comment, Soyinka Tells FG by OBAGADAFFI(op): 1:03pm On May 23, 2019
Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka has asked the Federal Government not to ignore former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s assertion that activities of Boko Haram and herdsmen in Nigeria are now West African Fulanisation and Islamisation agenda. Speaking yesterday in Lagos at an event organised by the United Bank of Africa to mark the 2019 Africa Day, Soyinka said rather than dismiss Obasanjo’s comment, the government should deal with its substance.

He said: “Everybody knows me and Obasanjo, and I think we should be careful not to be too dismissive or abrasive. The language must be put aside and let us deal with the substance.

Let us analyse carefully what the (former) president has said “I was listening to the Minister of Information; they are living aside the substance and dealing with the person. Obasanjo also called for a meeting to deal with the social malaise of suicide, kidnapping, noting that we had better sit down and tackle this issues.”

Soyinka said leaders get too distracted about the “marvellous concept of unity” and ignore the issues that threaten our existence. This country is undergoing a horrendous descent into the abysmal”.

He noted that the issue of Boko Haram had been debated in relation to African wellbeing in the House of Common in London. He urged the government to prioritize the material condition of its citizens, saying ”we are being re-colonized by a number of forces.”

Samsung, LG will be the biggest winners here.

Most Chinese products are stolen patents from Japanese, S- Korean and EU countries.

Chine and Huawei Will loose this battle.
