ndidigood: Whatz the easiest route? All registrar must upload your e-divided information on the NIBSS platform for your bank conformation. So go through your bank, tell them (bank) to upload your e-div on the NIBSS platform for you. Then call the registrar to confirm. |

peacettw: I lost my respect for this man a long time ago. All I can say towards this supposed success is this, your time has come and gone... Leave the younger ones to find their footing. Michael Jordan retired from basketball and will forever be remembered as one of the greatest athlete of our generation with millions from endorsements etc. Tiger Woods should aim towards that. Repair your public image first and help us forget your past deeds. Then work towards immortalizing your name in golf. Winning tournaments by a stroke of luck etc will not do that Why are you angry he is back after all the pulling down. You can never put a men down forever. |

RabbiDoracle: You don't need to bother yourself. Go to their site, download the form and fill it. Ensure you put your BVN number. This is enough to verify who you are. That is what SEC wants them to do now. So long as there is BVN supplied by the person filling the form, it is left for the registrar to confirm it themselves. Some registrars are very stubborn. Even when you explain to them, they will insist you do what they(Registrars) they told you. I experienced the same issue with Atlas registrars (FLourmills) Eric moore . |

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has ranked Nigeria as the world’s second worst country in the use of sovereign wealth funds. This is revealed in the Fiscal Monitor Report released on today by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). According to the report, Qatar is the only country worse than Nigeria on the index. The Bretton Wood Institution disclosed that the index was compiled using the corporate governance and transparency scores of the sovereign wealth funds and the size of assets as a percentage of 2016 GDP of the countries considered. https://nairametrics.com/2019/04/10/breaking-imf-ranks-nigerias-sovereign-wealth-fund-second-worst-in-the-world/ |

Godlylifeoneart: I mentioned it yesterday that Al JUBRIL bubu is an anti devaluation. He dictates the exchange rate for EMEFIELE. A lot of people do not know the economic implications of pegging the currency in a nation that import almost everything from China. We import what we have and export what we lack. As we are talking now, the nation of Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya are far ahead of Nigeria. You need to follow the Kenyan Stock Exchange and see what foreign portfolio investors are doing to the economy of that Nation. All the money that supposed to be judiciously used to provide quality health care for the masses are being used to defend the Naira. Today, the life expectancy in Nigeria is dropping at geometrical rate. We still have one of the highest maternal mortality in the world. Same for infant mortality. It will get to a stage, the strength of the FGN to defend the Naira will collapse. If you are into Forex, you will notice the US $ is never static, up and down same for pound and Euro. The strength of the Naira should be determined by the true reflection of our country micro and macro economies indices, Not by the selfish interest of Bubu. Pegging is indeed causing more contracting economy for Nigeria. The issue of inflation can be addressed by competition, we all can recall the price of a Sim card at inception of GSM and the price today, the price of the earlier and archaic handsets and the price of a modern Android. The price of the 1st generation hp laptop and the price of the modern one. Government should not be overprotective of the masses, they should rather provide the enabling environment for investors. Like I mentioned yesterday, the universal rule of money states that money can never be static, it must keep changing hands. Same is applicable for the economy of a prosperous nation, it is not the numbers of Millionaires you have that matter but the no of people that are able to touch the million on daily basis. I. E how many hands are able to exchange the million daily. In 2016,An article was published on the billions of dollars in fallow account , idle in deposit money banks in Nigeria. You will be amazed that Nigerians could bail out this nation with dollars in individual domicilary accounts. The American keeps moving dollars to foreign nations all in an effort to prevent devaluation. If government is serious and floats the naira, there will be less $ in fallow dom accounts. The saving grace of FGN action in pegging the naira is actually the high inflow from diaspora remittance. Free money for the government. One may even deduce that diaspora remittance is now one of the mainstay of Nigeria economy. Despite this, the government will waste this money yearly and transfer it to the government of Saudi Arabia and Israel in the name of religious pilgrimage. The event of the past few days in the Nigeria bourse is the true reflection of Nigeria economy. For those that do not know a vibrant NSE will impact positively on the masses not just you that made a profit, In a way your profit will transform into spending, your spending will promote another man's business and the cycle continue. This is how a true economy should be. Once the mirror image of Nigeria economy is battered it will definitely affect all and sundry. Now, the government is contemplating increment in Vats, let's see what the effect would be on the economy. Finally, i fink d govt has overdefended the naira with an analogue idea. Time to wake up and embrace digital economy, not just currency devaluation vs pegging. Cheers Though, I do not totally agree with the CBN "defending the Naira" , but devaluation is never the solution. The government made the grate mistake of restricting forex within the economy in 2015. |

bankylan: If I may ask, who told you trousers belong to men? There was no trouser in Bible time and besides, clothing is a cultural and not spiritual. What will you tell the Swedish or maybe Ireland where men wear skirt or the Igbo brothers and Ijaw men with wrappers? Until you read the Bible with the help of Holy Spirit, you will be enslaved by the letter and not the spirit. Have you heard of "Dress code" ? |

Valueinvestor: You are absolutely right sir, but that's wat they use as a guide atimes in picking stocks , I myself am not a dividend hunter, I just use dividend yield as a guide(at least I can always get 10%or more from dividend if the expected capital appreciation does not work out) . I would rather wait for capital appreciation on a high yield dividend stock than a low yield dividend stock Yes, because these stocks provide constant dividend and stable earnings regardless of the state of the overall stock market. |

Valueinvestor: NSE will still open shop next year. You don't seem to understand how these FPI behaves, most of these people target stocks that give between 5-8%(in countries with stable economy). There is no doubt that presently NSE has stocks with one of the best bargains across major markets cos of a lot of mispricing due to negative sentiments. Let's pick Afriprud and zenithbank as an example at current price, if they pay same dividend next year, that would be 12 and 14% dividend yield respectively. Which FPI, Will not want to key into this when they see small stability in the economy. These FPI prefer price appreciation to dividend yield. |
