Military presence is more preferable to excess police presence on the roads due to the extent of police extortion. Obiano has simply said the truth, it is mainly criminals and criminally minded people that are agitated over the presence of military men on the road.

Not every story has a source, it was a known fact amongst political circles at the time that not just Ibori, but just about all the Niger-Delta governors at the time in 2010 were against Jonathan's emergence as president during the Yaradua's sickness saga.

Obviously a lot of people are ignorant of the real story between GEJ and Ibori; a lot today even automatically assume Ibori is a friend to GEJ due to ethnic/regional links.

During the Yaradua sickness saga, Ibori wilfully made himself the enemy number 1 of GEJ out of his greed and ambition; Ibori was the number 1 member and financier of the Turai Yaradua Kitchen cabinet that treated GEJ as a piece of trash when Yaradua was sick. Word at the time had it that Ibori personally rented the air ambulance which brought back the comatose Yaradua from Saudi Arabia after GEJ was declared Acting President. Ibori's number 1 target was to make sure GEJ did not succeed Yaradua, but after he failed, and was being hounded by EFCC, he (ibori) had to flee the country to Dubai where he was caught by Interpol and extradited to the UK.

The story of Ibori's release has already been turned into Igbo vs Yoruba war on Nairaland. And I can't understand why some just take it as a birthright upon themselves to take sides or support anybody who has been identified with stains of corruption?... What kind of youths do we even have in this country?

If past leaders like GEJ did their job, people like the Turai that you mentioned should have been investigated and punished accordingly if found guilty. But the sickening attitude and mentality of the black man which pushes him to passionately defend any 'big man' is the reason why the cycle of corruption will never cease.

Of course if Patience and others are allowed to go untouched today, when Buhari leaves power and a new regime wants to investigate his current activities, there will always be excess supply of people with your kind of mentality who would jump out defending him and that's exactly how the destructive cycle has been perpetuated for decades.

Former heads of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) failed to remit the sum of N1.993 trillion recovered funds, a security and investigation consultant, George Uboh has claimed.

Details of the allegations in documents sighted by Daily Trust are contained in a petition to the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) dated 19th December.

The petition signed by the former EFCC consultant, requested the DSS to make the acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu effect remittance of the funds to federal government coffers and prosecute him.

Uboh said that of the N2.051 trillion recovered by the EFCC since inception, only N6.7 billion was remitted to the federal government leaving a balance of N1.993 trillion unremitted funds.

Meanwhile, executive director the Citizens Advancement for Social and Economic Rights (CASER), Barrister Frank Tietie has given the National Assembly 48 hours to review all cases handled by the EFCC where persons, who have forfeited monies to the commission will appear to testify.

We didnt be them to put him in prison, they did so out of their own free will. The individual stole money from Nigeria and was being chased by Nigerian authorities. He ran to Dubai, was caught by interpol, was extradited to the Uk and jailed in the UK for money laundering. Now the UK wants to claim a whooping £18 million from his loot; money which belongs to Delta state Nigeria. Once again I ask, 'did we beg them to jail him?... is it their money?'
