Happy weekend to everybody, GOD blessed my family with a new baby recently and I have been busy with some other schedules recently, that's why I have not posted here since.

Congratulations to all members who got their 2nd NL recently including my family's own that came the second day after birth of our new baby, God will grant us all, successful interview.

To those who have gone for medicals & police reports, congrats, may we all have successful interview by God's Grace.

However, I observed the low percentage of interview testimonies here in this October, is it that people were not that current or they are concealing the works of GOD?

Lets endeavor to share as they all help others

Once again, Im very grateful to GOD Almighty and all memebers of this forum.
As I updated last week when my wife gave birth, she was discharged on saturday 19th, but could not do much online as a result of busy schedules and visitor in our house.

summary of the process to birth:
She went for Regular ANC on monday 14th oct. after examining her by her consultant, she was admitted that her LMP was due, that as a result, she ought to have put to bed on preceding Friday, my wife argued that talking from her previous two deliveries, she normally put to bed at scan EDD which this current one reads 20th Oct. Hence she doesnt feel any symptom of Labour, but the consultant and the Doctors there refused and insisted that shes post due, therefore she called me to bring babay things to the Hospital.
they pass catether on that Monday's night and commenced proper inducement the next morning. on Wednesday the Doctor had been suggesting the CS as the inducement failed, but thank GOD for answering our prayers, on Thursday afternoon, she delivered normally without the CS.

Lessons learnt
1. Irrespective of Doctor's or Consultant's point of view, Let them know what you feel, your medical history and maintain it by speaking with them regularly cos on our case, I feel they were too much in haste to induce her
2. Call on GOD, your faith can do something (you can make vow to GOD like mine, which I redeemed when she put to bed)

SORRY FOR THE LONG STORY

Bludeville: I'm going to try to make this as short as possible.. Labour induction comes in three stages
1. Ripening the cervix ( where they give drugs such as cytotec which can also induce contractions )
2. breaking the water
( now your cervix is ready, and your water is out of the way) some women start experiencing contractions at this stage if not then step 3
3. induced contractions ( with oxytocin injection )

In the event of a failed induction, next is CS. What are the doctors saying?

They said they are watching & examining

Obatide: Good day all Preggy mums, I've been following this tread for quite some time now and I must confess that Information here have been helpful, thanks for sharing.
Kindly discuss how long it takes for an LABOUR INDUCED woman to give birth, I'm asking for my wife. Pls respond ASAP
Thank you all
Obatide:
This is a case of 3rd birth(1st &2nd were born at EDD with normal & natural Labour).
For this one, they said her LMP is post due since last week, but EDD from scan is still next week, so they started inducement on Monday's night and Labour is yet to commence still. What should we do pls?
Thanks ahead of responses

Bludeville:
there is no set time, it can take a few hours or as long as 2-3 days . it depends on a lot of factors, how the body responds, the method used, the reason for induction etc
typically the shorter your gestation age and also first timers, the longer it takes.
Thanks for the response

bamideleniayo: Waooooh@ OBATIDE.... That sure helps Bro.. And wen is appropriate to do the MEDICALS , is it once we get the 2NL because I heard they give substantial number of weeks before the day of interview
And 2ndly, in the VISA BULLETIN, When does it entail when it says ...>AFRICA 17,900 EXCEPT NIGERIA 8,000...... Then someone with CN 7*** , wat does it entail......?? I appreciate.!

Definitely, MEDICALS come after receiving 2NL. It is therefore advisable to do medicals like 2 weeks to the interview day so as to avoid being expired before traveling to the USA. Note that medical has 6months expiration period

Your 2nd quesion has been answered in my previous post, where I used October bulletin as example. https://www.nairaland.com/1275397/dv-2014-winners-meet-here/96 but if you have further question, kindly post it
Does that help?

bamideleniayo: @ OBATIDE..> thanks u so much,u've been really helpful..
And I also want to ask this that has been really bodering me for a while now... The. NPC BIRTH CERTIFICATE (Attestation of Birth) that has been so much talked about , can we get from any state iiregardless of the state of birth.
And Secondly, the said POLICE REPORT, is it only gotten in LAGOS? Thnks Much..!

You are welcome.
For the NPC stuff, it's a federal parastatal thing, therefore u can obtain it in any state of the federation. Their office in Lagos is at babs animashaun in Surulere while in Ogun state, it is in the Federal secretariat beside high court around Oke-mosan.

For police report, people say it is obtainable in any state in Nigeria but costly, because all states process it in Alagbon-Lagos. So My advice, program yourself to do it in Lagos on the day of Your medical examinations, so far you must be in Lagos for your medical.
It is achievable in a DAY.
I do hope it helps?

bamideleniayo: @ OBATIDE, Thanks much for ur reply.. But I jst want more clarification on what u said earlier that it takes between six to eight weeks... Does the 4-6 Weeks as to do with the time it take KCC to process the forms.. Because I just callled them some hours ago and they confirmed they have received it and they said the forms are being Processed... Thnks

It's for processing bro.
That was what I was told when I mail them sometimes, but I think that number of week is a function of numbers of correspondences they received, it could even be earlier than that. Just relax once u r sure its been received by them.

bamideleniayo: @Obatide...Thank u much for the estimate breakdown..
Pls I don't know if u or anyone can help me with this..? How long does it take KCC to giive a reply on received submitted forms or is it appropriate to call KCC to verify if they have actually received the forms sent to them because emails this days can be hacked.. Thnks mch

It takes between six to eight weeks.
However, you may call or mail kccdv@state.gov around that period for confirmation.
Hope it helps?

1. Each applicant will need to obtain an original birth certificate issued by the official custodian of birth records in the country of birth, showing the date and place of birth and the parentage of the applicant, based upon the original registration of birth. Submit to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at your interview. Important Notice: All Immigrant Visa applicants must submit a long form original birth certificate. Short form birth certificates will not be accepted.

The certificate must contain the:

Person's date of birth;
Person's place of birth;
Names of both parents; and,
Annotation by the appropriate authority indicating that it is an extract from the official records.

hence, NPC ATTESTATION IS REQUIRED FROM HER TOO

Thank you for that piece of information but i need clarification on the statement"photocopy' of all documents. Does it include the police report which i presume should be a confidential.

For the spouse of principal applicant: My birth certificate was issued by local govt in mid 70's & just to find out if i need to do the NPC one.

My spouse (principal applicant) already obtained the one from NPC & need to know if it's a must that i get the NPC birth certificate as well.

To be at the safer side, I will advice you to get the one from NPC in as much as it was clearly stated on their site.
You may check my previous post on the topic to get more insight about it.
I hope it helps?
